Excellent news! Congrats on the update; looks really nice and the HP and LP filters really help.

Yes I can't wait to have a blast with the new update, I have been reacquainting myself with old version

  • Thanks! This is a great and truly one-of-a-kind app. Now, I do know what I have been missing all of these years.

  • Will this update make me world's #1 EDM producer with all the girls wanting me?

Importer / open file area is coming up with horizontal lines and no import from locations.. Maybe an ios 11 thing or I’m thinking wrong about how that’s supposed to work?

It's showing the documents directory of the app. Is that directory empty on your build? Horizontal lines would make sense in that case.

A good test would be to 'record input' a couple times and see if you get those files showing up.

I guess I'm not sure how to make the import work: I changed a zip of samples to a .werk file in AudioShare, then used "Open In" to send it to WerkBench, but it doesn't appear in the Importer. Sorry to bother you with this. Probably user error.

    Fantastic app, fantastic update!

You're not the #1 EDM producer unless to boys want you too !

  • Thank you for the update @KarlBolasol , look forward to playing with this later.

Ah! Import just looks for wav files in your documents directory. The .werk format is set up to be openable by Werkbench and I've just been doing it via iTunes file sharing and my laptop, airdrop, etc. I will make this more user friendly!

Andy is familiar with the EDM audience, confirmed.

Ahh user error on my part, I thought import would bring up import from locations. Replies clarified the importing process. Glad to see link and audioshare mentioned as in the works.. update made this fun unique app more productive. Cheers!

  • My bad - have found the random function - cool

I never used the delay on this for some reason, until the update, it is very musical and smooth, like an analog/tape delay, when you tweak with the time knob with the repeats up. With the repeats maxed it does nice noises, that you can pop sounds into with the "A" or "B" button. And it's great it gets really short delay times (with sync off) for flange and chorus sounds. Nice touch, having the little oscilloscope in the knob, that shows what is in the delay buffer.

  • I can't believe how much fun this app can be. I have been happily lost in this for the past two days. Today, I have been sampling the sounds of print shop machinery. Developer Karl is both a gentleman and a genius.
I am eagerly awaiting any upcoming IAPs in order to show my support. Now, back to the fun...

  • Just adding AudioShare and we'll be on our way! Link is implemented! (video)

  • Does WerkBench still need WIST? I'm not against leaving it in but I guess it's broken on newer systems?

thought you meant sum ting else

  • all I want now besides what's already planned is to be able to put a skin full of plants on it, and bask in the contentment.

  • edited September 2017

@kobamoto - ok plants! I could make it so that you replace three assets: static background, lower background skin, and upper background skin and it just loads them in. Also just checked it out tonight: WerkBench and Patterning play beautifully together!

  • @KarlBolasol just thinking- would it be possible to > @KarlBolasol said:

If you're looking for a place to put the Link button— yes, put it where the Wist button is. No one uses it anymore.

Welcome back. I hope the new update brings success enough for you to stick around and make many more great apps. I have a bunch of greedy new tweaks for WB I would like, but I'll hold myself back for now.

  • AudioShare and Link are implemented. Shipping tomorrow or Saturday after some tests :)
