Btw. Anyone that might think the app is limited to just 8 multi tracks think again. Each bank can actually load up to 128 instruments. Use audio tracks and you can set their inputs per pad per bank.. Already got a 16 channel drum machine going along with a ton of instruments
just mute the banks and set the monitor on per audio channel and you're basically in ableton territory.
I think another Rhythm Roulette is in order! I'll use MPC Live (in standalone, even), and I'll take on anyone here w/ BM3. Just lay out 3 albums. Vinyl rips on YouTube are ideal, for this exercise.
One thing that might be of interest is that Bismark is preparing an AUv3 version of BS-16i!
This is awesome news as we'll be able to use BS-16i as an AUv3 Plug-In to play SoundFonts
IM DOWN .... I did one already!! lets go!!!
That's what I like.
Midi out is confirmed and can be set in the "bank" page through a few self explanatory steps.
There's screenshots on their facebook page
So where does it state its compatible with iPad mini 2?
It now says (in the App Store), merely, "compatible with iPad". But I will also say that, even running a 4 track demo, the Mini 2 is showing 55-60% on the processor usage.
At the moment go to the link to the store from the Intua website.
or you could get an mpc 3000 and some records and call it a day
that's what makes the mpc such a great instrument, so many iterations that maintain a very credible workflow... I particularly like to use my mpc with my iPad as the iPad is the best sound module and a natural for those duties.
Set the latency up to 512. On the mini 2 very likely you'll have to be mindful of the number of tracks and effects. 4 - 6 banks are probably the upper limit.
anyone running bm3 on an mini 4?....... how does it perform?
And would be a giant pain in the ass, to boot. Not to mention all the app switching and crap. By the time you're set up to start chopping and laying down your first sampled pattern on your iPad, I have a finished song. Don't sleep on that Live. I know I don't have to tell you, Kobo. In my mind, BM3 Is great when you're on lunch, in your car and whatnot... it'll feed my MPC nicely.
Thanks for the info, cheers!
Sounds interesting. What do you find the easiest/most straightforward way to extract samples from the Synthbook?
Ok thanks very much, have a good day !
I just hope Intua give us mpc proj export, track exports are great but it would be a really nice touch to have that kind of bridge for hardware sampler users like ableton users.
OMG are you serious yes
ditto do tell?
I'm agreed about that definition with the olds (which have even timestretching with jjOS) but you should recognize that news were a bit deception (even for you, don't make me search your comments...). If you want to play the instrument card once again then don't make comparisions since I can argue iPad fits the same definition and now it has better tools than any mpc.
As I stated in every comment workflow is a matter of taste but features/price it has no discussion, simply do the numbers with the mpc reinnassence as I pointed... my advice is being prepared yourself to hear this argument more times and not from me... since truth find it's own path like water flow from mountains to the sea even throught the hardest rocks.
Safe travels brother, hope all is well & you get some distraction from BM3...be cool. JohnRSIV
I'm on the mini 4 till I get a 10.5, and BM3 is running smoooooove
I'm still at the phase where I'm most just using drum samples. Will keep you informed once I get more into the audio editing. I'll be frank though. Ableton users will adapt to this a lot quicker than someone that is used to cubasis/Auria. Specially those that are used to the audio routing there with it's drumracks.
Haha happy to help!
so you are comparing features + price only, that's your concern noted. but you can search my comparisons all you want... I never compare only price and features.. it's not even my concern... if it was the elektron rytm 2(as long as it has all digitakt features) wouldn't be my most probably next purchase...... if it doesn't have those features then I'll go with digitakt+new ipad...
the only thing I'm concerned about are the things you're interested in overlooking.... no matter what either of us say the most classic music will still have been made on machines that we generally don't talk about
Coming from Cubasis, I have literally no idea what I'm doing
but the possibilities look endless. Will be some reading ahead
missed this... hope all is well as well!
I really wish cubasis stepped up their chopping / sampling game, because I really like the workflow and stability.
