  • Another one on the BBC iplayer, probably other places too, ‘the beach’ about an Australian film maker who lives in an isolated shack by the sea. He’s an interesting and funny character who swears at his chickens a lot and cooks really good food every episode. It’s just a really nice atmosphere in a beautiful location 😁

I couldn't get into the few seasons of Vikings, and I don't know anything about the historical side of things. Just got too cheesy, and honestly Floki drives me crazy.

    Season 6 is Floki-free.

    Ok, mostly

Not a good enough reason to force yourself to watch the show.

I just started the new season of The Expanse and its refreshing to watch a high-quality live-action show for a change.

The Expanse is my fav sci fi show of the last few decades. It’s neck and neck with the classics for best of all time. I could just go on and on about the characters, the more realistic technology and physics, and Avasarala’s sexy smoker grandma voice lol

Dirty Sexy Money, a primetime soap I missed on during its broadcast years. Great cast headed by Jill Clayburgh and Donald Sutherland. Cameo by the one and only Steve Jones as himself.
The trials and tribulations of the NYC super wealthy.
It’s absolute trash, and would be disappointing if not. Really enjoying it for what it is.

    The Missus says thanks :)

  • The GF and I have been binge watching The Handmaid’s Tale.

Watched season 1, 2, and have 3 episodes of season 3 left to go...

Normally not my kind of thing, but I started watching it with the GF and got roped in. It’s really good!

  • Another great season for The Expanse. Hard to fathom that the show got cancelled a couple of years back.

  • Yeah. Though I had to read up on the back story of why you know who left so quickly in the last episode of Expanse. Seemed damn sudden, but it makes sense now.

This season was awesome though, really well done. Haven't seen Sci Fi this good since the second Battlestar Galactica came out.

Same. Was just talking to another fan who said they better not kill off Avasarala any time soon.

I'm also watching an anime that presents a very, very different version of a future Mars. Fun times.

Ditto, only learned about that today after watching final episode. Yikes.

I finally watched what you guys were talking about. I liked that character. Too bad the actor had to (allegedly) misbehave like that.

  • I missed Genghis Tron. So happy that they’re back.

  • Rewatching "Yes, Minister". It's old but hasn't lost a step at all.

Still utterly relevant and on point.

  • Watching as many films as I can out of this collection, before the Feb. 25 expiration date

    https://www.japansociety.org/page/programs/film/21-century-japan-films-2001-2020

  • Nightflyers on NetFlix. A wonky space sci-fi from the GoT guy.

    Vikings.

Star Trek: Discovery (I’m on season one but this is prolly the worst ST yet).

  • Finally got around toThe lighthouse (my movie of the year) and Midsomar (whoa).

  • If that happened to me I'd show no mercy...

  • Watching the film Listen To The Universe despite the lukewarm reviews. The subject matter (classical piano competition) just interests me too much.

  • Forty year old version is one of the best movies I’ve seen in years. It’s on Netflix.

  • I really enjoyed the first season of Raised by Wolves on HBO Max was really good. It’s a Sci-fi, action, thriller, type show.

But think about it. Latency free earbuds vs. lame-ass BS I'd be really...
For listening it's quite ok but for any kind of real-time stuff mehhh.

BT Audio needs to go away and be replaced by something better.
A 'standard' with no real-time priority for uncompressed audio is never going to be latency free.

It will be 'fun' to see what happens with the next 'budget' iPad, will it retain the 3.5mm jack?
If the 3.5mm jack goes away Apple can say bye bye to iPads in education.

    Time will tell...
