But we all like to toot our decisions to the world - it makes us feel smarter. B)

Grabbing Beathawk is a decision worth tooting about

It's a wonderful looking tool, I have to say. It's such a completely different flow from what I have always done. I do believe I'll spend some quality time there.

Doesn’t the fab pluging include in auria pro?? Or it’s IAP??

  • Yeah, but how does one sync Auria Pro with apps like Blocs Wave?

IAP, except the synths, FabFilter One and Twin are part of the base app. The other plugins are IAPs.

I don't know about FF not changing. It would make huge sense for them to become standalone AU apps, because you'd have to bet that a large number of the folks who don't like Auria, but have been listening to the raves about FF, would scoop them up.

I do like Auria Pro, just not the celebrated bugs. ;)

When I spoke to someone at FF, several months ago, he said there was no interest in making FF available for other IOS DAWs. Hopefully, the AU route has caught their attention.

One issue would be what deal could be done for those of us who have bought FF for use in Auria Pro. I wouldn’t mind a few quid, but paying full price again to use on the same machine isn’t something I’d be keen to do.

  • If it's 25 bucks just buy it for mixdown or recording. Worth 70 just for that

    Ableton Link?

  • No DAW other than BM3 and Ableton Live itself supports Link. In a linear-style DAW, I really doubt it will ever be.

  • Man I was alll pumped to finally buy auria on sale but of corse this is old thread haha

At the sale price, AP is a great buy. Yes, there are faults with it, but it still provides some really good features, still has the best in-app audio editing of any DAW (and for more you can always send to Twisted Wave) plus the unique feature of Fab Filter compatibility. Once you have used those, you won’t want to master using anything else.

It has WIST :) if that helps you in 2017.
But at least you can sync with the iMS-20

I bought it full price. It’s really worth it. Perhaps the only app in AppStore that is...
It does everything you want, sans cook dinner, but you can even take it to bed

The way that the Apple Store works, i doubt they could do a thing. There is no mechanism to apply the purchase of an in-app purchase from one app to another app. And they would definitely be a whole new app.

But there would be nothing to stop FF issuing promo codes to those who had already bought the product on IOS.

There’s a limit to the number of promocodes you can generate. Around launch time it’s easy to send out half of those to press and reviewers, so there wouldn’t be nearly enough codes for ‘discount purposes’ (not to mention that is against the rules you agree to just before clicking the ‘generate’ button) ;)

Oh dear, then another way would need to be found. ‘Cause much as I love FF, I wouldn’t pay full price twice for use on the same machine.
