. Not sure what you mean by needing to use a preset to save a recording?
First try restarting your device.
Then open AUM and load Elastic Drums
Test to see if it stops.
Add another app (just one).
Retest.
Try this with other apps until something goes wrong.
Always restart your device each test to get rid of ghost IAAs.
You have to save a session first ( really a preset with the app setup you're using ) , and this also creates a folder into which it saves your recordings . I've tried recording without using a session , but the recording isn't saved .
Recordings made without a 'preset' are stored in the AUM Recordings/Untitled folder. I am able to access all recordings made there. You shouldn't need to use a preset to access any recordings
Yes gsm909 is correct, no preset needed to record.
I have now managed to replicate another cutout.
I can only do it with AUM, ED and Patterning.
It only does it for myself when AUM is recording.
@carol
Have sent my findings to the developer
I wonder which drum app will be the first AU, will it be Elastic?
Thank you very much @Fruitbat1919!
Now I finally see, what the problem is. I get this stop in AUM too after 5 minutes with IAA sync. Runs fine with Ableton Link syncing, but of course it should work with IAA sync (thats the default sync method) too. Will work on a fix now
Phew - not just me then lol
^good job Fruitbat1919. I've always found sync in IAA to be a little sloppy. I tend to get much tighter results with Link, loading instruments into Audiobus, and setting AUM as the output slot. I have found that if Elastic Drums is running and Patterning is loaded into another AB slot, Elastic Drums will lock up. I then have to eject Elastic from the AB slot and reload it to get normal running.
Sorry to complain but I experience the same as gsm909.
I pad mini 2, I love patterning and elastic, great combo
Here's to the fixes
Great app all the same thou.
Peace love and beats
Sure ED will be sorted. In the mean time, if you are doing a set that relies on this combo, record your ED loops and trigger from AUM or Blocs Wave now it has Link
@Fruitbat1919
@carol
With some additional debug-help of my office colleagues from Studiomux I fixed this IAA bug of ED while recording in AUM. New beta test version is on it's way
Great stuff , thank you )
Okay, Elastic Drums update 1.7.5 is available for download already
Enjoy the improvements and as always give it a rating or a review. This really helps the app.
Cheers,
Oliver
A very big thanks for implementing record stems to AudioShare
Thanks. A great app gets even better.
Good effort Mister O.
Sorry to be pushy, but any thoughts about this idea?
@magnum38
Please make the clock and iaa working under Auria IAA instrument, let it driven by Auria Pro editor midi data. It failed always, I silence always.
Thank you,
Thanks
@carol - so the bug with recording inside AUM should be fixed now
Thanks for the new update. Currently can't seem to trigger ED from Modstep. thread here https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/13263/modstep-triggering-elastic-drums-help-not-working/p1
looks Midi Trigger is not working, I guess since 1.7.4, will work on a fix. Sorry about that. Looks I need even more beta testers to help me finding these things upfront, before releasing a new update. If you would like to join, send me an email to [email protected]
Cheers,
Oli
Which version of Auria do I have to buy for that?
I think a pure new purchase is Auria Pro version for $50 dollar to have midi instrument working! So better not buy upgrade version. The Engine is the same on upgraded version, which I am on!
I am deeply appreciated your endeavor! I never use ED drum for this reason only, because I believe Auria Pro plugin can fully benefit ED! Many of us do not quite like your sound generator! I understand why! Actually, if taking ED to AuriaP, every perspective changes for! That is why I always on the fence for hoping ED into the future. I know this is your baby, I so appreciated your loving to it.
Thank you so much.
Yeah been checking it out since seeing that thread. I've tried note trigger from many devices, but no go. Midi sync seems fine though.
Great , I'll test it later thanks !
Hi, I just tested Elastic Drums in Arturia Pro and it worked with no problems:
I opened Arturia Pro and added ED as InterApp-Audio Instrument, with the standard settings:
Ableton Link deactivated, Midi Clock in deactivated.
Do you use the most latest version of ED? Or different settings? Which iOS are you using?
Yes I use latest on all!
Ok, magnum,
Try this way, can you hear drum sound on piano roll? This is the general process on Auria for drum and synth midi playing, not by the grid data on ED!
I do not want the data inside ED, Because there is timing difference issue for recording, ED has no latency milisecond adjustment (both positive and negative). So the recorded data not aligned well. So, lets put the data on Auria, not ED itself! There are many benefit on this by using Auria midi data editor! 1. Better midi timing (if you have latency adjustment) and loop control! 2. Fabfilter plugins and PSP compression setup! 3. Rhythmic external side-chain (Pro G). I knew ED has many FXs and compressor, but I want my way to change the sound of ED engine to suit my need!
Try the way on these photos, ED is problematic on that! Maybe something Of my mistake because I do not know ED well!
