Not a VirSyn sampler per chance??

    Awsome @VirSyn

Anyone got ETA as it looks quite finished :)

Will it do Velocity->Sample Start and allow actual sampling and sample editing?
Or allow some crazy loop start/position/lenght automation while the sample plays?
What about 'pitch interpolation modes' (I'm one of those crazies who prefer 'no interpolation' for some added extra crunch when pitching down samples).

    Bring it on!

  • LET THE FEATURE REQUEST TSUNAMI COMMENCE!

  • I do like the green on black homage to the original Fairlight :)

@brambos no, it will be perfect on launch!

A sampler for all iOS platforms is a big project - especially under the severe resource limitations of AUv3 - therefore we decided to leave out three features, and that are exactly the three you've mentioned ;-)
But a very comfortable sample recorder is on board of course ( also as Music Effect AU... )

And it is planned as a ongoing project as we expect a feature tsunami and hope we've protected us good enough.

Anyway since the release is VERY soon, going back to preparation.

Cool and it includes Files.app support too for importing & exporting samples I presume?
(Not many AUv3's do that yet but it is doable).

Cool, since I'm old-school tracker junkie my sampler reference is based on Renoise & SunVox :)
(I jumped of joy when I heard SunVox will go AUv3 at some point).

Anyway since the release is VER soon, going back to preparation.

Cool, when the Appstore link drops I'll be ready with some store-credits ;)

    Cheers!

Ditto, I also like the Ableton Simpler so it looks like we'll be able to smash two flies at the same time ;)

Let the wait for the AppStore link commence :D

You say VERY soon all caps, does that mean today or tommorow?

  • Speaking of ReSlice ,will it be possible now to record audio as AU ?

@Brambos should really take up the challenge... it's the one major (huge!) gaping hole in the iOS music market. Nobody needs yet another analog synth emulation from the 80s ;)

The constant barrage of feature requests & bug fixes would probably be the end of him! ;)

Like they say in German... "Life's not a pony farm"! :)

That's a very strong english accent for a german :D

Really hoping the bm3 update sees the sampler get some love. Feels like it’s been left behind a little since launch. Start/end/loop point modulation/automation would be very cool, especially combined layers...fingers crossed..

Would love that as well. Something tells me that enabling that feature would have a maximum sample length restriction. I am sure that could be possible though.

the same... but slightly less patiently..

see you at the Graham Massey/Roland fanboy event.. we can both demand Roland get in the ios game properly.. perhaps Graham will be kind enough to back us up..
I’m surprised you didn’t know PMT existed.. but it was called Sound Control all through the 90’s so maybe you knew it as that.

I've driven along that road so many times and just did not know it was there....I used to work at the Quays....it would have given me something to do at lunchtimes if i'd known :D

We could fire up our apps of choice, sync with link...and ask him if he wants to join in with his shiny new 808 clone thingy (which it can't), that might do the trick :D

  • Hmm, kinda interesting speculation but looking at the picture there's a 'Mix Sum' option?

In theory, if we had multiple layers (each with their 'envelopes-n-stuff') it could yield pretty interesting synthesis results by using multiple modes for 'mixing' (Add, Subtract & Multiply) for neat synthesis chaos.
(Ie. have a single-cycle wave on one layer and multiply it with another for ring-mod chaos).

My guess is between $14.99-$19.99 with intro price at $9.99 but that's just guessing...
(Considering ReSlice is $14.99 it would make sense).

Also if it uses any kind of licensed time-stretch stuff it might go up...
