I thought this whole offensive thing was about the lack of audio export
A few things to keep in mind:
1. This is the internet, and a forum, where most people use an alias and present few personal details, and most of us on here don't know each other personally.
2. This is a very inclusive forum that generally treats each other with respect. When someone is out of line, it gets handled quickly and an agreement is usually reached.
3. Music is a great equalizer - if you make music better and are good to be around (not a diva - that term most definitely not exclusive to females either!) then no one generally cares about anything else. In fact, it's one area in life where every personality type fits in somewhere, even if it's a misfit fitting in with all of the other misfits. I saw Temple Grandin speak a few months ago and she had a great quote- "People will tolerate any amount of quirkiness from a person that is making or saving them money." I'll extend that to someone who is adding to the music. Difference and contrast makes life better.
4. I don't think there was an intentional intolerance expressed, but the point is valid that we shouldn't assume all users are male or even sure of gender. However, sometimes one gender is used in writing to mean all, and is not always male. Authors often clarify this at the start of a work so that the writing can remain streamlined.
5. For anyone who has been a subject of intolerance, prejudice, or exclusion that's a terrible thing that often makes the person extra sensitive to expressions that even hint at the same, but also know that this is not a place that is intolerant of any user and everyone is safe here. Everyone.
If you have an interest in ios music (or even if you don't) this is a good place to be. The conversation here makes the tools better.
Buy that man/woman a beverage.
I've heard that assertion many times, mostly from included group members who were wrong.
Anybody considering this forum inclusive and safe even after reading this thread, indicates that my own understandings of those terms and @mrufino1 's are fundamentally different.
My statement was a general statement about the board in general, not just directed to you, please don't take it as such.
However, If Luis' statement had read the way you envision, rather than "gentlemen" what would it have read? If there are people on the board not understanding your point, please help us to understand.
And I mean what I said, all are welcome here. I myself have trouble fitting in to a lot of situations in life, I've never been part of any "in crowd," yet that hasn't happened here. In fact, I might guess that my story may be quite similar to that of others here, or it may be entirely different. That hasn't affected any discussion about gadget, etc.
Rather than continuing to feel hurt by what you feel was exclusive. It sounds like you may have been the recipient of discrimination and if so, I'm sorry that has been your experienc, but that can change. Please help to bridge the gap and make the board that much better, I don't think any disrespect was meant in the beginning but we can all learn from each other so if it was, share with us so that all can become more aware. That is how tolerance and inclusion move forward and lead to change.
Again, I mean that and look forward to future posts by you about ios music, which is the focus of the board.
My second post concluded with your answer:

Ok, thank you.
Any thoughts on soft drummer? I think it looks fantastic. I haven't purchased yet, but I do have rock drum machine and funk drum machine and both are excellent.
I don't know, I try to divert my financial support away from apps coded and supported by sexists.
Ok.
As a purchaser, buyer, and owner of funk drummer, brazil drums, afro latin drums, and about to get this new one in about an hour I definitely have some thoughts.....
where's the loop export, and the sample import hmmmm?
You can't get much 'safer' then posting anonymously to a Internet forum. I'm so glad I'm raising my daughter to shun this victim mentality in favor of a real life, full of ups, and down, success, and failure with no one to blame but herself if her life sucks. You can get one too @decibelle they are free, but you will be forced to leave your victim status at the door in order to fully enjoy it. And lastly, I don't remember ever being told that life is safe, tell that to the poor little babies being sacrificed in abortion mills when their only crime was wanting to love their mothers (too real for you, that's real life?). If this gets my profile deleted, so be it, I'm really sick of professional whiners.
well according to you those babies shouldn't be blaming anybody.....you can't have it both ways either victims exist or they don't along with oppressors. Either they are real or they are not...... anyways audio export is a real problem with real victims and we welcome your support.
Po.
I taught Martial Arts for over 20 years. I always used the term guys when referring to my class. When women men and children were in class. Not once was there ever a problem. No disrespect ever meant by me, and no one felt offended. We got a lot done. Kicked a lot of Ass.
I can't imagine the shit I'd get into if I did that now.
Funk Drummer never appealed to me, but this one looks very very nice. Prob. useful for Country and Worship music I would think..
@LuisMartinez
Have you evaluated the possibility of having one of your drum machines in AU format? For example the integrated drummer in GarageBand works well, Even though it's not an AU it enjoys similar benefits. It would be great to have a higher quality version of that integrated concept that can run in Cubasis
Although funk drumming can be quite appropriate in worship as well. But this app looks nice for many many reasons. Loop export is not something id use so if it's missing i wouldn't miss it. I can see why others would though.
... that you noticed at the time, and/or may have dismissed as unimportant when told.
... that you knew about, and/or may have dismissed as unimportant when told.
Right, because of our improved updated understanding of how exclusionary language can harm.
I speak up now when I encounter exclusionary word choices because I view inclusivity as a benefit.
I don't understand why so many have posted strong disagreement with this.
Is Soft Drummer a generative drum machine akin to Garageband's Drummer? The mentions about "Jam" caught my attention...
Does it have the ability of writing MIDI into Auria? Drum Perfect Pro apparently cannot, so this would be a huge plus...
Perhaps it's because you've labeled a man that you've never met as a "sexist" based on one internet forum posting, one in which he has already extended a personal apology? Perhaps that's why people have a disagreement with your posts?
Does this series of apps go on sale every now and then? I'd like to get all of them when they do!
@decibelle. We get it. You feel offended and you won't buy this app as a result. Fine. Why are you still hanging around this thread ? It's like you're loving the attention.... Please let those that actually want to discuss the app do so. Why not start another seperate thread to discuss gender politics if that is your wish ?
In other words you're entirely selfish and hypocritical. If you were offended by the first post, the problem VERY CLEARLY lies with YOU. You're fighting an imaginary battle. How about you step on up to reality with the rest of us?
If a person commits sexist acts, I don't know what else to call them. Accidental sexist? Unintended sexist? Whatever way it's viewed, it's still sexism.
Who else commits sexism? Non-sexists?
And what you call an "apology" covers only one of the countless others in the excluded group. What about apologies for the rest?
Your "apology" also strikingly resembled what I'd call "asking me out on a date".
One of these things is unlike the other.
I can understand why bringing unfavourable behaviours to a person's attention could lead them to use disagreement to justify themselves. But attempting to justify sexism, is also, y'know, sexist.
The more I read the lady the more I conclude this is all about trolling and trying to remain in the spotlight.
I could make a bet ( and strongly believe I would win) which of us has been more excluded, opressed or marginized in life ( feel free to contact me in a private message, maybe talking about it helps you). At the end, of course, the option I chose was to move forward and live a real life without hunting ghosts in every corner.
Po.
So, anybody find a manual for this app yet?
I don't think there is one for the drum app series. Musicappblog has a good write up on the other ones. It'd be cool if there was a bundle for these![;) ;)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/wink.png)

Greetings Sensei, from a former karate student. Your post shows precisely why PC nonsense should always be resisted. It diminishes us all, whenever anyone is allowed to get away with persecuting someone over nothing.
No disrespect was intended, and the developer has made this clear in a very polite and friendly way. Yet still @decibelle continue to hijack the thread like a professional victim. We all face genuine prejudice in our lives, and that too should be fought. But tilting at windmills is farcial.
