I also don't understand Americas obsession with religion> @InjectorGadget said:
Have fun in your selfmade prison cell.
I'll pick whomever I want, thank you. Maybe I don't agree with every single thing he believes but he did enough good in my view for me to call him a hero.
Islam was founded in the 6th century. The Islamic golden age is typically dated between the years 692 and 945.
What happened was the Mongols.
For someone with such strong opinions about Islam you know remarkably little about it.
this is one of the most absurd conversations I ever had.
The stories he tells about his life and his conversion are not true.
InspectorGadget: Have you visited Saudi Arabia? How about Lebanon where homosexuality is legal?
Yes there are a number of arguments as to why it declined of which this is one, but the Mongol invasion was clearly a precipitating factor. However this particular argument is an institutional one that doesn't support the argument that you want to make. It's not making an argument about the particularities of Islam, but about the generalities of institutions that shape societal incentives. It's also not a an argument that everyone agrees with. It's one argument of many. I'd love to discuss it more, but this probably isn't the place for it.
I wouldn't know about that. I saw that debate years ago and I didn't read Radical. I like that he is exposing Islamists and speaking honestly about Islam, he brought the whole Islam conversation to a more honest place. I believe that's a good thing and I'm sure it cost him a lot.
Saudi Arabia has a population of 29 million. There are 1.6 billion musli> @InjectorGadget said:
The majority of the world's muslims live in Asia, not the middle east.Apparently you didn't know this.
The population of Saudi Arabia is 29 million, the population of the middle east is around 220 million. Most people who live in the Middle East are not Saudis. If you really want to talk about, I dunno, facts - a significant proportion of the Saudi population are Shi'ites (you know what they are, right?), who are persecuted by the Saudi government. And as it happens not all Saudis are Wahhabis.
There are 1.6 billion muslims in the world. Not sure why you're fixating on the policies of a repressive 'dictatorship' that contains 29 million (of whom 3 million are Shiite minorities).
It made him personally quite wealthy.
I remembered what you maybe meant by those stories he tells - the Islamist group he was part of, then the prison in Egypt when 9/11 happened , then torture, Amnesty International adopted him as a prisoner of conscience and then something something Harry Potter books... - was all that made up?
@InjectorGadget
a stranger told me today I was a selfhating fag because I don't visit Saudi Arabia and that I shouldn't worry because "real" man are taking care of business now.
This says nothing about me, but a lot about you.
Good night.
How is hurling insults at each other on a MUSIC FORUM going to change anything? Why does OP insist on polluting this peaceful place and creating angst between the community here?!
Some more input about Maajid Nawaz and his Quilliam-foundation
Wiki
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quilliam_(think_tank)
And some critique from 5 pillars (a large British Moslim site) with amongst others how Maajid Nawaz cashed
http://5pillarsuk.com/2013/10/09/quilliam-foundation-never-has-a-british-muslim-organisation-been-more-reviled/
Could give you more input but have to go to sleep now
Gee, it's so easy to make you let your pants down.
@mannix I'm quite aware of his work and although I am very skeptical about Islam reform I keep an open mind. He is an important voice on this topic in my opinion.
this is disgusting and should be stopped immediately
Rofl
Nah Like I said it's so easy to make you soul striptease for me.
I can make you dance like my little puppet.
Well I said to bad I don't have a musical metaphor for this,
But thx for dancing for me and the lyrics.
You might not agree w Victor Davis Hanson.. But this guy is a genius IMO..
"America As Animal Farm Again".

He was a member of Hizb ut-Tahrir and he was in an Egyptian jail. I suspect the rest is exaggerated, or false. Whenever he talks about his childhood I wonder if he came from another dimension where Islamophobia (rather than anti-Pakistani racism) was a thing in the late 80s/early 90s. Or where Hizb ut-Tahir where a scary force on campuses, rather than the joke you laughed about as you walked past them. And his description of his conversion and time in prison is rather inconveniently contradicted by interviews he gave at the time.
Okay @InjectorGadget - what is that these muslims all believe? You've described them as fascist and dangerous. Can you describe these beliefs that they ALL have?
Give him some time to realize what a complete idiot he made out of himself.
I'm not going to take your word for it, I barely care, that's some pretty irrelevant shit whether it's true or not.
Oh Christ.
I've avoided this, avoided the Christian Bale ass hat, and really try to keep the AudioBus iOS music production forum to iOS music production.
But enough. 2 years ago if everyone of these Trump Zombies was asked what they thought of Donald Trump they'd say "the rich dude who fires people on TV?" Not what a great political mind he is, not what a compassionate champion of the middle class he is and certainly not what a classy, level headed representative of American values he was.
The megalomaniacal fraud knowingly let a foreign power interfere with an American Presidential election all the while throwing up the smoke screen that it was he who was the victim of a rigged process.
He's incompetent, unqualified and dangerously erratic as his Twitter feed for the last 5 years has explicitly shown. He is a low class, silverspooned con artist who gave a pro wrestling style heel promo that all the sub IQ80 closeted bigots who were upset that the black guy won bought hook, line and sinker.
The GOP has forgotten that we're all politically both sides of the same coin. Winning at all costs is all that matters and they all are complicit in participating in the most egregious attack on the democracy of the United States ever. They've let a rooster loose in the hen house and knowingly have put the future of our country in unprecedented peril.
GOP's knew from jumpstreet that he was a egotistical buffoon and everytime they could've made a stand they would for a few days, then they'd capitulate because they couldn't bear that Hillary might win. They'd rather have an insane, sociopathic man child be leader of the free world than "that bitch", a fully competent, experienced States woman.
Those who voted for him and all of those who could have voted but didn't are just as complicit. The real crime is that 3 million more people chose the other candidate but since we still adhere to an archaic, stoneage system (the Electoral College) that was put in place to appease SLAVE OWNERS, Trump squeaked by, by less than 1% in the 3 states that gave him the EC 270 standard.
With Russia's hacking taking an unknown toll, the FBI putting on a false flag operation a week before the election and the news media giving Trump 100x the TV advertising while he claimed they hampered him, tomorrow's sham of a Inauguration will go down as the nadir if American history. He shouldn't be President and the damage he will bring is frightening to ponder.
It used to be that the GOP was the "patrioric" party, acting as if they had the patent on patriotism. Look to the days after 9/11 when if you dared criticize Bush Jr or not hang a flag off your window you were deemed a commie. Curious then that the GOP now support a man proven to be in bed with Russia with Putin's hand pushed squarely up his ass.
Trump and those who support him are not Americans, they're traitors, end of story.
You seem very confused, when talking about islam you're all in favour of liberal western democracy, female equality and rights for the lgbt community, then you start ranting about the left and fail to notice the glaring contradictions.
There is a spectrum of thought on the left just as much as on the right, yet you lump everyone together, I see from this nuance isn't a strong point of yours. A lot of people to the left that I know aren't that keen on obama, thought he wasted a golden opportunity for real change, hillary being further to the right of obama, put a lot of people off, especially her bellicose language towards russia.
The alt-right for me are just a distraction the elitists are using to shift blame away from their greed and incompetence, onto people who have no real power and very little say. Steve bannon, ex goldman sachs executive and head at breitbart news, platform of the alt-right. Robert mercer, billionaire wall street hedge fund magnate, bankrolls breitbart, seems like your pov, is very much dictated by the very elitists, you pretend to rail against.
Have some dignity man and don't let them use your buttocks as a slipper, personally I would of liked to of seen buddy roemer for the republicans and bernie sanders for the democrats, even though I don't agree with everything they say, they both seem sincere to me and not corporate shills. There is a reason hillary and trump are both very unpopular and that reason is, gullible people in the states are a minority, thank god.
Here you go @injectorgadget some lefties waxing lyrical on some wisdom from the deep south
One more for ya pleasure, this time in regards to the alt right, from the same fount of knowledge
