Wow. I knew they were teasing something new, but I thought it was an updated iMPC pro. In my wildest dreams I could not imagine how an updated audiocopy could be useful.
Disappointed that it’s not iMPC Pro. Oh well I guess BM3 it is.
Would be rad if it was just them releasing a fork of the Audioshare SDK.
Awesome, can't wait. Will this one Uninstall at twice the speed of the last version?
I expect more news, social sharing, and advertisements. I'll apologize on this forum publicy if it isn't true.
Never use it nowadays
it's a tough room, ymmv
I guess it will have support for drag and drop which would be welcome.
No one knows even what the update will bring to the table, so saying anything negative is just plain stupid.
I thought you guys like retronyms now that they are adding audiobus to their apps?
People can be unnecessarily rude on this forum and there is zero moderation on it. People can mudsling at each other and devs on here whenever they want
So sad
If it is indeed an update to AudioCopy I can be forgiving if I get input monitoring for sampling/recording, support for multiple bit-depths and sample-rates. 'iTunes Import' using the turn-table and total iOS11 Files.app integration including drag'n'drop from/to ACP4.
Top of the icing would be IAA and AUv3 hosting for 'sampling'...
I was honestly thinking it would be 'Tabletop 3' with AUv3 support
Now, that's a good quip. Hearty chuckle
Wait, is this true? Can't find anything about it...
I guess it will have support for drag and drop which would be welcome.
Check AppStore descriptions I guess
I saw it mentioned on this forum but can’t remember where
Facts in the age of Trump:
• crazy, on-the-face-of-it impossible assertion.
• incredulous reaction by those who thought they understood reality.
• maker of crazy, on-the-face-of-it impossible assertion: I don't know, you Google it.
Well Looperverse works in Audiobus and Retronyms make that......
Fair point. I thought we were talking about iMPC pro. And for the record, I like Retronyms.
Im just not a fan of their apps, as far as I know they have Audiobus in one of their apps? They are so late to the table when it comes to Audiobus and Im more interested in Audio Units now and I dont see them getting on board that train anytime soon, and Audiocopy just seems to slow down my workflow, its feels like its just want to sell me samples these days.
the question is who's been waiting for ACPY4? On this forum I think nobody. Guess they will put in some functions that Audioshare had for a long time. Would like to see these devs concentrating on do some more developement on iMPC and Looperverse that said, both apps could also have a price-cut by 75% as long as they are not really serious developed any further.
I'll drink to that
Exactly. All this countdown for audiocopy update. I wanted and was hoping iMPC will get full suppport, AU, Audiobus, full mpc export, 1 bar, all the stuff that @Samu wanted. I really want iMPC Pro to be better but I don’t think it will ever get where we want.
As always, the same story with retronyms. Search the history of this forum and stop hoping, I’d say...(my 2ct.)
If they nail the bi-directional Files.app integration with ACP4 there might be some hope for it...
Guess we'll see when the ACP4 update drops...
(I doubt it's a completely new app as that would nullify all ACP purchased content).
Not necessarily, I have transferred content between apps from 4pockets and IK multimedia in the past.
Sure it's possible to 'copy & export' the content but I was thinking of actually 'restoring IAP purchases' directly into a new app.
Let's say you purchase stuff using AudioCopy 3 and delete the app. If the 'new' AudioCopy app has a new 'App ID' you will not be able to restore the IAP content since it was purchased with the old app that has a different 'App ID'...
To be fair, after Retronyms released Looperverse we told them that was awesome but we wanted them to fix AudioCopy. Well they listened evidently and did that. Jury is out until the release to see if it actually doesn't suck.
I know what you were talking about
When stompbox Band was released iap effects previously purchased in stompbox were made available within stompbox band.
Likewise if you buy the standalone amplitube apps and register them you can unlock the matching effects in the full version of amplitube
Thinking about it the ability to unlock gadgets in gadget and tabletop versions of tabletop devices by buying the full app come under the same general concept.
Those solutions & concepts fall outside the IAP concept and require developers to host alternate registration services. Checking if an app is installed on the device is another method but that doesn't transfer IAP history over to the new app.(meaning in order to 'unlock' the features after re-installations those apps that are needed for unlock need to be re-installed).
If my gut is right on ACP4 it will include Files.app integration making backups easy without the need to use iTunes or iFunBox.
I've always liked some areas of AudioCopy.app (sample-editing being one of them).
