Since it only mentions Mac, I am going to stubbornly and against all sense of logic, believer that the iOS update will come sooner.

I hope they will make it available thru the Mac AppStore as I have no desire to hand over my credit card info to yet another company.

Then again I have to ask myself if the iOS and macOS Gadgets are 'in sync' when it comes to features my old 1,3Ghz MacBook Air might even be slower than my Air 2 for 'Gadget' and it doesn't even have a 'touch-screen'.

Well, hate to admit it, but I am a form of one of those marketing people :)

sorry JG... probably there is good marketing lads n lasses, those are the ones quietly going about their business and you don't notice ...and then there is the WTF! ones I've forehead palm slapped myself about from time to time.. and it always seems to be at the very end of a long chain of creative decisions that haven't even been understood by them and have to be unpicked for completely tunnel vision subjective reasons.
this current nom de plume allows me to suggest Walker Books might have some doozys!
american online betting agencies have yealded some bizarre tautological hypocrisies also.
.. but , you know.... I need the money.. so go with it gently is the only tactic i can afford.

  • I'm wodering if we can route other 'Gadgets' thru the Rosario Gadget? Would be nice to drive Dublin or Phoenix thru some amps and cabs :D

  • I wonder when the iOS version allows a proper patch sharing/management. It's terrible now....i-tunes? Nah'.
This will be better on a mac for sure.
I feel not motivated to create patches mostly if you can't share or export them easy.
They also could learn from Moog how to implement proper midi control/learn etc.

I was wondering the same thing. I love me some tasty guitar lines, but I'm a keys player. Maybe it'll even have an IAA option?

And that begs a bigger question, will the audio recorder gadget allow IAA and not just line in?

PS. Can't believe how stupid that touch bar thing is :D

i love Adam's idea of all the middle management being tricked onto a seperate spaceship and sent off elsewhere... we could probably save the NHS using that tactic!
anyways.... back to the Korg cyber stalking....

  • I'm never going to own this thing but I do love a good Gadget speculation thread

  • Anything yet?

    Anything yet?

  • So many people speaking about it, so few people actually shown using it!

    How so?

  • edited January 2017

I actually tryed the touch bar and i thought in the beginning it's crap but it can be very useful combined with a big screen, short-cuts and precise editing via mouse/trackpad input.
Multi-touch is a great form of input but also lacks here and there and even can get annoying sometimes, especially if it is the only input.
    As usual....personal preference too!

As I speculated earlier, I don't think it's ready for using yet, that's why nobody really show us in action...

I still think this will be a late March release... Pity though, especially when there seems to be such a hype...

  • All these 'pre-announcements' build up hype and expectations but if the delivery is too far away (1-3 months or more) the interest drastically cools down.

I already have the iOS Gadget but since the macOS version is not available within few weeks I might even forget to buy it once it finally arrives...

  • I couldn't care less for the MacOS version but the new features are interesting... on korg's website it mentions a v.3 for gadget iOS but it's not clear if all the new features are coming to the iOS version. Probably all of them but who knows?.

With Rosario being included (guitar effect processor) I think I should give up all hope of a guitar gadget (like Madrid) which sucks for me, I'm an excellent pianist/ keyboardist but a mediocre guitarist, well... Back to waiting for sugarbytes to port guitarist to iOS or something...

  • I'll be happy if you can play another guitar app like Guitarism or GeoShred, and record the results into the audio gadget, while playing the rest of the track. I really hope this is included, but we will see.

    lol @OscarSouth

First I was like :) then I was like :(
    GarbageBand update...

  • Audio, audio, audio.

What can be done with audio?

Please, someone at NAMM... throw me a bone :)

  • Has anyone noticed the Alihoopa logo?
I can see it in Synth Anatomy's NAMM video

  • @OscarSouth said:

I'm just here to say this made me laugh hysterically.

  • My main hopes other than the audio tracks are for advances in the sequencer arrangement. I want them to make it more like Live with independent triggerable clips as Modstep does. With out this it's currently too linear for me.
