Glad someone noticed that
def changed,i think it was less than the launchpad pro a month ago and now it's more
thanks Bill and Crabman
the circuit firmware can't be updated via mac?
That sounds pretty outlandish. Where are you reading that?
Sure it can! You just need to use Chrome, works fine.
No someone was talking about safari, as Tarekith said just needs chrome,
yes I know.....you can but only for those that are the same cc numbers as the macro knobs.
I need to keep my posts more precise so I don't confuse what I'm trying to say lol
ok, but you have to use the macro knobs in that case right?
No, as long as the external synth sends the same cc number as a macro knob it will record.
This means you could use something like MIDI Bridge to translate your external synth cc's to and from the 8 that are used by the macro knobs to enable you to tweak on the external synth for ANY cc that it uses.
Gracias, finally understood
Woot woot
Circuit isn't perfect, but it really is a great machine.
If they implement panning in their next update I'll keep it, it's a good getway from the ipad
I have found it free's me to feel and listen to what I am doing rather than looking at and over analysing it.
I wish the nudge function was recordable, that would be fantastic for juggling beats
If you haven't used all 8 bars for your pattern, you can save different versions with the beats nudged, alternatively you could do it with multiple sessions.
nice tip, and record would be nice on instant patt switching too., I know they want to squeeze every little bit they can get out of this box, the challenges have produced some interesting features.
Agreed, it excels at that for sure. I'm always baffled when people say they want a display or dedicated synth parameter knobs on it, seems to miss the entire point of what makes it unique.
there's some things they could do via firmware to really blow it out, like this little live chord work around feature, is it possible to record that?
also is it possible to overwrite the default sessions?
So it's gone up like a hundred dollars? I can't find a price history on it. Anyone know where to get that info? Curious
I've been thinking of getting one but want to know how much pain I should feel buying high.
you could probably call sweet water and tell them you saw the price change on their site and ask them when it happened etc..., that's where I saw the change, and some other folks mentioned it happening in the uk as well... the people at sweet water love to talk so they'd probably tell you
this little box is something else...
I guess everybody's different, I'm enjoying the happy surprises but at the same time I can see that after mastering this machine I would want to be able to just move quickly and get right what I'm after.
question, is it not possible to flip the synth sounds like you can flip the samples?
Updating is not possible (anymore)on my dated Macbook with Mountain lion,no matter if i use chrome or opera (which also implemented web midi). But it works on newer OS of course.Although I still can use both browser to backup and change samples etc.
No you can't flip the synths I'm afraid.
, like this little live chord work around feature, is it possible to record that?
Not sure on that one, the recording will overwrite your chord setup, i think I used the live chords, recorded into modstep, then played it back and recorded in circuit.....
Yes you can overwrite the preset sessions.
Not within a session, but once again, you can use multiple sessions plus instant switching for this.
I am using it conjunction with modstep and or gadget, as well as blocs wave and or launchpad, I find I can pretty much do everything I want with those combinations.
If you ignore the circuit sequencer and use modstep it becomes a different beast again, longer patterns by using modstep clips, you can use program change for synth switching but not sample switching, . It is not only a great little box it is also schizophrenic
I don't like the linking of the drum parts, is there a way to unlink them?
