Cool! Came late to the party... is there are pricetag known for the new Virsyn?

My guess is between $14.99-$19.99 with intro price at $9.99 but that's just guessing...
(Considering ReSlice is $14.99 it would make sense).

Thanks mate! 9.99 if I find a good usecase are quickly drowned :)

There is a difference between this and reslice?! Reslice was not my cup of T

Not a VirSyn sampler per chance??

    Awsome @VirSyn

Anyone got ETA as it looks quite finished :)

Will it do Velocity->Sample Start and allow actual sampling and sample editing?
Or allow some crazy loop start/position/lenght automation while the sample plays?
What about 'pitch interpolation modes' (I'm one of those crazies who prefer 'no interpolation' for some added extra crunch when pitching down samples).

    Bring it on!

A sampler for all iOS platforms is a big project - especially under the severe resource limitations of AUv3 - therefore we decided to leave out three features, and that are exactly the three you've mentioned ;-)
But a very comfortable sample recorder is on board of course ( also as Music Effect AU... )

And it is planned as a ongoing project as we expect a feature tsunami and hope we've protected us good enough.

Anyway since the release is VERY soon, going back to preparation.

    Harry

    Waiting patiently :)

the same... but slightly less patiently..

see you at the Graham Massey/Roland fanboy event.. we can both demand Roland get in the ios game properly.. perhaps Graham will be kind enough to back us up..
I’m surprised you didn’t know PMT existed.. but it was called Sound Control all through the 90’s so maybe you knew it as that.

I've driven along that road so many times and just did not know it was there....I used to work at the Quays....it would have given me something to do at lunchtimes if i'd known :D

We could fire up our apps of choice, sync with link...and ask him if he wants to join in with his shiny new 808 clone thingy (which it can't), that might do the trick :D

Graham will probably be keen, but he will have to dig out his MC-202 and reconfigure the old roland Din-sync to join in!
(hmmm, din-sync to bluetooth... maybe there is a market for such a gizmo.. or does it already exist.)
weirdly I went into PmT for the first time in more than a decade recently. Two of the staff recognised me.. I was gobsmacked they were still working there..

any road... where’s this sampler thingy ... it seems the current drought has definitely effected the Bram-forecasted Feature Request Tsunami so i’ll throw my hat in the ring with a ridiculously simplistic “ping-pong loop” demand :)

So due to the ram limitations samplers are better bound to iOS DAW´s as non AUv3?

It’s easier to deal with a limited amount of memory than a single-instance limitation. Just resist that weird temptation to load full-length audio tracks into a sampler :D

It´s more about velocity layers for me and using several instances.

Good to hear Masterproject is still in the pipeline :)

It's an intro price of $14.99. I don't know what it will be after that. If this thing does what I think it will do, it would be a bargain at $30. Imagine the patch sharing that we could all do with this thing!!! Imagine using one of the modular hosts (AB, AUM, ApeMatrix, etc. and using multiple synths and effects to create monster multi-sample instrument sets! Heck, I'd have as much or more fun just doing that than doing music!

Wow, yeah. I saw the price in the other thread too. By now I am also really hooked :) (like always in this community haha)

  • We are going to need someone to set up a community patch repository with ratings system and instrument-type tags. We are gonna fill that baby up!!!
