@analog_matt is there a way to completely hide the onboard keyboard if one requires and dock another tab in its place.

  • Quick teaser - AUv3 D1 tests last month. When this comes out for AUv3. iPad Sound GAME CHANGER! 😂

While this was an early demo, the app will have all the functionality it has now (Sequencer, LFOs, etc) in AU

  • Bought it yesterday and only briefly had a chance to try it out, but it sounded great. I have to say that as somebody relatively new to synths (as in, I knew nothing about synths until this forum came along several years ago and learned some softsynths on iOS), these apps are incredibly easy to use and a great reference library for classic synths sounds. Thanks!

  • @analog_matt No 2 in the UK store now! :)

  • So does that mean the app generate 6 figures now to support more great things for the AudioKit team ;)

The amount of money generated by popular apps is very low. (Less than 5-figures). My heart goes out to indie devs trying to make it. Because, if this is what a hit looks like, how can any full-time music devs survive?

That being said, we are so grateful for all the support. And, this money will allow AudioKit to pay all its bills, and increase our outreach, and be able to continue to support developers and musicians everywhere. Thanks everyone!

I never really paid attention to chart position chat before. Curious whether these high global chart positions mean that Audiokit just made a killing (I hope so!)? Or that No.1 chart sales = financial peanuts? If the former then sweet! nice one and totally well deserved :) If the latter then curious why devs seem to think there might ever be significant money to be made in iOS?

Yes. In the past some developers says that a short burst to Number 1 doesn´t mean that they got rich.

    5 figures per day? :)
So i hope at least it´s a nice success and the mac version isn´t too far away.

  • Request I have so far:
Switchable filter keytracking. Maybe a toggle button that gives 0%, 50% and 100%.
Have the sequencer as a modulation source. It would be great to create gated filter patterns. Also, detune semitones as a modulation destination for modulated 5ths and 12ths via a square wave LFO.
Phaser speed lower to create really long phaser sweeps. Great for pads.

Not sure how the sound saves work for sharing, but if they work well, this may be a good choice for us AudioBus sound makers to make a Sound Fest pack up?

Preset files are simple, small JSON files. Currently it is possible for patches to be shared with other users.

Why not just create a folder with sub folders in the files app, that would seem to fit with the way the browser is laid out and make sharing entire banks a super breeze ?

It’s not too much of a problem making a new folder from what people would send in. If each person saved exported their folder of sounds to share, it’s quite easy to make a AudioBus folder to share. I’m quite willing to do it with this synth

    You can also share banks.

Plus, the "import" button is smart. It knows whether you're trying to import a patch or entire bank.

Yeah it is easy to use, so I’ve suggested a Sound Fest after our current one is finished.

I am a bit OCD, I like organised files in a folder structure, then i could delete all the pads lol.

FYI for anybody who isn't in to pads, grab this and ignore all the pad talk, its great at keys.

  • Just downloaded and deleted and redownloaded , terrible clicks when changing sounds and sounds like presets are all messed up with weird sounds carrying over to the next preset. Just to let you know downloaded from the Australian App Store.

It’s curious that there is no option to control the LFOs with the mod wheel, the tremolo wheel option seems to be its own thing, independent of the lfo settings, so you can’t add vibrato with the wheel (unless I’m missing something).

Yeah it would be my main sound source if it was AU.

    Bismark is auv3, isn’t it?

But the Roland works brilliantly without being AU

    ...and it is multitimbral.

Yeah, both Bismark & Roland are multitimbral.
There are more of them: iSymphonic, SampleTank, LayR & Sound Canvas are also multicultural

If you know of any other multi-timbrals, I’m interested in knowledge

Korg iM1 is also 8-part multitimbral.

Sorry, I forgot the most blatant one

  • Is there a manual pdf.....this should be always the first thing at release. Is there one?

  • @analog_matt how do I turn off the vinyl like crackling behind the oscillator?

  • @[Deleted User] - Good ear. We added some digital artifacting to give it more of an "authentic" feel. And, sound different from the synth engine in Synth One. It could be dialed back a bit. I'll message you to get your opinions

  • Must say Matthew is amazing he has emailed me several times, seems there is a bug for users on iOS 10.3 ....they are working on fix!

  • 1st place in the Netherlands.... B)

  • Thanks everyone for the feedback.

BTW, I've added more Mod Wheel destinations to my list of things ToDO.
