    We'll see on Monday!

I'd love to see a system-wide 'FileProvider' that makes every apps 'Documents' folder available thru the standard document picker. The iCloud Drive.app could then be used to manage all the files.

Apps that support the document picker could also easily access the files :)

I also hope iOS 'cuts' the iTunes dependency.

iOS could easily 'serve' all apps documents folders using SMB to 'trusted' devices. Instant wireless access using Finder, Windows Explorer to the files stored on the iOS device.

iCloud/Cloud-Services is not the answer or solution to file transfers between iOS and other devices.
(I mean sure it's nice in theory but when we're dealing with multiple GBs of data 'The Cloud' is not practical solution).

    Hmmmm.....

    Your late. :)

Did someone beat me to it? Bugger! Good news if it's true though :)

  • Was just going to post that. could be great news :)

  • I better not ask for too much. I think i will watch the keynote this year. I will drink a liquor for every "awesome".....prepared to get drunken.

Sweet! Maybe we can get an iOS version of Resonic Pro one day... https://resonic.at/pro

  • During WWDC's Apple has a habit of stealth-releasing app updates so we might get some goodies.
I'll be glued to the AppleTV for the duration of they keynote. It will take some time to fully digest it...
(Some things may feel meh at first but make sense later, but the rumoured Siri-Speaker feels super lame already).

  • But wasn´t drop and drag not already possible with apps from the same developers. I remember i saw a video once....maybe it was a jailbreak thing. Not sure.

If you drink a shot for every amazing, incredible, only apple can do this, you will be under the table before the thing is over.
    Starting in 80 min

I have enough weight to handle that :#

But they must deliver something like that (even if we don´t care) since Alexa and Co. are already smarter than Siri.
Siri just won´t understand me and we will never get warm together.

Adobe doesn't do this, it's copy and paste ...
    Must be jailbreak

I mean i saw a video once where someone just drop and drag a file from one app to another in split screen mode like i would do it on my macbook.

  • Readdle announced drag and drop support last week, although many thought it might actually be using a soon to be released api...

    https://www.macstories.net/ios/readdle-brings-split-view-drag-drop-to-their-ipad-apps/

  • Whatever. I really want it!
I think since years WTF is there no drop and drag on a multi-touch device.
So please let me open this new files app and just drop and drag from there to every app (which supports it).
But after a year even the split screen feature is not really a thing or?

I heard they will show on stage how to drop and drag files between NanoStudio 2 and BeatMaker 3. :p
And don´t forget drop and drag for midi files into groove locked midi FX apps.

So a good sign that we indeed see new hardware (whatever it is) because the Apple Store app is down.
The question is how much i have to drink to order an iPad Pro today and can i even remember tomorrow.
(or worse i surprise myself with a new macbook pro with touch bar)

Better stock up on USB-C adaptors then...

  • We could se 'price drops' on iPhones...
Many retailers are already selling iPhone 7's at way lower prices than AppleStore...

Here is Sweden we can get (from Nettonet) a 128GB iPhone 7 or 32GB iPhone7+ for 7990SEK(820EUR/922USD including VAT). And the Galaxy S8 goes for the same price...

  • Press have been told to expect the keynote to run over 2 hours...
    Sounds promising.

I'm already living in the future with extern ssd with usb-c and so where i right now need an adapter for.
    You not? ;)
This is a thing i have no problem with.
Better than just one lightning port.

  • I think my iPhone 6S plus will last for a few years still.
So i'm in the boat for a new mac and/or iPad.
    Not sure yet.

So would something like beatmaker3 be able to use samples stored on an SSD drive without having to copy them to main storage first? @samu ?

Nice synth music there yet at the stream!

  • So it starts....until later to complain..... >:)

Theoretically yes. I mean I'm 'streaming' movies straight from Sandisk iXpand using inFuse without having to copy them to the device first... if apple opens up the mass-storage support in iOS then it's a big YES.

Cool... well, if BM3 does indeed deliver as a sampler it could just get me considering this route.

  • Well I've just had Apples TestFlight app to IOS 11 beta..... in the App Store...

  • New beta 6 out now for iOS 11!

Only one week sunce the last beta 5... Hmmm...
