KRFT 1.4 is out - 04-12-17 (on the bus with AB3)
And, yeah, I'm looking forward to getting my hand on another man's surface and I aint too proud to admit it etc.
Comments
Excellent, just signed up and loaded the sucker in AB3, seems to work as expected.
I did notice that the AB icon was missing in the pick list until it was first loaded, no big deal, have seen this with other apps too.
Will find time to play later when not pretending to be engaged in gainful employment.
@TheVimFuego What is this gainful employment you talk of? I imagined you spent your days rolling the rubes...

...and I just had surgery today. Wooohoo!
OH wow, that little bouncy ball is ADORABLE! That will look so cute in screen captured movies.
You're gonna love Alex's Surfaces. Was playing them today on my commute from work. Soooo much fun!
So now how does a person copy a surface from one ipad to another? I can't seem to figure out how to upload...
Ahoy... three dots... I see I see
Hey there users of this app, how is the sample import? I'm mostly interested in creating with sampled audio on the fly
That is vastly more productive than my average work day right now.
I chose software engineering many moons ago for a number of reasons, chiefly the fact that I'm good at it coupled with my desire to deliver efficient solutions.
My current role seems to be triaging the same issues over and over again.
I digress however, back to the people who actually deliver something useful, long live KRFT.
Here is the IPhone version.. more option on the scroll down that screen capture did not copy...
'Open in' from Blocs Waves is a breeze..
Edit... Opps , that sample time stretch should be set to 97 bpm....
Finally picked this up today. What an inspiring app. Seems like it can go really deep. I like the tip of being able to 'open in' from Blocs and other apps. Now I need a good wav editor with loop points.
If this app ever did a midi track out IAP, I'd buy in a heartbeat. That could very well be The Answer for me.
Hey guys looking forward to playing on your creations!
Sorry to keep banging the same old drum but please please please re-submit your review as when we update we lose our average rating. This has a significant effect on sales. It's a shame Apple opted to do this because it puts small developers off from updating often.
Done.
Congrats on the release, Alex.
Done, yes it is a silly policy.
Done.
Where is the 'open in' option? I've tried this from Blocs, and checked KRFT but it doesn't appear on the Blocs export list. I've tried doing it via 'export session mix' and the general export wav option in Blocs but KRFT is not on the list. It's not there when I try and export files from AudioShare as well.
I'm not sure this is implemented.. maybe he means the open in blocs from KRFT session recording?
Ah ok, thanks...thought it was a nifty way to get Blocs stuff directly into KRFT.
That would be quite nifty
Updated review
You can open in Audioshare from Blocs and then import to KRFT not too much of an extra step, but open in KRFT would be very nice too. I think it would be useful to add sharing of surfaces between devices via airdrop etc Can you currently share/export without using the network upload?
Thanks for the update
It would! As @Carnbot said you can do this via the AudioShare step but a lot of other apps allow direct import from Blocs. No mad rush, but it'd be a nice option.
No you have to upload to network, it's a small file so shouldn't take long and you can set to private.
Thanks for all the review updates!
Dev of the year hands down!
Respect your commitment and continued updates and interactions on here alex!
Looking forward to trying the new features mate
Congrats on another stellar release! Love this app and it just keeps getting better and better... Review updated.
Sorry to be such a numbnut, but can some kind soul remind me how to select cells in the piano roll? Played a bunch of notes in and want to select them all and move them along a few spaces....
Updated review.
I've not taken plunge on this yet.....I have watched a lot of vids and where I am intrigued by it I am not in the 'I have got to try this app' mode with it......
What is it that makes this so unique/inspiring ?
Sorry to be the bringer of bad news but this isn't a feature implemented at the moment! It's on the list !!!!
@AndyPlankton
The UI.
At first you're like what pretty blocks, squares, triangles, circles, and then once you crank on if the demos you're like: BAM!!!!!! This is it!!!
Yep then once you catch you're breath, you begin to explore the vastness, the depth, the thought and dedication by amazing developers who love music as much as any of us! Perhaps even more. Then you begin to realize how beautiful in design, form, is this piece of art. Which it really is an art design from the heart of developers who love music and this universal language that unites us all.
Wrote this while playing the Puuuurfect Surface demo by Alex. Soooo beautiful! My favorite thus far.
Ah. Understand. And understand priorities in app development. I love how much you can get at the sounds in this app but tend to spend a lot of time in piano rolls, especially getting the balance or harmonies between diff. instruments, so need to move things around a fair amount. While there are lots of other bits and bobs that are nice to be able to do, the ability to 'simply' select notes and then move them is pretty much base camp for this area (for me anyways)....glad to hear this is at least on the list....
