So.....wonder how they chose which patches from the original would be included....? Hoping my favorite Actopia (which I no longer have stand alone) made the cut...
EDIT: Hmmm....looks (at first glance/listen) that 'Dusty Record Synth' is about as close as it gets.....I wonder if there will be IAPs in the future? For all of that, there's a shedload here for folks to work with. Doesn't change the fact that in the end the songs still have to get written, BUT yet more kids in more bedrooms will be writing I'd guess...(some older than others

@Ivan_Dj Need to make sure it's fully updated first (I struggled, there was a 'bug fix' in the list first, and then the big update appeared)....once updated you will see a different choice list design and Alchemy is offered in the 'Keyboard' panel along with Smart Piano, Sampler, and a More Sounds option....
Alchemy requires Air 2, Mini 4, iPhone 6.
First glance I was not overly impressed, but thanks to this thread I discovered the added effects options (which I missed on first pass), including several built-in effects and AU effects, that will be a game changer. It still frustrates me that you can choose from a range of guitar effects if you plug in an external guitar, but the choice is fixed for the Smart Guitar - why not open this up to all the effects?
My Air 1 is out. My device can run iWavestation, iOddyssei, iVCS3 or Model 15 but not Apple Alchemy...I get it...

STILL no global tuning, even though Logic has had it for ages. I would pay 20 or 30 dollars for garageband if it just had global tuning. Oh well, plenty of non-apple apps that work for me
So, I was trying to see how to add an Audiobus instrument to a mix, and couldn't find it. But it did say that I couldn't connect any IAA instruments because AB was connected. Have they dropped Audiobus in this version?! Where is it? And why is it not possible to connect both (on different channels)?

Audiobus was never was accessible from the main app, as with any app that supports audiobus, you launch the app (GarageBand) inside audiobus and as far as I remember (haven't use audiobus in ages) that's all you need to do, then select audio recorder in GarageBand, follow the instructions the app will give you and start recording.
IAA it's not available when audiobus it's in use. does it even matter?
If you are using audiobus already just keep using audiobus and selecting GarageBand as the output for every app you want.
Ahh, im speaking of global reference tuning ala logic pro x where you can change A4=440hz to 432hz

I had deleted GB. I experimented a few freezes and crashes with AU and loading some GB FX.I guess it's too much for my Air 1. I should upgrade my device
