  • Yes. (I thought I posted it here but apparently not.)

As it turns out, the mixing panel in question no longer exists. It was an old version of the current one that you access by clicking the lambda Symbol. It sounds like they took a fair bit of functionality out of the program by changing it, I wonder why …

Still, it is a great app. My favorite. I don’t know much about mixing, so maybe in the right hands it’s as capable still as the old version.

how to use it with a dawlike workflow of xequence

Although I already knew how to use Xequence 2 with apeMatrix... I appreciate your no nonsense, get to the point approach to your demo videos. Thanks! :)

Hey @skiphunt, I am using this post to get your attention, because I all of a sudden can't find you other ApeMatrix post I actually wanted to ask about.

In that one, you discovered a master / gain panel that was accessed by clicking "three dots" somewhere... is that feature still in AM? I can't find that panel anywhere... I'm using an ipad mostly, but also have AM on iphone...

Thanks, but that is a different panel than the one I'm curious about. The one I reference above has a master gain that affects all three matrices, I believe... and other controls not present in the Post-processing window. A screenshot is somewhere in this thread...

Don’t have a clue.. now I want to know it too. If you get some feedback from the dev let us know!

    You betcha

I emailed the Dev... Meanwhile, I have a sneaking suspicion that the panel you thought I was talking about is actually a newer version of it. If so, it's very different from the original one, but the help manual supports this suspicion. I'll let you know if I learn anything.

You could be right about that, but the more I think about it, we SHOULD have a overall master gain WITH the possibility to add fx, to glue the three matrixes together (final mastering fx). I export the recordings now to Cubasis for that reason. It would be great if we could complete everything in Apematrix.

    Agree completely.

    Any info/update from Apematrix?

Thanks. I think I am going to contact them as well, to stress that it’s important to have one main level and fx control for all matrixes.

  • I got an email back from Alessandro and he wrote ‘you’re right! thanks for the tip.’
So hopefully he will implement it! 🤞

That would be great. It will be a dark day indeed when AM is updated for the last time.
