Great idea. I'll have a go at Circuit-izing my mandolin.
@Trueyorky, if it's no hassle, would you mind posting screenshots of pages 3 & 4? Am wondering whether to get MD Pro. Are there any of the editor functions that you needed to leave out (besides patch saving etc, of course)? It's very cool to have these various choices of editor on iPad.
@Trueyorky Have you encountered the issues with MIDI mapping of the LFO wave shape as described by @Crabman ?
So, did you chain patterns, then perform Synth tracks over the extended chain?
man, this thing blows me away.Took me a day to make my own synth presets first (i think most factory sounds a bit lame) but now the fun actually started...and fun it is,oh boy.Tarekith is right...a second one is quite tempting and definitely not wasted money
would you mind sharing your presets? I just want to have a quick test to see what sounds this is capable of before I sell it on
I've had a bad week so decided to treat myself. One Novation Circuit coming right up!
Uh oh, you might become addicted to bad weeks.

You can do lots of different styles with the circuit. This is an ambient spooky jam I did on bonfire night.
I'm just waiting for a pattern backup option. Been so productive with it I'm rapidly filling up the memory..

Don't know if it was chained on that one, but you can just like that. I use a really slow tempo and double time it to get longer patterns.
I know you said patterns, but just in case you haven't seen it, there is the backup all the sessions option in the Librarian at:

Ha, this thing is great fun!
Decided to sell my Circuit... see https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/13430/fs-uk-novation-circuit?new=1
I'm aboard the circuit train as of last night, spent the whole night just noodling and I really like the machine a lot, time to start creating my own synth patches.
what would it have taken for you to keep it?
Said goodbye to my circuit today.. New owner seemed like a pretty cool guy who was using lots of hardware. I'm sure it will be great for him. I> @kobamoto said:
Well for me, I'm waiting for a circuit sampler. Same thing with audio input, a small oled, and sample chopping and you won't be able to pull me away from it.
Good question! In practical terms, space and money! in that respect it was a straight shootout with my Monomachine.
For the Circuit:
-Immediacy
Against the Circuit:
-Too few parts (2 synths not enough for me) - lack of synth parts would be ok if extra MIDI channels available
-I think it works best tethered to a computer for firstly editing and lately sample management. I am hardware only and so hooking it up to my family PC was a pain.
The Circuit is terrific fun, sounds great but my Monomachine more so! I was only going to keep it to use as a poly synth but my iOS synths and OP1 can do that.
you and me both!!!
I see. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for the circuit .
for me it will be a second circuit.I'm already quite sure about this
you guys and your custom interfaces are making it really hard to resist this thing. And with @Tarekith endorsements along with stuff like
this place is growing to be more and more expensive!
I wouldn't say I endorse it, but I do think everyone should sell the rest of their music gear to get one.
Oh wait....
@ghostly606, I've been holding myself back from asking, but did you go any further with your TB MIDI Stuff template? Thanks
Edit: Scratch that, I guess, seeing as you mention selling it, above
I've just started on a Lemur template, don't know how long it will take but i'm gonna try and not play with my new toy and create this template
OK So I've got my Lemur Template almost done, still doing final testing.....Screens below. Anyone know the sysex commands for sending/receiving the patches, and the format of the data transferred. If not I guess I'll have to use a MIDI Monitor and work it out.
Also, is there a way of saving the patch on the device itself, i.e I create a patch using the editor, which is sending CC's and NRPN's, is there a button combination I can press to save the patch ?
Looks very nice. I have had a bit of a rethink on selling my Circuit so might give this a try when ready. I really need to finish off my TB MIDI Stuff version, I wish there was an app that increased the number of hours in a day...
OMG, that looks awesome!
Have you figured out how to save the patches or retrieve a patch from the circuit. I know there are sysex commands for it, just got no documentation on it, and with the number of parameters, it is gonna take a while to figure it all out using monitoring.
No idea sorry, I am not that clever when it comes to sysex, just know basic CC, and at a push NRPN stuff. I was just going to set up an init patch on the TB MIDI Stuff editor and have a same patch sitting on the Circuit so the two are in sync.
Yeah, that is where I am at, but how do you save the patch once you have edited it using the CC's ?
I would just save with the session and then save via the official editor at a later time.
