@kin Let me know if that's what you were looking for
Very helpful, you must be one of the most responsive devs out there.
Thanks!

can anyone check this please? it doesn't work for me and its a really important feature if i want to use the grand staff AU mode for study.
@[Deleted User] I routed MIDI CC 64 (sustain) to Grand Staff in apeMatrix and Grand Staff was sustaining the chord display while the CC value was above 64.
Hey man, did you use a sustain pedal?
@[Deleted User] I faked a sustain pedal using the SendMIDI plugin and it seems to work.
If you have MIDI Spy or equivalent, I suggest you look at what events are being sent to Grand Staff. The sustain pedal (MIDI CC 64) doesn't change the Note On/Off events but it does change the way they are interpreted (by Grand Staff).
Sending midi cc 64 from other apps to grandstaff works. Its using my sustain pedal that is the issue.
Yep i did that and my sustain pedal sends midi cc 64 (it a continuous pedal) and it works fine on my other apps.

He’s got the most impossible bug. I’ve recreated the messages his pedal sends with my own and everything works perfectly on my end. No idea what’s going on
Sorry 🤗 i really like to use my pedal 😊
Understandable. Maybe try routing it through a midi filter to convert it into either cc 64 on (127) or off (0)? Might provide some insight as to what’s going on.
I will try, maybe your peers on the dev forum know the trick as my pedal works with the another ios apps.
If i use streambyter code fix velocity 100 and route to grandstaff the pedal works. Hope this is enough for you to fix it.
@[Deleted User] Wait is this fixed note velocity or something weird with the pedal?
Ill PM the code.
Maybe something to do with velocity of NoteOff event.
Interesting idea. I’ll look into it.
Tonality now comes with a keyboard for typing chord symbols in any app!
the app that keeps on giving 👍
Is this a AU limitation or something that could be implemented in the future? As prefer to map out first in Standalone due to GUI size.
@Jumpercollins
It’s a limitation at the moment but I can probably figure out a workaround. Which host are you using that can’t resize well?
@TonalityApp I use AUM mostly, I think you done the best job possible with AU GUI constraints. But now you added the chord pads into the standalone it’s just easier on a full screen to use it that way first.
@Jumpercollins Ah okay. Can you not make the pads nearly if not the same size in AUM by resizing the window? Sorry I'm just a tad confused.
@TonalityApp There is totally no issue with this it’s just when I sometimes I use the AU I lose the top part of the window as in any AU app above my actual screen estate.
Therefore I am unable to close down the window and have to quit AUM.
It’s a general AU problem not just Tonality based.
I wish AU apps had a minimise feature on the bottom pane bar part of the AU window next to the drag to fit marker to get round this problem.
Got no problem with you layouts they are perfect.
@Jumpercollins Wait can you not drag it back into frame by dragging not on the bottom right corner but slightly to the left of it? Also neat trick I learned recently: double tapping the top bar of any AU in AUM makes it fit to screen
@TonalityApp Your right just tried it I had a few problems with it in the past thanks for the tips.
@Jumpercollins Glad I could help!
Version 6.0 is out now with lots of new tools for editing chord pads and a "randomize velocity" option!
Oh heck yes
I've also just put it on sale for a bit.
