It's magical
Warm atmosphere, beautiful dnb rhythm
I love birds in the tracks
Great track, man
Thanks a lot, man
Oh, just noticed this
apparently, there was born the mood of this track
great job very atmospheric
thanks for the feedback
I love old school cyberpunk and pixels
as for the musical instruments and the Gadget in particular, I completely agree, I just wanted to point out once again how great it is to work in this app, all that is needed is inspiration
Yep! Actually the whole track was made over a period of a few consecutive days whilst sitting/chilling out on a picnic blanket out in the sun at the local forest during a week’s vacation! Got the bird recordings from a walk around there, and dropped them into the track. It was good to take away part of the forest atmosphere/sounds, capture the mood and make it part of a track to keep as a reminder. Bird songs go nicely with that big Sunrizer pad! 😉👍
This!
+1

Sorry all! Please disregard my entry for this month now. SoundCloud account deleted. Extreme but necessary. Unwanted stalker!
Did you let Sound Cloud know about it (the stalker) before you deleted the account?.....
That’s a shame, can you upload it elsewhere? Dropbox or YouTube perhaps? Or maybe just create a new SoundCloud account?
Yes.
Blocked.
Reported as spam.
Then deleted my account entirely.
This person suddenly started playing my stuff excessively last week starting on Sunday, accessing as a non soundcloud user from a browser.
95 plays in just 4 days!! (I only had 10 tracks on there to listen to!)
Obviously the stats for biggest listener brought their approximate location to the top of the list and to my attention, and I already guessed who it was from the location.
After blocking access to non-soundcloud users, this person then actually created their own Soundcloud account to be able to listen from within the app. So I then set 9/10 tracks to private. Unfortunately I had to leave just my entry for SOTMC open for people on this Forum to be able to play it either from within or outside Soundcloud.
With only this track accessible, this person then dropped a “Like” on it which obviously showed their profile pic in the notifications (yes, I know and recognised they used their real profile pic, as they were previously known to me), confirming my suspicions as to who it was. And confirming that this sudden odd and unexpected appearance was motivated by some kind of weird creepy attention seeking and response from me.
The attention and listening from this person is neither welcome nor wanted, not only because the ridiculous number of plays in only 4 days has dominated and totally ruined the true representation of my stats, but also simply because I don’t want their intrusion into my life. Therefore I had no choice but to delete my entire account.
Thanks for all the plays and support!
I’ll remain on this Forum, for now....
Yes it is a shame, and a big loss and disturbance to me. I was building up my work and my moniker quite well as a personal goal and achievement in my favourite hobby, enjoying the sharing and discussions and support/encouragement with/from other genuine music makers.
I want to keep my moniker, it has become known fairly well now. Therefore YouTube would be a big mistake, as would any other social media, due to the bloody accuracy of online search engines. Every damn footprint on the internet can be traced.
I refuse to change my moniker for a new Soundcloud account or any other account elsewhere. Therefore all my online activties stop right now.
Thankfully I don’t use FB, Twitter, Instagram or any other annoying social media. My general YouTube account might even have to receive a review and a possible cull.
No doubt even my comments left on this Forum can still be found and read from a Google search engine.
I am absolutely furious and seething with rage about this ridiculous sudden and unexpected intrusion from out of nowhere, stalking and spying. I can only guess at this person’s motivations for suddenly appearing and doing so.
I know who it is, and it is very bizarre. I don’t know who the hell they think they are, showing up suddenly like this out of nowhere, or what the hell they think they will achieve by doing so.
Thanks for all the feedback, support and encouragement over the past few months on this great monthly thread. It was valued and much appreciated.
My musical hobby will continue and return to how it started, offline and private, for my own leisure and creative outlet.
Sorry to mess up your thread with this crap.
Cheers and all the best to you and anyone else here who listened to my stuff.
Yes I can understand that.. Probably do the same in fact.... I was also told by a Label I work for, that Soundcloud is changing... If DJ's purchase Native Instruments Traktor DJ Pro 3 (with the hardware) they can have access to Sound Cloud music to stream off (not Pioneer as they didn't buy the Soundcloud License).. Probably why Record labels only release snippets of tracks... Also Soundcloud are want people to upload WAV/AIFF files now instead (maybe for the reason for DJ's streaming onto the Traktor equipment.... They are also trying to encourage people to put there music into Private playlist... So the record labels I work for maybe telling the truth?)

