I find it works great for mixing loops to trigger while jamming. Just load in some cool loops. Play and mix them while recording into cool song section backing loops to play in launchpad or lp5

  • Yeah that would rock! Aufioshare as AU!!!!!! Great idea!
Reason I dont want to use external loop launcher is cause then I have to exit AUM to go to that app then I can play the onboard keyboard of AUM. Doing it all in one screen would rock to record drums in real time and still play chords. Hope it become possible someday. I really think AUM has truly raised the bar on excellence and productivity, music workflow and creativity. I love it!!!!!!

I have come to appreciate that AUM is not going to be my new go-to clip launcher (LP-5 works nicely) or live looper (Loopy still King). I now use AUM to produce loops, clips, etc and it makes everything sound better as a result. I agree with the comment that the file player UX is the clunkiest part of the process. Given that AS is the only place to get a file to play why include the extra step of loading the player and then loading a file? Why not just go straight to choosing the file? Some kind of auditioning feature would be icing on the cake.

Edit: wouldn't it be cool if audioshare could be open in AUM like an AU and allow for choosing different files to play in the player?

@lukasviallitevez , may be AU version of AudioShare would solve the problem.

  • I just took the plunge and bought isem as my first AU synth. When it's hosted in AUM, is it common for preset sounds to not change when pressed? All the parameters change, but the sound doesn't. This is only the AU interface when in AUM, I can task-switch to isem's normal UI and the preset sounds change as expected.

Still digging how well it fits my workflow, adding audio share auditioning with one tap would be most welcomed. Enjoy that time off Jonatan.

  • Just huge thanks... :D

  • "• Fix MIDI control of logarithmic AU plugin params."

I had noticed that issue yesterday while using my Novation Launchkey 25 to control Viking for the first time with the previous version. It's working so much better now. I haven't had much time to work with AUM since I bought it a few weeks ago. I got a lot to catch up on. But so far, I love it. I can't get this much control of my AUs in Cubasis or GarageBand. So AUM is king!

  • AUM is Magic! Finally all my groovebox apps are playing perfectly in time. Amazing. Is there a dedicated forum for it? I need some help using Genome with it but don't wanna clog up the AB forum if it's not the place for it :) thank you, and amazing work on AUM!

There's a facebook group for AUM which you might find helpful. Check a few pages back in this forum for the topic which contains the link.

  • Thanks man! Gonna head over there now :)

Thanks Jonatan, if you could make the list of files behave just like it doesbin Audioshare where the right arrow actually activates the loop, that would be awesome, cause if I have the option to have it loop continuously, it would really help with building the drum track in a real time sort of way. Cause I could have several premade loops for various parts of my song and trigger them straight from AUM file player all in real time and in sync to my project tempo. Can that be possible?

Actually that's not really possible with the FilePlayer as it works now. When you load a new file it stops playing the current file and prepares playing the new one, so there would be a gap of silence before the new file starts at the next sync quantum. Sounds like you're looking for a clip launcher. That might be a nice AU project to make some day in the future :)

In what way would that be different than the built in FilePlayer?

Good man. Enjoy them all (and the whiskey also).

  • @j_liljedahl I can't figure out how to sync iSEM's arpeggiator to AUM's clock when it is loaded as an AU. When iSEM is used stand alone it's tempo and clock sync settings are in the collapsible top bar, which isn't present when loaded as an AU.

Changing tempo in AUM does not affect iSEM's arpeggio tempo.

Any solutions? Is this an AUM issue or an iSEM?

I can't get it working either. I'll check with iSEM developer what's going on. Perhaps it simply doesn't listen on the host tempo?

  • Ask him about a special discount for all the suffering and agony users had to go through.... :# o:) :D

True, did have to suffer through me double posting this on two different threads...

The iSem AU tempo correction update still hasn't been released yet. Any word on when this might be here?

I asked, after opening a ticket because of Program change not recognized to change sounds into ALL their synths, how they would treat my issue...

    **Arturia support answer **

    Hi.

Each case that will treat about the same subject will be referenced under the same parent case.
The more complaints / FR we have, the higher will be the priority.

    Best Regards

    Lovely right ?

So, the "only" thing to do if you want an issue to be solved is to spam them with your issue.
I think we should organise something here in the forum, like if you have an issue, you post it here, you open a support ticket, then everybody that see this issue here, open's a ticket...
Each person that opens a ticket, post here a message like "done".
Like this we will know approximatively how many support ticket it takes untill they take our issues seriously...

This could be done also for Novation, witch has bad support, even if I admit it's better regarding pure marketing communication.

What do you think ? We can start with your issue @gburks if you want... :)
