I didn't think you could automate AU or IAA parameters in Auria Pro. Can you? Or, are you referring to some automation you're recording within the app? I've love to be proven wrong, but I thought all you could automate was the Auria plugins like Fab, PSP, etc. basically just the ones in white at the top of the list.
Tell me about it
LOVE THIS COMPANY
Wish I could enjoy their apps more
great app. The x/y pads can be assigned to MIDI control, although I use frequency shifters mostly with static settings.
I think you're right. Very irritating. Have to go to a Plan B as soon as I think of one.
+1
Um yes... instamine.
Its def fills a gap for what I need it for i.e. pitching down samples + nice filtering - insta buy
I think I can probably do a bit of this in Turnado, but it's too fiddly so I'll most likely get this one later for a Friday night treat.
I'm just a bit frustrated with Poseidon synth which I cant change any BPM settings. When I disable all midi sync options it still won't allow me to change the BPM and the clock goes crazy (200bpm and faster). Its my only issue and the rest of my VirSyn apps works fine and also like them a lot.
Wicked fun being able to set independent LFO rates for each frequency band!
I've always wanted a Bode Frequency Shifter too. Frekvens also does frequency shifting. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/frekvens/id1062305416?mt=8
Great for mangling the sound of my electric mandola and even better in AUM, when used alongside iDensity or iPulsaret.
Can't save my Bandshift presets using the standalone app on my iPod Touch 6. If I hit the + button only the presets list opens, no new user preset window is visible. I tried mailing altered presets to myself but bizarrely, they turn up in my inbox as an Emo Chorus.fxp and icon. Bandshift is unusable on my Mini 1 (still on 9.3.5) but that's perhaps to be expected; it's getting a bit long in the tooth now... time for 'the' new iPad methinks.
P.S Just had a nice email from Virsyn; they've managed to reproduce the bug and have promised a fix asap :-)
I was curious about this aspect too. I like to record the interaction with sound on the fly while playing in AUM. Mostly twisting up parameters. I have another one that's kinda fun and a big xy pad that you can load up called Vio, but it's not the same as this, a little flaky, and I doesn't appear to be supported anymore.
To be honest, I've only used Turnado in Auria Pro, but I just had a play using it as an effect with 4 xy pads to control during play/record. I liked it and didn't find it all that fiddly in action. Maybe in editing the parameter details a bit, but not too bad.
Will be curious if you decide to get this one, how you think it compares in action compared to what you can already do with Turnado's xy live fx interaction.
I'll have a go with Turnado later, just to make sure I'm not doubling up - this one definitely has some unique features though - being able to shift multiple frequencies is very cool. Think I'll most likely get it, very much my cup of madness.
I have a list of users in my head (a rogue's gallery really) which I seem to unconsciously match new apps with, kind of helps me understand their place in the scheme of things, and within the first minute or two I was wondering what you would do with this one...
The danger is I might be tempted to use it on everything.
Yeah, I like this somewhat, but it does feel a bit redundant on the surface, but not quite. The demo video turned me off to be honest, but I can see using this with radical changes, only happening very slowly instead of quickly as they are in the demo video.
In the video, it looks like he's only using one xy pad at a time. Can anyone confirm if you can play both xy pads at the same time?
As I've stated before, I'm personally trying to be less trigger-happy with my new app purchases (no offense to those purchasing with joyous unbridled wild abandon)
and at least answer the questions "will I still be using this 2 weeks from now?" and "Is this redundant with something else I already have."
I've only bought two apps so far this year, I think I need to up my game a bit.
I like the idea of loading up an existing track, and running it through the multiple band frequency shifter for complete madness.
$6.99 isn't a bad Friday night/weekend mad-money fun-time expenditure.
Will ping ya back after the initial new purchase dopamine rush subsides a little. My guess is that the controls and layout, though likely somewhat redundant, will be more "fun" in practice.
I ended up getting too drunk to do the thing, I'll have another go tomorrow look
Nothing to be ashamed of. Has happened to most men down the years etc etc.
Ended up swimming and running twice today. With that much exercise, I think I'll celebrate Spring... and hit the bottle too.
Cheers!
@VirSyn Any plans for giving us access to parameters in the AUx ? Or will this be like AudioEffx and never get those controls ? I'm hesitant because i pretty much just use AUx now. and AudioEffx has pretty much been in a state of disuse due to never getting the access we were promised.
I bought it ( I have all Virsyn apps anyway ) and indeed there is a simple midi learn function. I like the pitch shifter ( shift only ,vocal pitch presets) and the preset multi panner is excellent though I'm not fond of almost metallic presets sound.Indeed it would be a good idea to integrate it in the AudioEffX ( we can say the same with some very niched Au of klevgr : jussi , pads , tines which are too limited imho) All in one (turnado, fluxfx ) or a great number of limited a la carte as said Rustik ...Someone mentioned Vio, I didn't know this one ...
Been trying to get a similar effect from Turnado and drawn a blank - though again I'm completely blown away by how good Turnado is. Note to self - use this more.
So this seems to be pretty unique, and a likely candidate for the Monzo toy box.
Two minds.
A morsel of madness to whet the appetite would be most welcome.
Did you get it? I could see this working well for noisemeisters such as ourselves.
Not yet, I think we're all waiting for enlightenment.
Hold Virsyn apps in very high regard and would be a good fit for the vocal ideas I want to explore..
Oh dear.
I'd like to see more vids, particularly the multi-band shifting - I get the feeling that could be a lot of fun, but they make some of my favourite apps so resistance is futile.
I fear you may be right. Love all their apps but oddly rarely record with them, yet..
