  • Queen’s gambit, great storytelling and performances, top drawer set and world design, cinematography and lighting off the scale.

An 80s TV show starring Joe Pesci, Victoria Jackson, Dean Martin and K.I.T.T, yes, the car (54:35)

    WTF? 🤣

Good Lord, that dog is Spuds MacKenzie. Its like Family Guy made this show.

    That deserves another 🤣

  • Raised By Wolves!!! (HBO). Not usually a huge sci-fi fan - but the first 2 episodes have been GREAT! Directed by Ridley Scott (1st 2 eps) and executive producer by him too. Really interesting & original story - and things take an unexpectedly bloody turn at the end of ep 1. Highly recommended if you want to watch some great sci-fi

Come on man, to each their own. Nothing wrong with a little scifi.

That was a lot better and more enjoyable than I expected. Predictable, but well done.

  • I need to give Raised By Wolves another go I think. I tried that one but couldn't even make it through the first episode, seemed almost campy.

Dude - did you make it to the end? Things take a turn in the last 10-15 mins

  • Had a giggle at this :D

  • Stardust

Far worse than you have imagined

  • Ratched.
    I’m quite enjoying it
    Great cast.
    Sumptuous visuals.
Perfect combination of high melodrama and borderline camp.

  • Good breakdown of Blue Monday :)

  • Devs (at last). Loved it. Alex Garland is pretty much always on the money though. Made me want to watch Maniac again oddly

  • Looper again with the Kid. Found it even more entertaining than the first time around...

  • My copy of Roman Polanski’s ‘The fearless vampire hunters’ has just arrived. So I’ll be watching it later. I hope it’s as good as I remember it as a kid.

If you haven’t already, check out “Transmissions: The Definitive Story of Joy Division & New Order“ in your podcast player of choice.

Obviously this is audio only but I thought it was really good. Narrated by the wonderful Maxine Peake.

  • Tripping with Nils Frahm, unfortunately it’s on its last few hours it’s on mubi, nice live gig in Berlin filmed very nicely...

  • Cobra Kai. I had zero interest, but put it on as background tv over the holidays and damned if it didn’t grow on me. The acting is bad, the story kinda predictable, and it feels like a bad 80s show overall - but it has a certain charm. It’s fun in a turn off your brain watching kind of way.

  • ‘Your Honour’ on Crave. Wow, this is awesome. Five episodes in and SO strong. I love that it is a limited series too so it won’t drag on and turn into a bloody soap opera. This Bryan Cranston fellow has a future (nyuk, nyuk)...

  • Mythic Quest. Funny as hell.

  • It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia

  • Twilight zone. The original.

It was campy and imo very poorly edited and written. I had higher hopes for a Ridley Scott directed show.

  • I’m just watching ‘The nine lives of Ozzy Osborne’. Fascinating. Great TV.
