@Crabman Who has iTunes cards on sale right now? Thanks!
Here's another tip
Freeze all your tracks and then you can access each part as a WAV file from ifunbox. then just open in ableton or reason

Good find! Thanks
What directory are they in?
one very important question before i hit the buy button:i know it's clip/loop based but is this possible to record automation over a whole song?I REALLY need this function for volume fades etc.
Other than fading in or out each track separately I have not found a way to fade the entire song. I would like to know also if it is possible. I messed around a bit the other day trying this but had no luck. I hope the main volume gets automation in a future update.

That's a mega tip! Cheers
Oh how refreshing it is to be using the 'other' apps these days!
Ikaossilator+impaktor through turnado into mt daw. Within the good old AB1
500 comments! Korg has certainly got the attention of the iOS music making world with this one.

...and it looks like what i'm hoping for but maybe i misunderstood this?He said"recordings"but is there really a difference between record midi notes instead of knob movements?

Oh, it has IAA? I still don't get it. I'm not a synth head though. Glad everyone else is enjoying it. It's just not my style of app I guess. Cool to hear that everyone loves it so much. I will be selfish now and say I do wish they'd spent their development time and money adding IAA support to some of their existing apps (I've already paid a lot of money for).
Mute the tracks you don't want. Save. Export to DropBox or AudioShare. Import into Auria or Cubasis. Repeat.
Remember to turn off Gadget's reverb and limiter.
No need to hook up to a computer or jailbreak to use a better mixer and IAA effects.
There's no IAA yet. TBH, I haven't even missed AB or IAA in Gadget yet, and when they are added, I'm not sure how much mileage I'll get out of them on my ipad2 anyway.

Yeah,that's the well known oldskool way for many sketch pads.It works but is terrible in terms of workflow.Not to mention that i'm sick of cubasis current timing issues,audio dropouts and other bugs.Or Aurias terrible sluggish edit screen.
So,my finger is stil hovering about the"buy"button.Nobody that can give me a quick answer if there's at least volume automation for an instrument that covers the whole song and not just 8 bars max?I read the manual but maybe not careful enough.An answer would be very nice cause i'm an appaholic and want to spend money.Need to spend money.NOW :-)

This made me actually lol. What does a guy have to do to get someone to take their money around here?
@boone51 no it hasn't. I just think that IAA should be changed to offer something like Gadget but for multiple separate apps. To have entire apps inject their UI inside a main app and be controllable through that app.
But the iPad RAM is too lame to allow that actually...
Right. And honestly I'm quite happy with my apps I have working with IAA now. For me, being able to use drumjam, CMP Piano, and Amplitube (hate amplitube honestly but its the only modeler that's arrived at the party yet - besides BIAS which throws cpu warnings even on my Air after a few minutes in Auria via IAA) directly into Auria without an latecny is awesome. Forget about the buggy nature of IAA itself. Hopefully they'll get that sorted sooner than later, but I'm enjoying the hell out of the workflow as is right now. Still love AB of course. Just like the workflow options I've got right now.
@crabman
I recorded 8 bars with 2 gadgets. Copy/duplicated to 3 new scenes/tracks, having a song that was 24 bars long. And recording automation for the volume faders in the mixer worked just like in a traditional linear arrangement sequencer. So recording fader movements in one take over the three 8-bar long clips and 3 scenes (the whole song) will result in each clip getting it's own fader automation recording.
So record mixer movements over a whole song works just fine, but if you have more then a few gadgets it'll be a bit of a hassle doing fade-in and a fade-out for the entire project since you can't group mixer channels (and the master fader can't be recorded).

That is exactly the information i needed.Many thanks!I don't need a lot of automation going on but some automation is very important,i don't like static instrument"on/off"switches.I like to have it more dynamic and alive.
I assmue it will work for something else like cutoff as well?
I remember that Korg always had great automation possibilities in their apps but only for the running loop,not for en entire song (in iPolysix for example).
Would you excuse me for a minute?I have to visit the App store now.
@Buska said:
Also, if you've jailbroken, you can get into that directory and paste those files into audioshare for audiobus fun!
@crabman Yes it works for any knob, slider, buttons etc (besides the master out) as far as I can tell. So it's just like a traditional sequencer, except that if you wanna edit the automation(s) you gotta do it on a per clip basis.
One of the few remaining holdouts here.. But just hit the Buy button on this. I hope it lives up to the hype (pretty sure it will!)
