Thanks. I followed the steps but when I stretch the end marker all the way it still says 2 slices and I can’t change it to 1. Now when I select the hold option in tweak, it will loop but it doesn’t loop once I let go of the pad. Am I missing a step?
That # won’t change to one.
You’re not missing a step the clip will only loop when the pad is held or when using the sequencer is “written” across the timeline as long as you want the looping to continue
Weird thing is that there’s another loop that does play and loop although the sequencer is stopped and I only press it once. I’ll try to figure this thing out. Thanks though.
Hmm. Is it a loop you made or one from a store pack?
It’s a store pack loop.
Weird, in my “All Sounds” folder the sample clearly shows as a loop. I loaded it up on a new pad and it worked. It looped even if I didn’t press play on Transport. Weird thing is that when I went and try to do the same with another one now they don’t loop unless I hold the pad. I’ll report this to the dev team.
Weirdness...
I recorded a short video and sent it to JP or Taylor. Hopefully they can sort it out. I just had a loop going then added another one to a new pad and although it’s the exact same loop same settings it wouldn’t auto loop like the first one.
Hello I just downloaded the bundle and this seems like one of the best place I've found to ask a few questions about said app. I think i may have figured out the answer to one question i have so far but need confirmation ..If I chop a file of my own and want to filter or reverb every of said chopped pads its best to make a track for just the chops and filter them all them all through the mixer ? If i chop up my own break or sample do I always need to add the mute groups my self ? And also is there a way to copy a pad and chop with the settings saved from the pad the I just copied ? And last do i need to change the pitch before i chop ? can I change the pitch of all the chops in a bank at once ? This really dose look like a nice app all in all ...Thanks for any help
I still don’t understand why I still have trouble opening mpc desktop export file from both iMPC Pro and Pro 2. This is ridiculous, first the export import from Pro 1 to Pro 2 is broken. I haven’t been able properly import a working file yet. You have to re-arrange the song from Pro 1 to Pro 2 cuz it’s different. A bunch of glitches and popping sounds in pro 2 from said imports. So no desktop export, no iMPC Pro 2 import. I don’t get it? Who’s testing these things and saying that it works? I’ve done with projects containing samples and no samples. This is frustrating.

Hi @hansjbs, have you opened a ticket with our support team? I'm sorry the export/import feature of pro 2 and pro are not working as they should. I'd like to know more about the problems you're experiencing, as this is not a bug that has been reported. Are you saying when you archive (in Pro 1)>use iTunes file share to move into iMPC Pro 2>import in Pro 2 the SEQ are not arranged correctly? Do all SEQ load? Thanks - Niki
Hey @Shakeydog thanks for reaching out.
-Creating 1 track for all reverb/chops is what I would do.
-Yes, you'll need to add the mute groups yourself.
-Unfortunately, there is no way to auto copy parameters (tuning/panning/etc) from one pad to another
-You can change the pitches of all sounds at once by selecting all the notes in the timeline and changing the tuning. Note, if you do this on the timeline, the actual pad parameter will not change, just the selected notes.
Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
-Niki
Hi Niki,
Yes export and import using itunes. All sequences load but there's a pop and lag before each sequences play whether in song mode or not. I've exported a few and have the same results.
Why I didn't open a ticket? Well I was and still am on the beta for impc pro not pro 2 and bugs that I used to report didn't get fix. I use impc for mostly sampling and always had issues with impc pro to desktop software translation. Weird that I'm the only one sampling with impc to transfer to mpc software
@hansjbs Thanks for the response. Also, thanks for being one of our beta testers. We're working hard to reproduce & fix all the bugs reported. If there are specific bugs (other than what we're talking about here) that have not been addressed I am happy to give you an update on their status.
To clarify, you're not the first to report iMPC > MPC transfer issues. I just got my hands on the desktop software so hopefully, I can get some testing/bug logging done this week. You are the first to report issues with transferring between Pro 1 and Pro 2.
I see you're using an Air 2 (11.2.5). Can you give me a summary of characteristics of the songs giving you trouble?
Basically, do you experience problems with 2 SEQ, 2 Track songs or is the bug more prevalent in 10 SEQ songs with over 3 tracks including AU, IAA, Etc.
Thanks again, Niki
Thanks Niki. All my tracks have multiple sequences. I can try later on
So AKAI MPC says, “bring your own controller and come”.. Seems like the best solution from the iPad to,the desktop...

@Retronyms Hi, recently I’ve bought the new iMPC 2 and Was surprised I can’t find a way how to edit a melody recorded with a sample loaded on one pad with 16 levels of tuning.
The melody is playing but in the timeline or track it still looks like a single note. Is there a way how to easily change the notes/write your own melody with this technique?
I know that BeatMaker 3 has a piano icon in the top right corner which expands the track to a piano roll so I’m wondering whether I’m missing something or is this feature missing even in v2?
Thanks
Hey @DavvidB thanks for writing us! It sounds like you're trying to adjust the tuning or the timing of the sample you recorded with 16 levels? If you go to the timeline view and select a note a menu will pop up where you can adjust the tuning, velocity, and other parameters of that specific note. Let me know if this isn't what you're trying to achieve! Best - Niki (:
Finally thinking about pulling the trigger on this as BM3 has become too unstable for me.
Before I do, would somebody be so kind as to answer:
@nrgb files support is still being testing within iMPC Pro 2. As for resampling AUs. You can do this on a blank drum track. If you have a lot of tracks you will have to solo the AU track to record the resampling and then cut to a perfect loop in the sound editor. You can also export AU stems into AudioCopy and then paste them back into the app.
Hope this helps!
Best,
Niki
I'm glad I read the app store reviews before buying...
Sounds like quite a few bugs are still present?
Perhaps this is still a 'wait and see' app?
I am actually waiting for a sale too. I bought some of the loop masters packs they have in their audio copy app and I hope there is a great, easy, fast solution to use these in a creative way with their new iMPC.
The workflow for other apps to implement these sounds and loops is a pita. Saw some videos and iMPC looks promising.
@Retronyms
Where can I find the pdf manual before I purchase the app?
Does it have:
Does anyone know how to export midi from iMPC Pro 2 ?
@SlowwFloww sorry for the delay!
---->Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean by "fast" can you please clarify?
---->Yes
---->Yes, using the slice to loop feature in the sound editor.
---->No.
---->No.
---->Yes.
---->Yes.
Thanks,
Niki
@Retronyms
Is it possible to export the midi notes in the tracks in IMPC Pro 2?
The archive funktion seems to only export midi controller data?
I believe this is a typo on our part. Sorry about that.. you may be able to get MIDI from the MPC desktop export (on your computer).
-Niki
Ok, thank you, I will try to find another solution, I don't have a computer, only an iPad 😊
Maybe the RouteMidi auv3 app will work.
Is the bundle gone? I own the first impc pro but would love a discount on the second.
If not I'll still purchase impc pro 2 but was just wondering if a discount was available out there.
Thank you!
Not really sure, although the bundle was really designed for previous owners of iMPC pro. The iPhone version is being released on Dec 10th and is available for presale for $5 though.
