Updated my review![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Guys reviews help the devs a lot!! Please a second to update your submitted review and it will show up with latest update![<3 <3](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/heart.png)
At the App Store when you search for KRFT just type KRFT cause it hasn't updated the discription yet.![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Love the updates, small things like the label option show a great attention to detail and usability, and very accommodating devs.
Everytime I reopen KRFT I get message saying last time KRFT did not shut down properly - do I want to restore last surface. No biggie - it comes back to my last saved project. Anyone else?
I get that too if I don't exit the surface before quitting the app.
Ditto.
It's killing the app in the background and it's trying to re open the surface you were working on. It used to do it automatically but if you had a dud project you'd get stuck in a loop that you could never escape so we made a pop up to ask.
I spent 10 minutes with it initially, and concluded that it was a neat little toy. However, I spent substantially more time with it last night and have a new appreciation. It is great.
That's great to hear. Any pointers on how we could avoid this for other users? More tutorials? Demo surfaces??
Been looking at it --- we are currently registered as a remoteInstrument. But I think @AudioGus might be right, I can register as remoteGenerator...
Will have to try ---- can you explain how to tell that it's working properly ?
@Michael_R_Grant "follow" actions are a great idea. It could allow some pretty interesting surfaces!
Definitely something worth investigating --- it strikes me that there will be a few corner cases to figure out.
In Audioshare you can host KRFT (which shows up as an instrument, (Note that Attack is a Generator) and send Audioshare to Audiobus.
At this point KRFT plays back fine.
If however you send Audioshare into Blocs...
Then KRFT does not play back anymore and just sits there...
As a side note, I may do a little video in a bit showing how nice it is to record Audiobus (and Link) supporting apps (probably Elastic Drums and Shoom) into Blocs Wave. It is very very cool with apps that support the Audiobus Sidebar. Being able to do it with KRFT would be awesome. But yah, I will try and make time for a little video.
I have a little extra time right now, here, you take it, make the video....
It's not you, but rather me (and my ADD)
Keep on keeping on what you are doing. An already great app just keeps getting better.
On second thought...more demo surfaces are always welcome
How about custom drum kits from imported samples and choke groups, at least on the hi-hats? I don't think the current hi-hats choke each other. I'm not hearing that characteristic "k-shupp." The open hi-hat sample on "Atlanta" sounds like it has a closed hi-hat choke on the end baked in, but that's not very useful.
Individual pan and level per drum sample would be useful too.
I love KRFT - got a great track all set up with fills and morphs and sections ... but I must admit I'm struggling a bit getting a performance recorded. I blame my brain. Get more than 5 or 6 of those rectangles down and I always miss something during a recording or trigger the wrong one. But I'm having a lot of fun trying each time. I guess this is where practice makes perfect... I've never been much of a performance guy - more producer who molds sound into a track. So this is a great distraction. Fun and inspiring.
Don't forget you can now label all the cells to help you remember![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
It Helps. Takes practice to get the right arrangement I want in my head. I've tried several times now recording. Getting close. Last try was almiost there. Few more should get it.
@Alex fox
@w3epy
Aww thanks man! Here it is...
I decided to go with Gadget. Now the point is to imagine KRFT in place of Gadget and just how awesome it would be for recording into Blocs if it had Audiobus...
Thanks for that, will be trying that combo later.
Blocs rules again, not bad for a toy.![;) ;)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/wink.png)
Wasting time? Not at all. My average work day is a better example of that.
That's really cool. Excellent as an example for The K but also just as is for Gadget into Blocs, which is not something I've ever tried but certainly will now. I have to say when I just freelance rubbish to try things it always sounds like rubbish, but listening to your wild randomness I was liking it. Always the way I guess.
Thanks much for doing this. Really helpful. Would suggest you set the alarm for something around three and blast your track back through the wall at the neighbors....
Aww thanks man! Here it is
Felt like i knew these apps well, but picked up a few tips here. Great vid![B) B)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/sunglasses.png)
Aww thanks guys!![ ](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
No, no, thanks to you. Just blew 45 minutes of my lifetime's allowance on a fun thrash with Chaing Mai (of all things) and then some Madrid and some Module on top of that, all into Blocs and in no time I was cursing these paltry eight slots. By no means enough. A lot of fun, most unlike me![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Great vid @AudioGus
Finally pulled the trigger. This really feels like a new way to make music. I like everything thats come out and everything that comes out is different than what I'd normally come up with.
Being able to record GUI movement ala Samplr and mute and solo added to mixer would be amazing
Great stuff ! ... Can you explain these in a little more detail ?
That was superb, I'm going to try this out tonight, thanks Gus.
My main interest with those suggestions was to have a way to get separate audio per track out of KRFT. Figure is probably a better example than Samplr. Like KRFT, the main way you "play" Figure is by manipulating the GUI. In Figure you can record GUI movements and play them back. With the GUI movements recorded, you can selectively mute tracks and then, in multiple passes, capture separate audio per track in another app. Obviously there are other ways to isolate audio per-track. In other apps like Figure and Samplr, being able to record GUI movements is a really powerful feature IMO, not just for multi-track audio but in general. HTH
10000000000% yes!!!!
