i don’t see the photos app in there to get my screen capture audio from. is it located somewhere else?
@eross you need first to save your screen recording in the File app. It can be done from Photo app->save into File
About hold, that's strange, it works fine here. Could you try again with other pads, other files etc...
i closed the app and reopened and now it works fine for the hold function
oh ok, i’ll try that for the screen recording. thanks for that feature it will come in really useful
@eross it's a pity than multitasking doesn't work on iPhone...the drag feature on iPad is great
yeah i can’t wait to get home from work to try that out on my ipad
I just saved screen recording into eg pulse folder. I tried to load it to a pad as you would load any sample. but it won’t let me click on it to load it. I can see it in there, but the file icon is unselectable. almost as if it is a no compatible file type or something.
@ElliottGarage You sir are the best. Just left another 5 Star review. Keep up the amazing work.
While I'm here, have you seen this video of the Digitakt and Models: Samples, and how they can replicate those old style tape loops via an Infinite Hold on the Decay of the Sample. Just tried it out on my Octatrack at home, and well..would love to see this in an iOS app of some sort
Any plans for ADSR and Loop Regions on Samples in EF Pulse?
@eross you're right! I forgot to add video and m4a among the file you can open there! ... next update will include it, sorry
Is there a way to create patterns longer than one measure?
no worries. awesome update. this app is quickly becoming one of my favorites on ios ever!
@espiegel123 is it more than one measure so important when you can switch among 16 patterns and you can create a patterns sequence in song section? Am I missing something?
thanks @eross and @echoopera
Some grooves are 2 or 4 measures long and having to create/record them as single measures you string together breaks the flow. BeatHawk, GR-16 and Korg Electribe Wave all have this ability. Both GR-16 and KEW have a fixed number of steps visible but have found different (similar) solutions to create/edit multi-bar patterns.
I love what you have done but am disappointed by this limitation.
@espiegel123 ok I'll think about it
I’m probably just being an idiot so I apologise in advance but I can’t seem to record from the sequencer when using as an audio unit in garage band. What am I doing wrong?!
@FesteringMike did you enable host sync in Pulse?
@ElliottGarage Simply, WOW.
@Trueyorky
Yes. And then the audio unit crashes or it doesn’t record
Does this handle multi-velocity samples? Velocity ranges with different samples that is.
@FesteringMike can you try disabling and re enabling the MIDI out in settings?
@hellquist that is in my TODO list
Still nothing
@FesteringMike iPhone or iPad? Did you set a Midi mapping for the pads (in edit view)?
iPhone. And no. But the pads record when used on their own
@FesteringMike did you update to the last version? 1.05, it came out few hours ago
I’ll try now
Velocity->Sample Start (with % scaling) could be nice with an option to disable Velocity->Volume mapping
(This is the way 'slicing' was done in the early days).
Ok so that worked. But the midi mapping keeps erasing itself so it only records one pad
@FesteringMike you need to make Pulse learn the midi map when not in playing.
You can use the garageband keyboard to map the sounds to MIDI note. Then close the edit view (save the drumkit so that the map will be stored with it) and start playing
👌 update. This is quickly shaping into something special.
