It's just so simple and gives me the full range of pad sounds that I need. The grain setting is a very nice touch as well. Plus triggering certain notes or certain velocities sometimes creates unexpected effects or textures. The filter sweep and resonance sounds a million times better than my Minilogue (which has been relegated primarily to MIDI controller).
That's really all I can say to explain it. I will add the ARP Odyssey to my favs over this one though. But top 5 isn't bad at all. I can tell already that I'll use it a lot for simple tracks that I don't wanna tweak too long on.
Any information about the number of WaveTables it has?
@knewspeak Looks like 12 wavetables, with option to morph between 2. I didn't see any info on loading your own.
Thanks for the explanation @oat_phipps
I'm afraid I need to see more interaction with it.
A thousand times so.
Thanks, what I was thinking from the UI, now just need a few more audio samples, the promo is just too little to make me insta-buy, but I do like the minimalist approach.
Strange goings on App Store wise. I tried to leave a preliminary first impressions review, and never got past 'Try Again.' Oh well, maybe tomorrow.
Loving the look, feel and sounds so far, but would like more connectivity so I can run this via Fugue Machine. It will only load as an instrument.
Muchly that, no Fugue Machine

No midi ??? But why
I had 'try again' when trying to view Takete. The App Store has been pants for a while now.
Hopefully a little connectivity will be added in the first update.
Have you tried it in AUM?
>
Ah, of course. FX slaps head. Thanks AudioGus.
Seems to work just fine in aum. Sounds great. Nice interface.![;) ;)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/wink.png)
Would still like to see midi & AB included if plausible.
Imho all apps should include AB, out of respect for the originators, if nothing else
Bought it, sounds OK, but I find that getting at the presets is really, really annoying. No way to easily advance through them, and the tiny up/down arrows within the preset dropdown list are almost useless. It's way too easy to end up with one you didn't mean to choose and then, of course, the bloody list closes and you have to start over again. Frustrating! (And I'm running on the Fat Bastard, so lots of screen real estate.)![:/ :/](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/confused.png)
Don´t make the same mistake like me and even open the standalone version, you gonna think the UI is an April fools prank. It´s great inside Cubasis.
It has some resemblance to the "Helsinki" Gadget from Korg, but due to the wavetable architecture it offers a much more versatile sound. It is super easy to use, and offers quick access to shape your sound. The velocity modulators work well and offer surprisingly expressive play. No Modwheel support is a little weird though.
Dry it sounds kinda flat, i absolutely recommend the Tape Delay from the Cubasis FX Pack, then it comes to life and sounds absolutely awesome. @vpich i think you´d like it!
Can´t seem to save or access patches via cubasis, the whole patch interface seems to not work. Hope gets fixed soon, since i´m already hooked on the sound.
Loving it so far, just have to use more of a drag/slide gesture to use the preset selector efficiently. Nice sounds combined with Ruismaker Drums, Poison 202 sub bass, Tines with Virsyn Flanger.
AU heaven has arrived
The 12 Wavetables even if played dry have a great vintage, resonant sound to them, combined with the Grain/Noise engine and the subtle pitch modulation just what i love!
What i´m curious about is this Poison synth everyone keeps talking about, i checked it out and seems to get promoted heavily in the "Hands up" Trance/Techno area, is it a generally great virtual analogue emulation or why is it so popular?

It's AUv3 and sounds amazing!(at least to my ears).

Here's a demo straight from the developer...
If I could make a wish I would love to have it as a 'Gadget' in Gadget too![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Give it a spin. If you don't like it there is always a way to request a refund.
@samu Haha that Demo is all kinds of awesome. It´s not really my musical taste, but it seems to be versatile, powerful and most of all merciful on the CPU...
Horses for courses. First thing I thought of was how much I dig the interface.
I wasn´t convinced at first either, but the longer i play with it the more i dig the GUI. The whole App is optimized for the AUv3 workflow, and it just fits nicely. Has someone figured out how to save patches in Cubasis?
I'm a sucker for pad sounds. But was hoping for more of the lush deep kind.from the presets I'm not getting that kind of sound. Is it possible with this?
Absolutely, for classic "lush" analogue saw pads try wavetable B and morph it slightly with what you prefer. It doesn´t sound complete without effects, it´s built for AU only, so you need to chain a lush reverb behind it to get real pads going. I absolutely love the combination with the Tape Echo in Cubasis!
Nice. I'm gunna give that ago. Hav cubasis also but haven't tried with fx yet. AUFX space mite work. Thanks for the tip mate
Have fun mate, i´m a sucker for pads too, and i´m excited about it. The 12 Wavetables sound great out of the box, some are already heavily processed, filtered with resonance. It´s so hands on, you don´t even need presets, or a manual or anything. It doesn´t have deep sounddesign capability, it´s a little gadget for Pads and it´s absolutely worth 5 bucks.
If you want a Pad Monster on iOS, you have to get the iWavestation, it will make your head spin.
Can't wait for the next version: Maxi Pads.
Awful jokes aside, anyone wanna upload some sound examples?
@gav haha yea it´s crazy lately. One great app after another. The iWavestation is absolutely nuts, because it´s a full 100% recreation of the original hardware with a much better interface, and resonant filters. It´s the best version of the Wavestation that ever existed, hardware or software, so i think of the price in that context. It also has all sorts of waveforms, from fat analogue saw/pulse waves to the sampled airy/breathy/ flute type sounds, that you can morph or sequence together, to get ever evolving pads. Comes with really nice effects too, vintage but still usable.
The best pad machine on iOS, the Klevgrand is nice, quick and hands on, but can´t be compared to the iWavestation.
Gone and downloaded it. Korg owes you one. But my girlfriend probably hates you lol.
