    i agree this is not enough, having to go into song mode to make a part longer isn’ta fun work around...makes it hard to do any kinda long sample / pad before the pattern loops...
    even at slower tempo like 80bpm it loops back way to fast.. any way to get this longer???

    You’re probably clicking on a note that’s at a timing less than the quantize setting. That threw mw off at first too. For instance, if you have quantize set to 1/8 and you tap on a 1/16 note, it won’t delete the 1/16 and it’ll place a note on the nearest 1/8. Set the quantization to a lower division and it’ll work like you expect.

    @wim cheers for info. I don’t think Pulse is for me. I thought it was what you said but that for me makes the workflow not what I’am used to.

    @reasOne I really don’t understand why this is. Its 2020 As I said before Iam in no way trying to put anyone off Pulse but to the dev @ElliottGarage Pulse needs as many bars as the user should want to use. Its so restricted that & the fixed swing options. Hope you can update this. Its an app at mid range pricing and those fixed settings make it feel like a stripped down version of what is otherwise a good app (Pulse) in the rest of its workflow

    I'm planning to sequence Pulse from Groove Rider GR-16, has anyone done this?
    WIll I need to create a separate instance of Pulse for each MIDI channel, or can different MIDI channels be assigned to different pads/samples internally?

    the plan is to have 4-5 different Pulse instances that I can apply send fx to individually, all driven by the GR16 sequencer

    I think EG Pulse accepts a single midi channel but you can send the midi by the appropriate notes. Also in AUM you can use the channel to select which note the channel responds to. Pretty cool. I might try this as well.

    Been going back into Pulse - question. How are most of you extending pattern lengths - I seem to be getting 1 bar only. Any tips are appreciated

    I think each pattern is only one bar long. 64 steps (1/64th note) maximum, and you have to chain patterns together to have more than one bar patterns.

    yes, this is def something i hope he changes! i really can’t work that short considering i use longer sounds and make ambient stuff, unfortunately chaining patterns in song mode is a hard work around for me

    Yeah I’ve found a lot of lofi and boom bap kits on there that I like to use but there’s usually a large variety of everything

    I like Pulse but the one-bar per pattern limit keeps me from using it.

    I have been using Xequence 2 to record my midi.
    I wonder why the limit?

    can anyone tell me how many outputs each instance of EG Pulse allows with the new AUM update?

    Bug?
    Updated, both Aum and Eg Pulse.
    Eg pulse multi-output on aum audio track node.
    Link enabled in eg pulse
    Pressing play makes the playhead act weird (going something like1-7,1-7,1-7,1-14, skipping sequenced hits, and so on, quite unpredictably)
    Disabling Link in eg pulse seems to stop erratic behavior. Rebooted Ipad (pro 2018, 11) and behavior still exist on same settings and link enabled.

    Dunno if this just eg pulse, or Ableton Link in AUM that's bugging.
