Yeah not alone, I felt beat by this one too

Load a preset, and then import your own sample. Loads of fun doing that.

No Crudebyte sale! For shame, for shame!

I feel your pain. Not like the pain I felt buying all their Piano Models and iSymphonic IAP's and then having to delete them from my iPad due to a lack of storage (128GB went so fast). The Colussus Piano(s) took up about 40GB. They don't report their samples as being included in the storage details... it's just app "data" and eats up your storage without letting you know it's them. I deleted it and suddenly had a ton of GB's free. I still have iSymphonic loaded.

Now that I have a 2TB iCloud account maybe I can re-install and they will just get shoved up into the iCloud after a bit and might re-load in less than an hour rather than the 2 days it took to re-install (just the Brown Grand) on an iPhone 5S cast-off. It still sounds amazing and I do miss those Electric Pianos (Rhodes, Whirly, Yamahas). Better than Neo Soul Studio for my tastes.

Anyway. Suck it up and get one of them for your iPad Pro. The Brown is so good. Maybe on the Pro it will have enough RAM and CPU to be useful in Cubasis. On my 2018 iPad it just crashes itself or the DAW I try to record. That's why the iPhone install is a good idea. I'll record it as an audio signal right into any DAW.

  • Stop buying apps and head over to BM3 for $1 soundpacks! :-)

  • @Redo1 I just picked it up as well. Its interesting.

The link is at the top - there’s hundreds of them and some are really good.

Quanta Synth: It's my favorite $2 synth (today only?). The desktop version is $99 so go figure. If you want it to sound like SpaceCraft hook it up to Rozeta MIDI FX'es and go crazy.

It's AUv3 so run 2 or more of them for a SpaceCraft clone.

Of course, you need an AU Host. It never ends these DIY synth racks. $100 gets you pretty far along compared to the real (great sounding) hardware that breaks constantly. Of course, software breaks constantly too. Something to do with unintended consequences I suspect. Or chaos theory. Or just the fallability of using humans for complex assembly: defects are a given.

Writing here keeps me from finding more sale apps.

Kosmonaut and Discord 4 redundant or naw?

Kosmonaut is one of my most used fx apps

Me too, that and Discord get put on nearly everything.

Which one to buy if you had choose just one?

Discord, as it can do everything from subtle reverb to completely bonkers pitch/filter shifting.

Yeah but so can Kosmonaut. For me, Discord sounds grimier and better suited for darker vibes while kosmonaut capable of that but also brighter vibes? Idk...could be biased. I just got Discord earlier today.

Kronecker is on sale for $5.99 down from $7.99

Been wanting this and nabbed :)

    Kronecker Synthesizer by iceWorks, Inc.
    https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/kronecker-synthesizer/id1371863334?mt=8

Good deal. Easily in my top 3 new apps for 2018!

Ah right, will have to check the vids for this one.

Not sure the online vids reveal the unearthly howls Kronecker can make. I get guitar feedback type swells going with the ticking pitched percussion. Just my cup of tea.

  • I think I should ban myself from the forum. Total BF purchases thus far: $2.99 World pack in SMPlayer. Only a Crudebyte sale can help me now. Christian, if you can read me, an iOS soul is at stake!

  • That doesn't seem be on sale in NZ. Pity, been waiting for that one for a while.

Elastic Drums and Ruismaker FM both on sale, which is the king of synth drums?
I have Ruismaker Noir for the low end.

Elastic drums can get pretty crazy. But in the spirit of the forum I'm about to buy the latter too.

  • ARP odyssey is 14.99 sale price I think, or sale isn’t showing up for me.

    What’s that now?
You have my attention, sir. B)

I bought Kronecker at launch, but did not make much headway with it. It is the only Icegear synth I own, so maybe it wasn’t a good one to learn their methods with.
Going to give Mersenne a shot. Wanted that one for a long while.

Kronecker is the most complex of the IG apps, mostly because it takes a while to understand the layers and how they interact. Mersenne is definitely easier to start with, because it's a single voice. In either one the trick is to figure out the resonator.

  • Anybody know why replicant 2 isn’t on sale?

  • @Redo1 said:

May be my fault. Don’t want to be unfair. Why I said “yet”

More time, more understanding, a bit more enjoyment. Will not give up

I bought it yesterday and really don’t like it.

  • You'll hate me, but Amazon is selling a $100 iTunes gift card for $80.... just saying......

After purchasing some nice FX and specials like Shoom, Sliver, Sparcle and Dadulus I’m also interested in some little helpers for scales and chord progressions.

Chordflow is on Sale (30% off). Is it good?
Any recommendations? There are also other tools available like QuantiChord, ChordMaps2, Navichord, ChordPolyPad.

If you have any suggestions... 😊🙏

    • Navichord is brilliant for song construction
    • Chordbot for a few styles of auto generation and backing by and accompaniment
    • ChordPolyPad for chord inspiration and playback of chords on other synths. It has great midi control and the strum feature is unique.
    • Suggester has all the chords and the roman numerals and midi out and basic bar length tempo settings.

Something more comprehensive you might want to look at is GuideTrack (by Techné Media see Different Drummer)

or go full "theory" with iRealPro or TonalHarmony

and yes Chordflow is good. Not the fastest at banging out chord progressions but totally worth it for all its other features.

Yes all (most?) Korg apps are half price, it’s usually $30.

  • I have been amazingly self restrained this Black Friday season, and have bought only ibassist and a couple of Groovebox drumpacks.
This may actually be due to my not being so self restrained during past sale (and not sale) seasons. I already owned so many of the wonderful apps currently on sale.
I was also fortunate enough to receive a free copy of the new Outta Bass. It's quite good.

    Congrats. :)
I won a copy as well.
    Pretty wicked, that Outta Bass.

  • Did you guys see MidiDesigner 2 is $20, or $5 off normal price.
Also ScytheSynth seems to get cheaper, it is currently $2.
