Not sure the online vids reveal the unearthly howls Kronecker can make. I get guitar feedback type swells going with the ticking pitched percussion. Just my cup of tea.

    What’s that now?
You have my attention, sir. B)

I bought Kronecker at launch, but did not make much headway with it. It is the only Icegear synth I own, so maybe it wasn’t a good one to learn their methods with.
Going to give Mersenne a shot. Wanted that one for a long while.

Totally recommend Ice Gear apps. Check out Lorentz and Redshrike 👍🏼

Kosmonaut and Discord 4 redundant or naw?

Kosmonaut is one of my most used fx apps

Me too, that and Discord get put on nearly everything.

Which one to buy if you had choose just one?

Discord, as it can do everything from subtle reverb to completely bonkers pitch/filter shifting.

Yeah but so can Kosmonaut. For me, Discord sounds grimier and better suited for darker vibes while kosmonaut capable of that but also brighter vibes? Idk...could be biased. I just got Discord earlier today.

is it possible to get anything lush and warm?

I guess it really depends on your definition of lush and warm. I'm getting BOC type stuff out of Kronecker.

I only bought it last night... most of the presets are a bit "icy"... and I happen to like pretty much all of them. Agree that it depends on how you'd define "warm and lush", but you can certainly take some of the icy edge off with pitch and resonance adjustments.

It's capable of some incredible complexity though... and after an hour with it, the interface wasn't nearly as cryptic. And this was all intuitive. It looks daunting at first, but it makes sense quickly.

  • photophore on sale..great synth

  • Here's an odd one I hadnt seen before, chiptune remix module:
    https://appsliced.co/app?n=gambi&l=list

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=46&v=t5lTCP3NxJc

It plays included chip tunes from old video games on its emulator plus you can turn the parts on and off for remixing. It has Audiobus and Audiocopy too.

Did you guys see MidiDesigner 2 is $20, or $5 off normal price.
Also ScytheSynth seems to get cheaper, it is currently $2.

I think Scythe Synth is as close as I'll get the a PGP Wave type of sampler. It looks so cool when it highlights the "wave" cycle currently being rendered in the stack of cycles. The programmer has created a unique User Interface design. He's also a lone wolf that has labored over this app to make it better and better (and to get the sunk costs of development to pay off).

It can import any wave to use for the engines to process and has added some pretty decent internal FX but excellent external FX are also going out the door at $2 this weekend. Mixing the right starting inputs and morphing between them is probably the key to making something unique.

I think I should ban myself from the forum. Total BF purchases thus far: $2.99 World pack in SMPlayer. Only a Crudebyte sale can help me now. Christian, if you can read me, an iOS soul is at stake!

I grabbed every pack for iSymphonic, but one, last year. Thank Tod.

  • Also ScytheSynth seems to get cheaper, it is currently $2.

Anyone know what the ScytheSynth IAPs normally cost? They are $3.50 here, while the iPhone ones are $1.69.
$10.50 still seems like a bit much for something I probably wouldn't really use until some time in the future when it gets the AUv3 treatment.

That is close to regular price. They were $0.99, before the app price dropped further.

  • They are $1.69 (.99 in the US) here in the iPhone version, but $3.50 in the iPad one.

  • Well, I did it. I sent heartfelt imprecations to Crudebyte for a sale. I reasoned with them, I had sales graphs, incentive programs... Ok, ok, I got down on my knees and begged for you guys. I used every sales pitch I could think of, including a promise to deify Christian, which I hope I can figure out somehow... the opposite of an exorcism, maybe? A backwards exorcism? That might do it. Honestly, I owe it to you all.... my most viewed thread ever. Beyond the delusional Logic rumor thread by 10k at least. And all thanks to @BitterGums. Really it is his thread. I share the glory with him! Now pray for rain!

BIAS Pedal and BIAS FX IAPs are also all at 50% off.

  • Hi,

Thanks for that great list. I don't believe that the Beatmaker 3 app price is a Black Friday sale. I think that is the new normal price. I have been watching it for a couple of weeks and it has been 24.99 that whole time.

  • Is the Stagelight IOS unlock on sale?

  • Regular price is $14.99 but you can bring it down by doing some extras. I needed up getting it for only $4.99 after so it’s totally worth it!

  • Anyone have opinions on Cyclops vs Bassalicious?

I know I don't need another synth but I'm fascinated by the grit and wub of Cyclops and the FUNK of Bassalicious.

I'm slightly confused as to the difference between Pedal and FX.
can you elucidate and illuminate my ignorance? I downloaded both and was looking to optimize my sales purchases. One seems to be FX creation (pedals) and the other just FX (premade).

Which packs would you recommend? (I like ambient stuff, but also guitar -- think Pink Floyd, RadioHead, and Muse)

Yeah. Aum is great. Have not tried apematrix because i need to stop creating extra roadblocks, fonstantly learning new shit. Aum is beautiful and minimal and has the great audioshare integration and midi routing is so easy and assignable.

    Another +1 for AUM.

Pure quality. Unbelievably reliable. Absolutely pro software.

His stuff is always top tier stuff.

BIAS FX is what you want. Pedal is not necessary. BIAS FX is a standard amp sim (and a pretty good one too).

  • I’ve been quite a good boy (might have something to do with me owning most apps already).

So far I’ve just gone for:

    • Quanta (some amazing presets and a steal at £2)
    • Phosphor 2 (very few presets, but sounds interesting and can’t complain for £2)
    • Mood - £6 (am loving this so far - amazing presets, iPhone, randomiser - my new favourite thing)

So I’m £10 down (Although I did buy Kaldron the other day. Oh and Stage Light... of course).

Right now toying with the idea of stretching to Kronecker (£6) and maybe Discord (£2). Oh and that new AU midi keyboard (£6 until Monday).

Mmm - I guess it starts to add up...

  • @richardyot ...just added the Bias sales, thank you! @espiegel123 updated the BM3 info, thanks for the tip
