Please @intua let BM3 run on iPad Mini 2. It has an identical processor and RAM as the Mini 3!!

Makes no sense as the mini 3 was discontinued in favour of the mini 2 retina.

Ha, ha! It looks to me like the only thing you are waiting for is inspiration with all that gear! Or is it waiting to record the inspiration?

It's strange they wouldn't include iPad mini 2 in that list because if you scroll down they say BM3 works with all 32 bit and 64 bit iPads. BM3 will work better on newer devices. Very confusing

    The worst launch ever

Gadget 3 was the worst launch ever. But we survived it.

Are you planning on using gadget in conjunction with bm3 and if so how?

Interesting question. If IAA isn't a huge issue, I'll probably use Gadget as a generator to make presets and do everything else in BM3. If BM3 does Midi out I might play around with it as a sequencer to control Gadget as I have done with Modstep in the past.

Hopefully there'll be midi out. But does that mean you'll only be able to control one gadget for each bm3 session or would you be able to open multiple windows of gadget in bm3?
Is gadget your go to synth station would you say?

I don't know obviously what BM3 capabilities are but you could send different midi channels out of BM2. In Gadget you set the midi mode to advanced and you can port the input from other instruments.

Gadget is my number one simply because I've only got a 32 gig iPad and Gadget takes up about 20 with Module.

We just performed a big concert last week, which we curated the material specifically for (see this thread: https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/19476/recent-inspirefest-concert-in-airbnb-hq-follow-up-pics-video-clips#latest).

My gear was all laying in its cases this week as I was busy with the 'business follow up' all week. Today just set it all up again for our next big project, which is a recording one! So BM3's launch couldn't have been timed any better!!

    Bring it on!

  • I've thoroughly cleaned my iPad screen? What is ugh about that?

Thanks for the info. Just coming up to speed with mobile production after many years on logic and cubase. Bm3 looks great and gadget is fun.

Everybody knows you don't use Kleenex to clean an iPad! Leaves crumbs!!

  • Maybe Intua should have announced the exact hour and minute it would be released, because I guess the day just wasn’t enough. [smh]

Announcing a day causes more hype than a precise time...
But I think there is a reasonable explanation behind it all, right @mathieugarcia ?

Gadget only has one IAA audio Generator output but it does sync through Link with BM3.

  • I just checked and its now 16th July in New Zealand.

  • Yeah, they probably can't even control the exact time. And even if it went live right now it would probably take hours to download as we bring down apple's servers when we simultaneously start downloading

  • Just think if Intua had instead announced it would be out the week of… how long they’d have people lined up outside the restaurant back door like starving puppies. :)

  • I just hope this stimulates Steinberg and others to bring the real stuff to iPad.

Thanks. Does this mean you can only use one gadget module at a time in bm3

I'm pretty sure Intua can release it, but the timing will be down to apple when it's available
