it looks like you have a good workaround anyway until then![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Sounds like there are a few bugs to fix. What's the exact setup and steps to replicate? Thanks !
I describe it on page two of this thread with screenshots, but using Audioshare instead of AUM (same results).
Hey Mister Gus. Appreciate them thar thousand words. All clear to me now. Mainly sat in awe staring at your surface, not a sentence I ever expected to type another strange man on the Internet on any given Saturday night, but that's modernity for ya...
Great thanks
Howdy @Alex fox. The private sharing gets an A+ for transferring files between devices. Bravo! Can you explain what happens when I don't fork the network version? Does the local device overwrite the network version if I choose not to fork?
Guys I don't see anyone else's Surfaces except Alex and W3epy's? Anyone else see mines?
Hey! Great glad it's useful. Were hoping you guys will share some stuff publicly too as it's a lot of fun playing on other people's stuff.
If you fork it will create a new instance of the Surface. By default you open Surfaces that you do not own as a fork. If you own the Surface typically you want to just continue working on the same instance so we give you the option to open the "original". If you already have a local version of the same Surface it will be overwritten by the one opened from the network...
We'll try and come up with some better language as it is a bit of a confusing concept!
Yours are there...
Lol!!! I'm not as
talented as yours ![:D :D](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/lol.png)
I really love the way your surfaces rock!!!
This app is truly awesome!!
Always good to see what everyone gets up to
I'll share some public stuff soon but I have samples that need to be deleted first... Need to do the file housekeeping to enable that. It'd be easier if samples were just stripped out of public sharing...
With the original path for sharing, I'd still have manually upload the latest version to the network after making updates on any device, right? Meaning: the network version is not automatically updated when local changes are made, right?
It took me a while to find the "recent" tab to find surfaces by users other than the devs.
You guys are killing us reg'lar folks here![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Easy General

Maybe a way to auto remove or ignore the samples would make it easier @Alex fox ?
Oh, I'm good. And Mister Fox kindly invited us to join the Beta also, but I couldn't do it justice right now, so am waiting in the queue like the polite (impatient) Englishman I am....
I am afraid that if I install tesflight and the beta I will lose the surfaces currently dear to my heart.
Yes, I did suggest just stripping out the files like you say. On average how many user imported samples do you have on a Surface?
Yes that's correct. The version on the network does not automatically update when you save locally, only when you upload to network.
A justifiable concern until this network option arrived to back everything up. I did lose surfaces moving from beta to released app last time. Not a big deal for me though.
At least with the new beta you can back them up to the network!
Did you? That's odd. With the last release we had to change the way we used storage so there was a chance that something might get lost but going forward it really shouldn't be an issue.
If you guys do lose any Surfaces, please let us know. It's important that we fix these bugs.
I usually have 5-10 samples per surface. I will probably sound like a broken record but I'd rather leave my samples in the audio loopers and samplers I have been using forever and just use MIDI CCs to turn them on and off in KRFT. Storing samples in KRFT feels like overkill to me.
Keeping samples in KRFT is not overkill for those who use the morph functions of KRFT to control sample playback. I would like to see KRFT eventually add MIDI out functionality.
Which morph do you use with samples that are only available in KRFT?
I use morph on my own samples. Volume, distortion, filter, pitch, and delay are some of the morphs I've used.
Tell me this app is jumping on the new bus please
So when is 1.4 coming?
@JohnnyGoodyear and @Nicebutfun: you are going to like v1.4:
@Alex fox and team are killin' it!
@lukesleepwalker I can see that you are having trouble talking in the most effective manner about a product that is beyond our current grasp. I forgive you for this, but have arranged for this book to be delivered to you in case you have this same problem in other areas of your communicating life. All the best etc.
General Lol!!!
@JohnnyGoodyear how thoughtful. thanks.
The KRFTy dudes have rolled out AB3 support in the latest beta and that's what you are looking at in my screen shot! So you can record straight into Blocs Wave, using the little record button in the AB bar on the right side... V1.4 is gonna be HUGE in a string of big releases.
