It’s on Sky I think.
I watched the first couple of episodes but couldn’t get into it, but just read some rave reviews on the Guardian. Still have a couple taped, so might give it another go tonight, while Mrs Monzo is out watching an ABBA tribute band.
Either that or I’ll plunge into Alan Moore’s Jerusalem (book 3) with a bottle of boozes.
Adds unexpected note to file.
😂
Riiiight
I think Watchmen is okay, but compared to the source material it's pretty light weight. It certainly doesn't feel necessary, or like it's adding anything to the original. And I suspect the latest twist is going to completely miss the point of one of the themes of the original comic. Meh.
Watching Mr Norrell and Jonathan Strange with one of my kids. A lot of fun. Also catching up with the last series of the Detectorists. That show is scary realistic... Also been catching up on SE Asian action and horror flicks. Man Indonesia is really happening these days.
Ended up watching the harrowing You Were Never Really Here. For probably the first time ever, I scanned the credits to see who did the music, and turns out it was Jonny Greenwood (Radiohead). Clever bugger.
Every Lynne Ramsey does is good.
It is totally unnecessary, doesn’t add anything to the original and does not represent the themes of the original. I love it.
Mr. Robot continues to be amazing this season.
One of my favorite series of all time. Really enjoyed Boardwalk Empire as well.
I did my third rewatch about this time last year.
MrsChasteen wanted to know what the fuss was all about. So, I showed her S1 E5 “College” because I thought it was a great standalone episode for someone unfamiliar with the series.
Of course, after that little taste, I was ready to dive back in for a third full dose. Now, seems like a perfect time to begin a fourth go round very soon. One thing that I am struck by during every rewatch of the series is how important Meadow is to the narrative. She is the moral witness of the series.
Agreed, but she's so annoying![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Must say that despite it being released more than twenty years ago (Pilot was Jan 1999) isn't at all dated. Such a brilliant conceit and so well written.
Just finished bingeing the 4th season of The Expanse... liked it, but man, are they ever concatenating the books to fit WAY more into the show. Maybe they’re trying to keep the suspense high to have a chance at another season. The series veers fairly wide of the mark from the novels, but it is still a really well done production.
In a way, it's starting to remind me of GOT which also deviated mightily from the books. But whereas I highly doubt GRR Martin will ever give us the last two books of GOT, James S.A.Corey (actually two authors) are still writing (yay!).
If you haven’t read the books which comprise 8 novels and 8 short stories, with the final novel expected in 2020, and if you’re a hard-core space opera fan, def check the books out.
This is exactly the kind of perfectly silly stuff I have NO CHANCE of explaining 'but why is it funny' to most of the 327.2 million people who currently reside here with me in America.
The Office(U.S. version)
Just watched the Chernobyl miniseries. It was gripping and brutal.
Don’t Fuck With Cats was rough, man. Good documentary though.
I was reading an interview with Vic/Jim the other day, and he said he’d started it out as an art project, after being inspired by Gilbert and George, but it evolved into something else when Bob joined.
I’d love to be a person watching this fresh with no knowledge of what they do. ‘What the actual f...’
I remember the first series on telly. There’d be about twenty five people crammed into the tiny front room of the town flat I was renting. We’d watch it and then go to the pub all weirded up.
The Witcher is now available on Netflix !! Can't wait to look it (big fan of witcher saga, readed books maybe 10x :-)))
Fantastic ( if you like that sort of thing )
Just finished watching The Virtues.
Gritty, bleak, 4 part UK drama from Shane Meadows last year.
Won't be everybody's cup of tea, but a mesmerising performance from Stephen Graham.
Wow.
Watching “You” Entertaining. somewhat like “Dexter”, but with less blood
Rewatched “No Direction Home” Still outstanding
“Don’t Fuck With Cats” Well done
A half-dozen old episodes of “Columbo” Delightful
1- upstream color.
2- you were never really here
3- good time
4- the master
all good
“Falling For A Killer”
just started episode 3
Agree. Stephen Graham is a God. He’s been getting a fair amount of grief for his Welsh accent in White House Farm:

Personally I think it’s cute and the whole of Wales should adopt it.![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Genndy Tartakovsky's Primal
was amazing:)

Haha. Yeah I'm watching this. I had noticed the accent wavering a bit.![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
I've watched this (the full thing, recorded from TV) about ten times now (that old OCD kicking in again Bub), again a couple of nights ago. Trailer:
