A second ipad running KRFT
DJ Tech Tools just released the Midi Fighter 64. Could be a good option with a powered hub.
djtechtools.com/2017/06/02/shawn-wasabi-interview-midi-fighter-64-released/
I prefer a launchpad pro and it's even cheaper...
Synth that doubles as midi keys, ni's kontrol f1 for pads/knobs/faders/buttons and guitar with midi pickup. Maybe add my minibrute as second keys if i win auction for a midi thru box.
midi solutions has some great midi merge, through, boxes etc... for really good prices and allot of them work without an adapter drawing power from the 1st midi port on the unit.... no batteries needed just plug and go and no computer needed.
Owning a midifighter pro cue master I'd suggest getting a launchpad pro instead. It's extremely easy to get lost when all you have is arcade buttons. A good compromise it having a launchpad pro and one of the smaller midifighters. Plus the smaller ones have 4 banks mode giving you effectively 64 buttons.
Just won an auction for a an OP-1. I've been on the fence about getting it, but it will compliment BM3 quite nicely both as a sample source and soft synth. controller:)
Digitakt, I'm going to use BM3 to make up for the digitakts lack of stereo sampling and polyphonic instruments.
Will use the digitakts 8 midi channels to seq BM3
Good controller that, it just works.
I think this is my first post on this thread, do I win a prize?
probably posted already somewhere around here but I'm such a fan
Seaboard Rise. So i hope BM3 plays well with it.![:p :p](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/tongue.png)
While i love some iOS apps and even playing on the glass (Animoog, Model 15, ThumbJam mostly here) it is in general a bad device for dynamic playing (even much worse than my computer keyboard as midi input with some randomizers). But it is great with pads for triggering or multi-touch optimized performance input like Borderlands Granular, Samplr, Geoshred etc.
I know i will be not happy if BM3 will not offer something more straight forward thinking in terms of that too.
But we can´t have all
Any new news?
i dont know BM3, is it actually for real or is this the biggest conspiracy ever ?
What's the ETA on this long awaiting App
No more news, even about the promised teasing video... Wtf... I've rarely seen a Dev being so technically talented and so bad when it comes to communication...
But I'm still checking everyday for news... I still have faith lol
PS: exemple of bad communication management I: they should have accepted me in the beta... I would be testing the app instead of bitching on this forum... Lol lol
When it finally arrives it'll be like jesus' resurrection. The wait for this app is beyond patience control. It feels as if we've waited for this app for 5 years or so.
I've bought 2 idevices while waiting for this app. that's saying something. if they keep it up its gonna be at 3 (the new pro).....
I started a new career since this app was "announced for announcing the announcement".
Seriously...a new career has been bestowed upon me with two raises and a promotion since March. Bm3 feels like a pipe dream at this point.
Gadget will have auv3 before this is released...
NanoStudio 2 will certainly make bm3 seem like old news and my prediction for its release is around third week of July like the first version
If Gadget gets auv3 (+ support for IAA/AB input pretty please) soon... It would help waiting for BM3 I guess... For me, in terms of music apps, this year is a bad year until now... With the ridiculously limited audio tracks update of Gadget (attacks with no IAA/AB support... Really ? Come on.... Lol) and the delays of announcements of announcements of delays of BM3 continuing (+ the fact that they rejected my request to be part of the beta)... I almost don't touch my iPad for music anymore these past months...
Sigh
Which?
I'm seriously debating which hardware sampler to jump into. I'm working on a flow chart to decide between Push 2, MPC Live, MPC Touch, Maschine, Digitakt....
So it's to BM3's credit (and the praise of Samu, who is a hype-man of Flavor Flav proportions), that I'm imagining an app can stand in for a $1000 piece of gear....
No app give you tactile feedback of course, so it won´t replace any hardware controller.
You need to include some kind of Audio-Interface too unless you're satisfied with mono-input from the 3.5mm headphone jack or just do some 'sampling' of the apps on your iOS device![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
If iOS11 brings along iOS<->iOS IDAM then we're in for a treat sampling iOS apps (just run what ever app you like on the iPhone and 'sample' it on the iPad). Currently it's in beta so we never know where things are heading.
I don't think Digitakt compares to BM3 (and the other hardware) , maybe ElasticDrums with the sample import IAP and messing with automation , unless BM3 can automate start/end/loop points.
Remember Duke Nukem Forever?
2nd hand iPad 3, new air2. Grabbing a pro2 next. Just not sure which one yet though.
Automating and assigning modulators(velocity, lfos etc.) to the sample-start, end and loop-points is to my knowledge already scheduled for an update but we never know what happens, it might even pop up sooner than we know![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Super excited
, I can finally get over the Digitakt obsession ! ( but I would buy it in a heartbeat,if I could afford it )
Thanks @Samu
I've been keeping a close eye on the Elektron Digitakt as well!
Elektron started their business here in my hometown of Gothenburg, they have their office here
I was fascinated by their first product, the SidStation but was never able to get my hands on one...
From the info I've gathered Digitakt and Elastic Drums are in the same 'league' while BM3 is more of a proper almost all inclusive sampling workstation.
On the Digitakt you can change the sample per step as an example, or do some other per-step stuff.
The 'end result' can be replicated using other apps but it takes a bit more work with automation editing etc.
At some point we do have to realise there will never be 'one app does absolutely everything we can ever imagine and have not even thought about yet'![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
I'm always drooling over new hardware when I should instead look at what I've already got and really put the apps and stuff I've already to good use and figure out a work-around or two...
Blasphemy![;) ;)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/wink.png)