Very topical subject!
It’s hard to know who to believe in this age of fake news.
As for the track itself, very well mixed and clear. I would say it’s very Numan esque.
Have you abandoned guitars completely?
Lovely sounds anyhow!
>
Hey Crony!
Cool set up you have there!
I’m well jell!
I like the balaclava too, punk in its application!
I know it’s the trend with this kind of music, but I think the bass could do with a low cut below 30hz.
Gonna blow my speakers man!
Top tune though!
Mister Studs, completely professional sounding as ever.
I hope you’re living the high life and enjoying it!
Jazz isn’t my bag, but I can appreciate the workmanship in this.
The parts that I liked, reminded me of Yello, back when they were leading the pack back in the 80’s.
Thanks mate.... Living the High Life?...... Nah!..... Living the normal Life, like everyone else.... Same Shit..... But different Day!....
Thanks for the listen I might come back to the guitar one day, just got to find a sound that hasn't been done to death already. I still occasionally use it for leads.
Sorry I meant to reply to this last week, been caught up in mountains of work so it’s hard to keep on top of the forum as well. I’m glad to hear that the club inspires you, and delighted to hear you have a lot going on musically in your life as well.
Keeping this club going has been really worthwhile for me because it’s pushed me to make new music every month, so I’m glad to hear that it’s useful to others as well. Keep at it.
Hi,
Here's a new track, I know, one each month, but the previous one was for October
https://choon.co/tracks/0ebs52slb7h/
So, everything is done with iPads except one bass from a Mininova.
Is it possible to add this track to the Choon Audiobus playlist ?
Being released on November 30 by Shalgam Records. https://shalgamrecords.com/
Created in Beatmaker 3 on an iPad Pro using:
Nice mate.. Reminds me of Jean-Michel Jarre "old school music"....
Thank you very much.
I am 56, so yes, old school, but on an iPad.
Another Life Studs 1966. My favorite this month so far.
@1nsomniak Like the howling sound that lives in the background throughout, it's pretty cool and atmospheric. The track has a kind of edgy vibe with the lead sounds, and then the bass gives it a vaudeville feel, it could be the soundtrack to a quirky horror comedy.
It's a fun track, but it should definitely be edited and trimmed, it would work better as a 3 minute track rather than 5 minutes IMO.
@obijohn It's a prog-rock epic! I could definitely imagine this on some 1970s synth-rock triple album complete with gatefold sleeve.
My personal bias would be to have more space in the melodies and to avoid the major scale, to play in a minor key for a less happy feel, just because the major scale sounds so damn cheery to modern ears. But it's certainly inventive musically, with lots of melodic variety woven around the repeating themes.
The part that sounds almost like whistling is my favourite, it's crazy
@moff Sounds way better than a demo to me
I really like some of the lead sounds, the soft keys that play counterpoint sound really lush, and I also like the Berlin type lead, which adds the melodic interest to the track. And you've got the structure just right, it's not too long.
My only crit would be that the drums lack groove, you can't really tap your toe to them, whereas the musical elements have a great rhythmic flow to them, it would work better (for me) if the drums had that same feel and drove the track along. But the lead instruments are great and the sounds are well-chosen.
56 years old ? Ah, I guess you jumped on Kraftwerk albums also !
Really nice production, neat ambiance, congrats for the release on a label !
Big thanks to all who have listened.
I am old enough to remember Autobahn being released as a single. Made a huge impression on my then 12 year old mind. However. it wasn't until 2010 that I turned my attention to making electronic music.
Though not evident in this track, Tangerine Dream is also a major influence, especially their 70s Berlin School: I am sucker for a great sequenced bass.
OK. So I made my first-ever ambient track in order to give Autony more of a work-out on my iPhone - and because I don't think I'll get a "real" song done this month. It's.... a complete 180 from my submission last month. Again, I have no style. Take that in every way as true. Ha.
All I know is that running all these apps in AUM sucked my iPhone battery down like crazy.

thanks for listening, bro
as for the drum part, I wanted to do something unusual with the rhythm maybe
I always have a problem with drums
