Beathawk is excellent and has some amazing sound packs available as IAP's. It offers so much but not the deep DAW like editing as BM3. It's really good though.

I don't need the app 'right now' at all. I just want it so that I can download it and then get on with my day.

Have budgeted for this one - I have a big recording project coming up and it seems like the timing is fortuitous for me to ignore the release of this on sale price!

Ok go at the end of the row and let the other childs enjoy it first, be polite Oscar... You don't want me talk to your parents, right? Good boy, goood boy...

  • They could release it at a minute to midnight in American Samoa and still (technically) meet their July 15th release date.

You sound like you're making excuses for them. You've been stood up in the rain outside the closed chippy, yet you're still longing for them to arrive.

At 6:40 AM Eastern Intua tweeted "a couple more hours". I take that as in about an hour from now. We'll see!

I am not interested in the "beat machine" / "drum machine" capabilities of BM3.
Yes, I think in this regard BH2 and BM3 are similar, but BM3 may be more capable.

I am interested in using BM3 as a DAW, from the former hype in this forum.

But now, on the Overview page of Intua, I cannot see MIDI tracks, which confuses me a lot.

Teaser vid said input output routing. I assume it applies to both midi and audio.

Joking aside, it is a bit frustrating. I've got the day off, set aside time, the app's ready to go, Apple have cleared it for release, but we're still waiting.

It looks amazing, though, and I'm sure the long wait will be forgotten once it is released.

We will be well covered for MIDI editing. I can see sequencer, pattern editor and scene mode :)

I'm sure apple can monitor hits on the store, wonder what the demand looks like. In the meantime, soothing music...

That takes me back........ B.B.C "Vision On", & Tony Hart, "The Gallery".......

    The worst launch ever

Gadget 3 was the worst launch ever. But we survived it.

  • Don't go too far... High expectations lead to high frustration...

  • Well, it's a little amateurish. I mean, the BM3 homepage is up with a bunch of dead links. When is the last time you saw an error 404 page?

I hope that's a suggestion, and it won't forbid downloading. I have a mini 2, and I've been holding my breath for this for a year.

  • Let's hope the app works better than the launch. :D

Are you planning on using gadget in conjunction with bm3 and if so how?

Intua are as bad marketers as they are good devs... always making false announcements, inducing unexpected delays, ... but always the best apps, and I thinks that in the end it really is the most important.

ps : And me too, you can consider that this release is ruining my day as I was really planning to try the app a bit during some special free time I was able to save but which is ending soon now... Too bad, but that's life ;-)

Interesting question. If IAA isn't a huge issue, I'll probably use Gadget as a generator to make presets and do everything else in BM3. If BM3 does Midi out I might play around with it as a sequencer to control Gadget as I have done with Modstep in the past.

I've also asked whether iPad mini 2 will work. Was told on this thread or another that the mini 2 was included in the beta testing. Sounds like it didn't make the cut. Guess I'm another left out...oh well such is life, guess I'll save some money today

It is called generating hype, the more this nonsense goes on, the more free build up Intua get, just let them enjoy it, they deserve a nice big hoohaw.

Onviously if there are any issues with the app itself this all backfires, so you can take it as read that this thing will burst out the gates.

For the work that must've gone into this app, they absolutely deserve their moment.

And it looks like a game changer. I really hope other companies take notice of this and start looking at the iPad differently and more seriously in terms of music production software.

Please @mathieugarcia let BM3 run on iPad Mini 2. It has an identical processor and RAM as the Mini 3!!

  • I think they probably should have got the website stuff set up a day earlier. Doing it all on the same day is asking for problems...

Hopefully there'll be midi out. But does that mean you'll only be able to control one gadget for each bm3 session or would you be able to open multiple windows of gadget in bm3?
Is gadget your go to synth station would you say?
