@KlaatuNinja other best feature is the fact that when I open an App inside Mastermind the Synth don't really open (if you see in background there is nothing)....I think for Cpu is a master feature...
Adil, there's more info on Disschord about this....

@Rhism: Interesting post. Retronyms was really smart with Tabletop. The virtual hardware devices paradigm makes it simple to maintain a continual income from the app.
Even smarter is their push for "Tabletop ready" apps like iMini and iMPC. Granted, both of those were developed by Retronyms for other companies, but it's interesting that they got big names like Arturia and Akai on board with the idea. I wonder who else they'll convince to make their app/brand a part of the Tabletop ecosystem?
@DaveMagoo, I have the same issue. If Nave starts first everything is fine, when you introduce another app it does as you said. I emailed Retronyms about this. I'll pass on any info I get.
I knocked a nice little loop together last night using TT and IAA, had iMini, Magellan's Organ App (I've forgotten the name) and Nave all running together alongside some of the in-app instruments. I had a few crashes of TT and a few weird things with Nave and Alchemy but formed the view that it's early days and to be expected. What I do like about TT is that it's so easy to get multiple instruments all working together in time with one another - something I've personally found challenging to achieve outside of TT. The TT sequencer thing is really crap though, and I'd love them to support audiobus. Also I was a bit disappointed you can't record from the same app that you are sending midi to. I was hoping to send midi notes to i-mini and record the resulting audio but couldn't seem to achieve this.
@trackwerker I don't understand what you mean. You can record the audio.
@mgmg4871 I got some message along the lines of "you can't use a node that's already in use" - I'll try again when I get home from work tonight.
You can't have 2 instances of a IAA app. For example if you open 2 instances of Mastermind, you can't use Nave in both of them, but you can use another IAA app.
A workaround for the Nave issue is to open it in Zignal and the other IAA apps in Mastermind.
Really getting into Tabletop today with all the new IAA etc. one drawback it punishes my CPU if I try to put to many modules and especially effects in. I've tried using the recorder to record at set points and use that as a new module to play back and closing down the other instruments to cut the load on the CPU but you can't get the recorder to loop or record it from the main record button. Does Tabletop have a looper module that you can use for this purpose?
You have to use the Triggerator, but what do you mean by "you can't get the recorder to loop or record it from the main record button"?
If I was to chose between buying the complete bundle or a carefully hand picked best of the bunch what would anyone recommend in terms of the individual upgrades on offer ?
I don't think il bother with any of the synths but are the effects any good or the other bits n bobs ?
@DaveMagoo - I'm curious about this too, which effects are best or most necessary versus buying the bundle, which I might add doesn't come with everything
The bundle comes with 16 units for $24.99 US. After doing the math if you choose say 4 units you're probably losing money. The boomroom reverb is not included in bundle and a couple of other units. There is a IAA effects module coming and you could wait for AUFX though. If You just wanted 1 good one it would be Boomroom reverb.
I bought the whole bundle some time ago when it was 50% off, not sure if it still on sale. Love the FX and the compressor where you can side chain . Boom room is a must in tabletop
It's 57% off now.
I'm tempted with the 3 mastering ones.....
Then again Morris has a point about losing money, wait a minute.....won't I be saving money if I only buy a couple....hmmm..
Mgmg4871 By the recorder, I mean the M2 recorder rather than the main recorder function at the top of the app. Just trying to cut down on modules thus CPU workload by saving recorded layers then replaying them in the mix. Shame the app can freeze recordings at a set point like Auria, Cubasis.
@Jumpercollins Zignals is the new audio recorder that loops IAA apps
I got a response from Retronyms about the Nave issue.
Hi Morris,
Glad to hear you're enjoying IAA! I'm afraid it's a bug in Nave's MIDI implementation that's causing the trouble.
Sincerely,
Rebekah
Retronyms
My question is why does.Nave operate flawlessly in Looptical?
The of Nave id Pitch Bend and are fixed and weating for review by Apple now...
Question with the new mastermind IAA intrument controller. Does it use a Standard CC mapping for use with all available Synths?
Anyone experienced TT crashing when saving and closing ?
@DaveMagoo yes, everytimes...
Did anyone here made a session with two iMini?
Every time I load it TT playback sound goes on or off until I zoom on iMini.
After zooming playback return to normal.
What are the compatible apps with mastermind? It says is supposed to be a list of apps u can buy, but I don't see the list whenever I click the tab or whatever
Mastermind is only compatible with IAA supported apps. NLog, Nave, Alchemy, Megellan, Galileo Organ, Beat Vibe, and Beat Time.
@shay I have one with 2 imini's working fine but it also has 3 Masterminds with Alchemy, Magellan & Nlog and when I load the session in TT all 3 synths exit all 3 masterminds once the TT app has initialised the session
Maybe i'm wrong but i thought its not possible to save Nodes within a project!?
