    Finally, Korg apps

Just bought im1. Then the question is- cards or module?

  • By the way, PayPal has 15% off of iTunes cards (in the U.S. at least, not sure about anywhere else). It's only good until 11:59 past according to the email I got, so just under another 3 hours.

Yes, they weren't when I posted that, but I bought them both.

FLUX:FX play for iPhone on sale for $2.99 40%-off Black (& white) Friday special - through to Cyber Monday

    Damn it! Bought ;P

  • Voice Rack: FX for $1.99 US is a steal just for the Pitch Assist setting (nice and subtle, but effective). Plus there are 49 other presets you can tool around with (Stereo Spread and Double Low come to mind). It's become my default input app in AB for recording vocals.

  • iMPC Pro on sale for the very fist time.

Is anybody using LoopTree? Is it any use if I already have LoopyHD? It's €6,99 instead of €12,99 and I'm curious if there's any advantage to this one.

  • LF1 Monosynth is on sale (1/3 regular price).

  • I already own every app I want, this is all very anticlimactic.

  • Korg Gadget vs. Egoist? Anyone make a recommendation for someone who has neither?

Of course, Gadget! unless you are a slicer nerd. But, I am interesting in iElectribe iphone version for this Friday.

  • And Gadget's IAP gadgets at half price.

  • speaking of comparisons, iMS 20 vs Cyclop? Both are bass synths, both for sale at 14.99, which one to get if any?

They are 2 different beast! Cyclop is very nice on a sequencer or arpeggiator (KirnuCreamMobile) or use it on Auria Pro. You can make very very unique bass sound soon!

I am chicken shit to touch iMS20! You need time, man!

  • Going through the BF deals, it's kinda shocking to realise how many music apps I already own (and even more shocking how many I actually use). I guess it's time to stop this madness :)

  • Just picked up Audio Mastering for $6.99....

  • So, this time I'm gonna buy some desktop VSTs instead :))

BTW all Korg VSTs are also 50% off, so if anybody wants iM1 desktop version...

Cyclop has so much potential. Have you seen the Obscurium demo? You will have lots of fun with Cyclop. Give it some special effects and reverb, gate time. It should be amazing app.

anyone know if cyclop will work comfortably on a mini 1st gen with 8.3?

also, is there an option to drop the keys from the bottom of the screen to enlarge the rest of it? Being on a mini this may be a deal breaker.

I paid the full whack for Cyclop, but still think it's worth every penny - Sugar Bytes provide a lot of app for the money.

I love your stuff @monzo & I know that you use this monster. I may spread my musical wings in the new year to try & create new styles of punk for SOTMC entries. I'm starting my synth collection shortly & wondered whether Cyclop would be a good place to begin. Will it give me dirty, filthy & very unpleasant sounds via the presets. Cheers.

Thanks! Yes I think you'd enjoy this, it can produce very mean sounding growls and distortions.

Thank you. Yummy, yummier, yummiest. This one is going to rip my ear drums apart!

Thanks @monzo I've just downloaded it. What a beautiful beast this is. Just played with a few presets (as I haven't a clue where to start) & some of them have torn my intestines out, shattered my soul & smashed me over the skull with a JCB bucket. Brilliant, cos that's what I wanted it to do.Thanks again & a very happy birthday to Mrs Monzo.

  • Honestly, I was waiting for a huge sale for iElectribe for iPhone. Can't believe both iElectribe at the same price as Gadget.

Thanks - I'll pass it on :) yeah thought you'd enjoy this one, some very dirty and unique bass sounds, but good as a general synth too. Look forward to hearing your next SOTM!

  • Cyclop needs time also as ims20, isnt it?

  • Yes, but there is much more info about the first one out there.

  • edited November 2015

For Cyclop, you only need to understand basic synth knowledge.

As an appaholic, much as one likes a steam engine bargain, you realize that what is hankered for now is the new.
