Soft Drummer available now, with Ableton Link and Live Pads

Good Morning gentlemen.

Soft drummer is available just now, with fresh new features I'm sure will be really useful.

  • Live Pads. Assign rhythms and jam intensity to the pads and change between them by pressing or midi notes. Also allows to create fills on the way, start, stop, intro, end, etc...
  • Ableton Link Sync.
  • Improved Jam Mode with more control about the components to create variations.
  • New user interface provides flexibility to assign two different modes on the iPad screen.
  • Effects On / Off buttons on main screen.
  • Midi controls for Select Song and Start / Stop.

Oh dear. I was worried you were going to say that....

It has audio bus and link, just been jamming it with Fugue Machine

  • Does this have MIDI Out ? Could I use it to drive Gladstone in Gadget ?

  • Sounds fantastic - i hope he builds in the enhancemenst to his other drummer apps too.

    I would love this too.

    Oh yes, please.

It does not. But my god it's the best virtual drummer app ever. The fact it has ableton link and the ability to trigger pattern changes via midi note makes this amazing when used with modstep driving gadget and soft drummer together. Hell. Had a blast with soft drummer on 1 iPad and Figure of all things (now that it has link it is actually useful)

  • has anybody requested midi out, has there been any response?

  • I would LOVE midi out.

  • and sample import, loop export

  • Wow. Sounds great. Congrats @LuisMartinez

  • @LuisMartinez
Can we please have midi out ? i love your app. can i please drive other drums with it ?
Ruismaker wants some rhythmic love too :(

It really is all that and a bag of crisps etc.

  • I prefer using Soft Drum Machine™.

    @LuisMartinez
Sounds really good, instant buy...Very happy with it.
    Just some remarks :
-you can't stop the pattern with Link...I tried using AUM, and also with Audiobus.
-on reload, it loose the midi channel you've selected, and also the midi inputs (maybe with state saving feature ?)
-by default the tempo is 80, and it overwrite the tempo of my track...Could it take the actual Link tempo by default ?

    Maybe a fix soon ? :)

    Good Morning gentlemen.

It must be nice to feel free/wealthy enough to be able to casually reduce your customer base by excluding entire demograaphics.

I guess my custom is of little interest to you. Oh well.

  • Good evening ladies @decibelle

  • More than two variations coexist on the multifaceted gender spectrum.

Inclusive speech is not only considerate, kind, friendly and a welcome relief from the sadly popular unpleasant alternatives, it's also a serious money earner.

I did look at the app on the Store but the excluding language sickened me enough to keep me off the videos. I prefer to absent myself from places/apps/demographics where I'm unwelcome.

"Forum Audiobussers" works fine for me.

  • How does it compare to Drum Perfect, sound-wise?

  • You really need to get over yourself. I'm sure he didn't mean disrespect. Just because you say a square is a circle doesn't make it so, so maybe you need to check your overly sensitive self @decibelle.

  • what the heck are you guys talking about, please let me know if it's not about sample import or loop export so I don't have to pay attention.

  • Another question: can it export MIDI files?

I can't really say one against the other, but I can tell you it sounds very good. But the main difference is that Luis's apps make it so easy to dial up a beat (which you edit as much or as little as you want) while Drum Perfect I find a bit of a struggle to get things set up and editing is much more long winded. Plus Luis's apps will produce beats that I just would not produce by myself.

Oh no ! You didn't say guys and girls and them who are no longer sure of which they are as well. You only used guys.

  • Luis, I love your apps. The only thing I wish they would do is allow different kits to be used in a song. That way, I could have hi-hat in a verse, and ride cymbal in a chorus. Maybe I'm missing something, and there is already a way to do this.

    Translation for above drivel.
"Look at me, look at me!"

  • Did we mention that we Love to use Luis's apps? The man does excellent work.
