first thing I wanna know is if it has parameter locks?
Simples ! Or is that Samples a new sampling production work station from Elektron.
https://www.gearnews.com/namm-2019-leak-model-samples-is-elektrons-new-sampling-production-workstation/
a new product but still no overbridge ? mhee
6 voice polyphony, no input, only stereo output, no effects other than reverb and delay send $400
So they do a lot of drugs at Elektron, right ?
It’s a Volca Sample on steroids !!!
As designed by a mad scientist!
If by steroids you mean that it can't actually sample anything? I'm sure I'm missing something here. Although by the odd naming convention, "Model: Samples," you would expect there would be other iterations, as if these were Elektron's Volcas.
I'm mostly hoping for a Cenk or Cuckoo tutorial on the Overbridge public beta.
Ill be there making all IOS videos for the YouTube channel . My picture is from last years NAMM
Drool!
why the heck is Roland so quiet?
Roland Sp888 and Rc555
This is pretty interesting. So you can lock the parameters per step but not samples. And can you really not add samples? Seems like Elektron would not want to close off the revenue stream of sound packs. As a consumer, I'd be a lot more interested if I could at least transfer samples in via computer.
https://studiologic-music.com/products/mixface/ this looks interesting for ios
It has sample transfer via USB. I’m kinda slightly tempted but need my funds to go elsewhere atm. Maybe when I can get a used one for 300 I’ll jump
@Exasperis99 yeah you can't sample like you can on a digitakt but can usb them over, I'm not certain yet on what it's like going the other way, like if the elektron transfer app works for backing up projects or what. I'll probably try to scoop one up if I can find one used sub 300 as well, however I do like the dedicated buttons and the workflow looks fun
that is kind of neat, I wonder if they've got an all knob version as well
The Volca Sample doesn’t sample either but this has class compliant USB for sample transfer which is a big improvement over the Volca for a start.
That's intriguing, though I have a Digitakt, which covers the same ground. But I agree with you: It's $100 too much.
I didn’t realize the Volca Sample couldn’t sample! How crazy. Just assumed you could.
The Elektron seems sort of crippled for that price.
The more I see of it, the more I like it!
Unfortunately me too. It seems gimped for 400 but on a 12 month payment plan its tempting. We will have to see how big the attachable battery is, I am mainly considering it as a chromatic capable companion to my SP404SX and iPad mobile setup.
That SL controller is cool but I bought a Nanokontrol Studio which cames with a Mainstsge plugin and more compatibility with iOS in the end. My Numa compact 2 will be happy anyways...
@kobamoto because there making new DJ gear! Or at least old gear with new sync capabilities
https://www.roland.com/jp/promos/tr-serato-sync/
Hopefully we see some new out of this world iOS compatible midi controllers from Arturia announced today, they are hinting of 3 new products on their website and its down again this morning for me anyhow.
yeah, i'm looking for some gear that i can put in my backpack and jus spent time outside, but with some bit of hands on, ios plus midi controlled rotaries.
https://www.studiologic-music.com/products/mixface/ or a Korg nanoKONTROL Studio,
well still thinking about a novation SL 25 or 37
After see how easy was integrate nanokontrol studio into garageband/logic on mac I found it’s hardly to improve.
sick of these shenanigans man they need to get back on the freakin wagon, the least they could have done is update the Roland mx-1 mixer to class compliancy ...
you know no matter what it is, whether it's hardware or software or iOS ware the people have let it be known what they want, they need to start giving people what they want in exchange for money this ain't rocket science.
Cool guys I'm stoked! I get there Friday this year which is weird because for the past two decades I've gone for the whole 4 days. I will stop by all the booths mentioned here. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
