  • oh yes! Always wanted TC-Data, but couldn't justify the purchase because I already have so many controller apps. For half the price the decision is easy now. Thanks for tip.

  • All right! Thanks for mentioning this.

  • Damn! This looks like a ton of fun with endless possibilities.

  • This is a pretty rare sale.

The beauty of TC-data is being able to drive any midi instrument.

The possibilities are endless. This is a great price. If you've been on the fence, now is the time to pull the trigger.

  • I have TC-11, what does this do that 11 doesn't? Is data strictly a controller, as where 11 is a synth. But, I can use it as a midi controller for my other synths?

    i'z confused.

  • If I hook my midi keyboard to my iPad Air with the camera connection kit can I use that to change pitch of the sound?

I'z even more confused 'use the TC-Data or your keyboard' to change pitch?

The keyboard, I find it hard to make key changes with tc-player. I have to go back to set up just to change every Time?

Do you use TC-Data to control CCs?

  • I don't have it yet. This is why I am asking.

  • Sweet, been holding off on this, hoping for a sale. Plus I just started exploring TC-11 more. Still have no idea what I'm doing with either one, but who knows maybe that's a good thing.

  • I found this video very helpful for ideas, I can not wait to try. I am thinking data controls apps and the keyboard set to the same channel should do so like this as well.

  • tc-data is an essential app for me. My primary use is as a composition tool and performance surface. fantastic synth controller too no doubt. Here is a little free form jazz homage to Ruth Underwood. ThumbJam Vibes, Im1 saxes, and DrumJam all played live in one take on TC-Data into MultiTrackDaw. probably not everyones cup of tea...

  • I am listening right now and half expect Frank to start saying something or singing. That is awesomely cool!

Wow, really good. I'm a big Zappa fan - bet Frank would have loved apps like this.

  • This will be my final purchase until Kirnucream for iOS comes out in December I believe. It should easily give me many ours of enjoyment and be extreme,y useful to liven up all sorts of projects.

some crazy stuff on that soundcloud page (good !!)

I think I could also find some use for this app if I manage to understand how to use it

Downloading now! Just like fluxfx this should open up countless possibilities for my app collection and especially combined with flux. Happy Black Friday indeed!

  • Thanks for the listen and kind words @monzo and @Tritonman. All the tracks on my soundcloud are tc-data generated. a couple more Zappa like takes (Ruth Is Touched, Free Form Igor).

Frank would have loved driving his Synclavier with ipad apps like TC-Data.

  • I hate this forum, bought ;-)

I hear Franks influence in your SOTMC contributions @monzo. big fan of your posts.

Not yet figured out how to control two apps and can not get it to work with alchemy yet but I saw this on YouTube with alchemy.

  • I use it with Alchemy quite often. Alchemy background audio on, try midi settings in Alchemy and see if TV-data is there and selected with a channel as a sanity check.
I typically drive multiple synths at one time on channel 1.

  • Does tc11 has midi out? I mean .. Should i buy both or tc11 only?

Thank you very much! I'm probably Lumpy Gravy era!

Looking into the TC data app, tempting...

    No midi out, TC11.

Buy one enough, what is your need? You must be sure you have the right time to learn. If you are just interesting in, buy none.

Started with Freak Out for me! Based on your SOTM posts, sounds like you have plenty of essential sound generators and I would love to hear how you drive them from TCData.

  • so I am liking TC Data with most synths... But I am having a problem with Synthmaster though where most presets in TC Data turn the volume to zero in Synthmaster.
