  • This made me go back to see what other Arp apps I have and I've been struggling to get anything going in Cream mobile. Is that one full of bugs or is it just too complex to get my head around? Is anybody using that one successfully? I don't want to waste my time learning it if it's known to be buggy...

No bugs really, unless you consider the lack of Link support a bug at this point. It is, however... how do you say? Challenging. Google one of the appropriate threads for more info.

It's Hungarian. A brilliant language that's too complex for many of us.

Okay, I'll give it some more time and see if it clicks. LINK would definitely be very useful!

Right, that must be the problem...

  • Should anyone tell me how well it performs on iPad4?

    Thanks at advance.

It runs fine so far on my iPad 4.

  • Thanks @studioAB. Weekend is coming... :)

  • The specs indicate that midi bank/program select is activated. I haven't found the right combination yet for getting bank to change. If I set the instrument/preset inside the app to "Leads: 01 DrivingNuts", and send EITHER [MSB-1 LSB-0 PC-5] or [MSB-0 LSB-1 PC-5] (not sure which controller they're using for bank, so I tried both), one of them should change the instrument/preset to "Bass: 06 TalkingWheel". At least that's my theory. But all that ever changes is the program, not the bank. Anyone else played with this yet? I'm hoping it's just a bug that will be fixed in the next pass. I know the app is receiving the midi signals, because the program is changing.

  • Hi all, not only weekend...
    Link is coming too :)

  • @motmeister just tried this myself. It really doesn't work, have to check what happened to this, sorry.

  • Link is now out!!!..... :)

  • Downloading and ready to go. This is excellent.

  • Great, thank you @VirSyn, Link with Pro is so cool!

  • @VirSyn

Thanks for the Terasynth update too :)

  • @VirSyn Not running aswell on a ipad 3 since the link update. Lots of crackling on some of the presets even with 2 voices selected.

  • @Virsyn that Link update has been cool. You did what you said you would do and that really honours you! The pressure is now on AU!

  • I LOVE THIS SYNTH!
    Thanks for amazing update!

@sirdavidabraham the first version of Addictive Pro will have Audiobus and IAA. Then comes AU and Ableton Link.
Promised. With our Mac OS X plugins we have Audiounits for quite a long time.

    Harry

I already have Tera Synth, Addictive synth, AudioReverb and Isyn Poly, ( not too mention a LOT of other IOS synths ) and pretty much have more than enough sounds than Ill ever get to use, but if this gets AU support, I'm in!!!!!!!! please make that happen, I think when developers add AU support to their music apps , thats whats going to really change the game.

  • :) yes! This sounds truly awsome. Give cube synth the pro treatment please

  • Thank you. New gushing review added on the app store.

  • geat. just now seeing this thread today and now something else for me to purchase that i don't need but i like these apps so im a sucker... :( :*

    heads to app store now

  • So easy to lose a few hours with this one...
get the four arps rolling and tweak til the cows come home..
    very nice for soundscaping..

must admit I am a bit mystified as to why it is not an update or upgrade to/from Addictive synth.
i get it economically,,,but it never hurts to stay sweet with loyal customers..eg as Yonac did with the Tonestack v2 upgrade....imho...

If I didn't already have Addictive Synth, I'd get this. I've seen videos, and the sounds I'm interested in, I know I can make. Yes, the original Addictive Synth is very good! Maybe I haven't seen demos that fully explore the Pro version to get me excited. The one thing that does is the Arpeggiator. That sucker looks nice. Not quite tempting enough to buy a new version, but enough for me to hope that it becomes available as an IAP for the original.

This beast is so refined it had to be a new purchase. It is truly so worth it!

  • Yep. It looks and sounds like a brand new app.

  • If Virsyn keep putting this much into a Addictive to Addictive Pro type upgrade for their synths, by all means they should charge extra. It's not like they are asking the earth

By "Hungarian" I think you mean "Finnish" (in the case of Cream). I know it doesn't actually make things any simpler, but still, for the sake of correctness etc...:)
Unless, of course, Arto Vaarala (the dev, with a VERY Finnish name) has moved to Hungary. :)

I haven't encountered anything that is language specific in Cream though, and I think it works as intended. I fully agree with "challenging" as a description though.

Totally agree here and I think/feel it was a 'business decision' to release Additive Pro as a new app instead of a 'free' update to Addictive Synth with all the new goodies baked in.

Since @virsyn is pretty active here in the forums I know they have a pretty good picture of what we all want and If I could dream I would love to see a new 'Virsyn Groovebox' based on a souped version of iSyn Poly with sampling :)

Yes agree. I know they probably have lots of ideas being kicked around, but @Samu has a good idea here @VirSyn. Worth a thought.

I have a fondness for Virsyn. My first ever piece of music making software was made by Virsyn.
