  • This and Thesys AU on the same day, and they both go so well together :)

  • Such a unique app having tons of fun with it. One thing I have noticed is on a couple of occasions in Cubasis 2 and also in other DAWs the transport just stops running for no reason. Anyone else experiencing this?

  • Using Enso inside Ape matrix because of the matrix nature of the DAW is pretty insane you can get multiple looping going in no time.

  • Am I the only one swiping and tapping the loop to start recording and delete?

  • This is looking great, is there a way to quantise sector changes so it finishes the current sector and starts the next one on the beat?

Can confirm the behavior in Cubasis.

    But what a great app!!!

Ha, no. Same here! Old dogs, new tricks, etc

  • getting some crashes and cpu hits when I LFO the sectors, it's better when the gui is hidden whilst in AUM

  • Looks cool Whats the maximum amount of loops . Also if I load a few instances in DAW do the loops all sync well? Thanks in advance any info

  • S'funny, I did watch the full length feature, but am going to need the Let's Speak Loud and Slow for the Boys at the Back version @thesoundtestroom :)

  • Is there a count in count out feature like in Loopy? I can’t find it.

Me too. I watched the 40 minute vid again last night, as it hadn’t dropped here then, and thought I knew how it all worked.

Got the app this morning and erm.... I can get it to do stuff, but a bit confused as to how I’m doing it. In particular the play/stop buttons in the middle...can’t work out how they’re working with the ones on the left.

Please add me to that list. Bought it but clueless how I might use it.

Or a threshold. It’s respecting the AUMs measures but i need some attempts to get it going :) haha my timing

Ok, so far the only thing I’d buy @Chris_Randall a beer to add is to have rhythm-based increment/decrement options for rec/playback speed in addition to pitch based ones... Yea, I could do the math, but I’m lazy. 😀

What I mean is, since we know host tempo and loop length we should be able to say, “increase record speed by x bpm for every + press”

And not sure if it’s a bug, but the quantize option doesn’t seem to work for overdub. Seems to overdub as soon as you press overdub or trigger... seems like the trigger for overdub should also quantize...

ditto..... make it an on off option for best results.

I watched the 40min before purchasing... was mostly lost on first play after buying. Then watched the 40min a second time (helped a lot).. and it’s mostly clicked now. Might need a skim of the 40min vid for the effects combined with turning off dub in place and unlinked play/rec heads.

It’s an impressive app for sure... but I’ve been getting somewhat similar results with transport-linked multiple instances of RE-1.

Now that I’ve got at least a clue now of how Enso works, combining instances of Enso WITH instances of RE-1... “My God, it’s full of stars.”

  • Okay. Bought it because, you know, it's AD.

I have no idea what to do with it because, you know, I'm an idiot.

Would anyone mind to post examples, videos, whatever?

@AudioGus it looks like these are some of the automation options when adding Enso as an audio FX to a bank.

    Aww, sweet, thanks Gus brother!

  • @Chris_Randall Is there a way to easily reset the sectors to default? Not the X that clears the recorded loop portion in the sectors, but the actual sector location/length settings.

  • Finally an AU looper. It is fun. I love the reverse, being able to slowly degrade the loop over time. Amazing app.

I am getting a clicking/popping at the start of the loop regardless of my timing. Similar setup, I still get a slight dip in Loopy but not a pop or click. I think Michael has some sort of voodoo cross-fade magic to tie the start and end of the loop together.

Now if you prime the loop before laying down a seamless pad, it seems to work out a lot better.

  • @Chris_Randall when you have multiple instances of Enso loaded in apeMatrix, each with different settings... is there an easy way to trigger them simultaneously in sync? Or, could that only be accomplished by using a midi controller?

@Chris_Randall Few problems trying to record the audio from looping out in Cubasis 2 and Bitwig with the VST version. Because it’s running off the transport it’s hard to tell if the tracks going down or what? I tried sending to seperate audio tracks in Bitwig but still no joy bit confused on the routing?

    Nope

  • Is there a manual/QuickStart somewhere that describes what the buttons do and the workflow?

  • edited March 2019

Anyone else having issues accessing the AU after installing? Despite the splash screen, not seeing Enso in AUM, AB3 or Cubasis?
Tried redownloading, rebooting device, two ipads...
I can access all other AD apps

I think we can load Enso only in an insert/effect slot not as an instrument.
