Here, I get the AU to play in AUM, but I could not manage to get any play heads to start in the standalone app.

Regarding my previous comment on parameters; especially the top bar loop region, and some of the playhead parameters (start, octave, ...) - would love to assign those to knobs, XY pads, macros and such!

Two Fugue Machines, running two playheads each, into a Viking, a Quanta, a Phoshor 2, a DRC, with a Ratshack and a Kosmonaut thrown in. Running some instant inspired lunacy at less than 50 DSP on me olde Air 2. This is fantastic. A stone cold iOS classic app is reborn. Well done @Alexandernaut .

    Show your work!! :)
AUM? I can’t start the playheads.

Yes, in AUM. Be sure to have the AUM transport running.

For the standalone app, any chance you have MIDI Clock Input set to ON in settings? Perhaps from the last time you used the app?

  • @Alexandernaut great update - having lots of fun with this again!!

You need to start AUM transport too and probably pick a low tempo like 20bpm

    Spot on! That fixed it.
I had no idea it was on so I didn’t think to check - I normally don’t use midi clock.

I was a little skeptical but that worked! Thanks!

I bought it again and a message appeared I already paid for the app and this update was free of charge....so go ahead.
Excellent update by the way, iPhone and AUv3 : wow

Worked here.. Thanks for the update...

  • @Alexandernaut great update cheers. Any future thoughts on adding CC parameters control for playheads stop start, tempo, pitch etc. Also would love to be able to hardware control FM with midi learn.

@Alexandernaut Is there an iOS version limit on the AUv3?

I’m on iOS 11.4.1 but unable as yet to locate FM in AUM.

    Cheers

Oh snap! I just realized that I had to set the minimum OS separately for the AU! All this time I thought it wasn't compatible for iOS 10. Submitting update now, will do expedited request. Apologies 🙌

So right now AU will work iOS 12.1+, will be 10+ after this goes through.

Ok, cool. Good to know I wasn’t going mad. :)

I LIVE CLOSE ENOUGH TO @Alexandernaut TO CATCH HIM IN A NET AND LOCK HIM IN A TOWER AND FORCE HIM TO CODE FOR US FOREVER! WHO’S IN?!!!

I’m in. I’m close enough, and I’m just that jealous of his hair to do it whether he codes or not.

AUM has to be in play mode. It will start Fugue AU automatically.

  • I just reconfirm- the App Store did not charge me for the iPhone install. At the end of the process it said I was not charged because I already owned a previous version of the product. Apple is so puzzling sometimes.

  • Really amazing....

  • Whomever said "surprise update of the year" nailed it. A wonderful surprise!

  • Standalone shows up but I am not seeing it as an Auv3 in Audiobus or AUM, under Fugue Machine or FM.AU. Loads of fun though, can’t wait until this is fixed!

  • Anyone know a way to change midi channels in the Auv3 like the stand alone? Trying to get it out to hardware and it seems to only transmit on channel 1. Hosting in AUM.....maybe I missed something?

  • To return to the comment that killed the last thread (“thread killer” is my mutant ability).
This is what I’m seeing on an iPhone SE.

Oh hmmm, that looks a bit less space than I've seen in my testing. What phone are you using? And do u have any system wide zooming going on?

To move the whole device in AUM, just pan the top or bottom gray bars.

  • Omg today is great now !

Updated my OS from 12 something to another 12 something, it shows up now.

Sweet. And sorry about the that. I accidentally had the AU at 12.1, even though it should be 10.0 like the standalone. Already fixed and awaiting review. 🙌

Ah, apologies for this. I'll try to squeeze the interface down some more — I limit its minimum size to maintain usability. In the meantime, you can move the view up in AUM by panning the view's bottom gray bar. Maybe try moving it high up and increasing its height to expose the bottom parameters. Not ideal I know, but should be a temporary solution.

The AU is locked at channel 1 at the moment. I'll add a channel parameter.

Yes! Hoping to add CC control to the standalone app on the next update, which will likely be soon.

  • We’ve had some killer stuff already this year and this is the icing to the first quarter, nice one.

Whatever the next app is from @Alexandernaut I’m in, this is the way to breed dev loyalty.

This will definitely put FM into a lot more use.

Any chance of exposing some of the AU parameters so that they can appear in AUM ctrl and other hosts as modulation targets?

Yes yes, will hopefully be looking into this for the next update. Could be super cool.

    You misspelled “Would”. :)

  • Amazing surprise! Fugue Machine, now and forever. AU parameter CC automation will make it super epic. Sidenote: wish StepPolyArp and Riffer had some parameters available.

+1000 for AU params. Also, transpose driven by midi notes into it would be awesome.
