ACPY4 will be fun to check out but the most amusing thing is the slogan used on the page 'September to Remember'
(ie. when when nothing new was delivered).

    LMAO

The bitching towards retronyms continues yet no one yet knows what audio copy version 4 will bring

The politeness of this forum and respectful and constructive criticism are very almost non existent.

Can we not have the facts first then discuss then?

I often wonder about why they have not fully embraced audiobus, perhaps they are hesitant to provide what you want because of the way they are talked about on here...

    1. AudioCopy isn't very good so we have a track record.
    2. They should be happy they're in the discussion at all. It shows we still care about their success.
    3. Politeness is relative. If I recall you've been a bit rude yourself in the past.

I have to agree. Retronyms has a long track record of hyping products, releasing teaser videos followed by delays and then releasing cool, but buggy apps. The problem is that they begin working on other projects shortly after the initial cash grab while neglecting to address problems with their current projects. Customers often have to wait literally years for basic fixes and features.

A prime example is iMPC Pro. It was one of my favorite apps. despite the lack of numerous key features and instability. The release of the feature-packed Beatmaker 3 and subsequent, regular updates has revealed a stark contrast between focused, committed developers and developers who seem to revel in releasing new products every few months. Quality vs. Quantity.

My feelings exactly. iMPC Pro has so many amazing qualities. The gestures on the midi roll are really clever and well thought out. But you're right: It seems that the company has decided that there's a window for making money, and it's a waste to update incrementally. It's a real shame, but it's a business, and their model clearly is to sell sound packs. That said, I'd happily pony up $9.99 or whatever for an iMPC Super Pro, something with a better sampler and parameter locks.

  • The app audio copy may not be so great, nor is it essential for the acp protocol.

As far as I see, a lot of people use acp/ general pasteboard and “open in” still

For all we know, retronyms may have figured a batch export feature

Hehe, that's one of the reasons I've been advocating 'iOS Document Picker' and 'Open In...' for ages.
It's Apples 'standard way' of sharing files between apps.

Now we'll just have to wait for apps to implement drag'n'drop support but that in turn would mean dropping legacy pre iOS11 support and that will cause quite a stir among those who are hostile towards keeping the OS on their devices up-to-date ;)

Wow... I haven’t thought of that. What a mess.
Either Apple has no strategy forward or they are completely Nazi.
    I think they’re both

Anyway, I’m glad I didn’t update my 12,9 to the 2017 version... I don’t hear anything but trouble, when I was expecting a massive choir of hallelujah over everything it could do. Big disappointment.
