Thanks !
absolutely!
I've just bought the app.
I thought that if I send a bank/prog change message (so cc0, cc32, and prog change togheter) from set list maker to soft drummer it changes bank, rytmh and sound, but it doesn't work.
if you send only one message at a time (example: only cc0) it changes the value, but it isn't handy, generally you send this 3 message togheter.
This could be an issue in how the developer handles the midi messages. CoreMidi sends multiple "simultaneous" messages together in a single midi packet, and if he isn't reading the whole packet, they will be missed. Or, it could be it just doesn't support bank select?
It is writen:
Midi Note G2: Play / Stop
Midi Program Change: SoundSet
Midi CC 0: Bank
Midi CC 7: Master Volume
Midi CC 11: Swing
Midi CC 32: Rhythm
Midi CC 91: Reverb Gain
— Live Pad Midi Controls:
C3 to G3 : Select Pad
C2: Fill
D2: Fill for the next Pad change
E2: Fill for every Pad change
A2: Fill & Start / End.
– Song Mode Controls:
Midi Note A2: Preview Song
Midi Note D2: Next Song
But I imagined that Cc 01 and cc 32 stand for classic bank change, but i was wrong. Strange behavior in any case..
An other question , I want to use it live for drum backing while I play keyboard. I use set list maker for chords and to change sound and preset of soft drummer, but I have problem with midi clock sync, if I send clock from set list in soft drummer the clock isn't precise and it isn't really fixed. Is it normal? Do you have problem with clock sync? Or is a problem of set list?
And an other thing: I want to use G2 (start/stop) to start a song and A2 (fill + start/stop) to end the song. When thebapp is non foreground it's always OK, but when it's in background (because I want to use set list maker in foreground) the fill + stop cut drastically the last beat and it doesn't sound good. With the same parameter and button when it's in foreground it's different than when it's in background.
@LuisMartinez
Anyway very very good sounding app, a bit complicated to use live and control only throught midi, but the only thing that's my trouble now is the fill+end.
I think that if we could recall the "live pad set" that we save, also only with program change (in the order they are saved)it could be really better. With only one program change so you could recall automatically the 8 bank/rhythm/sound that you want, that you can use for the parts of the song you are playing. But when you load it, if press play it has to play the automatically the first pad (now it isn't so). And then with live set pad it could be saved also a BPM value.
So it could be simpler.if you want to play a song and control the app only through midi you have only to send a program change and then map your keyboard/pedal to send note g2, a2 erc to start/stop/fill and c3 etc for all the parts of the song, and the BPM is alrready OK without syncing clock. Easier!
Now instead, for a single song, you have to send 3 value: a singular value of cc0, a singular value of cc32, a singolar value of program change, then syncing the BPM, that it's not always easy. then if you want to change preset in the chorus you have to send another value of cc0 in the middle of a song (also this isn't easy).
I hope I have been understood.
Thanks
Playing around with Soft Drummer a bit tonight, love the sound and the grooves, but am not finding any way to export audio. If I wanted to record a pattern or song into Auria Pro, is AudioBus my best/only option?
You can just host it directly inside auria and record. Pretty sure it shows up as an Iaa insert.
I highly recommend LooperVerse it works perfectly with Soft Drummer and the loops sound amazing!
Thanks @gonekrazy3000 and @MusicMan4Christ. Strange, SoftDrummer wasn't available as an IAA insert in Auria Pro but I did a "hard" close and re-open of AP and there it is. Excellent. I've heard of LooperVerse but don't know a thing about it, so I'll check it out. Thanks again!
@Joel75 Auria makes a good sync and Soft Drummer should appear as Inter-App normally
