@LuisMartinez while you pass into song mode, the BPM jumps to 88 BPM. No matter what says Link before...

@crony Entering the song mode loads directly the first or selected song, so the BPM is also setted, and if Link is established it will update Link BPM. A solution is disable Link before entering Song Mode and update the Song to the desired BPM before reconnecting Link
Just bought it yesterday and so far I'm finding it much easier to use than Drum perfect pro. I'd love to see this app expanded with the ability to load other drum & percussion samples, midi out, more style sets. I'll be buying the Afro Percussion volume very soon, great job.
Okay for a temporary workaround, but in a live situation it's far too tricky...
I wish it could listen to the Link bpm on any song loaded, and if there's no Link use the BPM of the song.

Hi Luis, I requested an Americana style app and here it is. With bells on. Now.... my next request (it's worth a shot) is really good cajon samples with maybe palmas, flamenco style?

Sorry but Soft drummer constantly crash used as IAA (with AUM) I can't load it anymore as soon as there's different apps used with AUM.
It's in fact worse than that, as it is crashing all IAA apps...I have to reboot the iPad.
Also I noticed it constantly send the clock as soon as it is launched (seems normal as it must be in sync...) but it's far more active than any other apps of this kind.
I failed to use it with midi, the start/stop (with G2 note) is not responding.
It works for all the other apps I'm using (Patterning, Elastic Drums, Sector, and even a hardware step sequencer)
If you add the problem with Link that set the tempo to 88 no matter what other Links app are doing, it makes this app unusable at the moment live...
Seems that it needs a bit of polishing as it's a great app, with a great sound and swing

increase your buffer size (number of samples in settings of AUM.)
also. song mode sends that bpm. just delete the song.

But in fact I'm already at 256, and even if it could work (I'll try...) I can't use it live anyway...and if midi doesn't work...
And it's not only in song mode, sometimes, it also does that in pattern mode...
An other problem is that there's no forum, no mail, no way to contact the dev...As it is a relatively expensive app and as I already report @LuisMartinez here for the song/link issue, and there was no fix (2 months ago) and an quite evasive answer, I start to doubt the serious of the app.
That said, it sounds indeed very good at first listen...
Finally the way it crashed IAA (Audiobus not even used) is just a too big problem.
Hi @crony . Sorry for the inconvenience. Really, the error is not the crash in IAA, the error is that Soft Drummer appears to connect to Inter-App, it shouldn't, my fault. I decided not to provide Inter-App support cause it is ongoing source of problems, audiobus and ableton link work infinitely better. If you realize, in the App Store description of Soft Drummer doesn't say nothing about Inter-App. But I see is important for you to get IAA, even if it doesn't works perfect. (do you know any app syncing perfect with it???).
I'll tell you the plan. I'm updating one of the other apps, it's almost ready, i think I will upload today. Soft Drummer will be updated after updating the others and I'll include IAA support. Meanwhile, try to use audiobus and ableton link.
About the contact..... In the app you have direct links to Facebook, twitter, Google +, Web Site... If you want, you can. Ah... The app was released 28th July ... less than 1 month ago

About the contact, I must missing something, but as IAA is buggy, I don't use Facebook nor Google+. I really looked everywhere AMHO, I also understand that you don't want to be bugged with users, a form somewhere accessible should be great, for me, at least
Anyway as long as we can discuss here, I've got my perfect workaround.

It's still buggy on many points (including me) but I can tell you that all beats are managed thru IAA into AUM.
I even add a step sequencer (beatstep) clock controlled by Modstep.
Appart from artefacts, and some midi stucked notes, the beat sounds regular to me.
About midi start/stop into Soft Drummer, I tried on channel 10 (by default) and 1, unfortunately, it doesn't work.
I'll wait for the update and hope I might use your great app live

Hi Luis, that's fine, Soft Drummer does a good job in that department already. What about a really good Cajon, palmas, maybe Arabic instruments etc? Add a few flamenco rhythms? I see you have a couple of Bulerias in SD already. Some Tangos, Fandangos..? One can hope.
@luis. Could you please add link and midi pattern triggering to your other apps ? Would definitely see myself buying more if they got these features added.

@LuisMartinez ok, I've managed to use Audiobus to redirect to AUM, and it indeed work. I've got just this app running in AB at the moment, and I have some "slows" in the tempo while switching apps. Not all the time, but much more than before.
On the other hand, I really can't control anything thru midi...Does anyone else has this problem ? I'm using G2 on channel 1 (or 10) and it never starts or stop.
Thru AB, and remote, it doesn't start/stop either.

Ah ! It seems it react at note on/off G1 (31) ! But it stops just for one bar, then it start again...

Yes, the note is just 31 .It seems that there is no absolute definition about the octave correspondence, it's and arbitrary assignment. Some reference sites take different Number Notes depending on the middle's C Note (C5, C4 or C3)

We'll look for the "more standard" octave for the next update, maybe C4 as middle note. At the moment midi notes to control Soft Drummer start at 24 (Fill)
About the start / stop with 31 ... Probably is an issue with your config / midi device, maybe it's sending double midi notes.
