here's a video showing the multi-output routing feature...I'm gonna deploy it to the app store in few hours
Ultra awesome! Thanks for your hard work!❤️❤️❤️
@ElliottGarage wow! You're fast! That is gonna be super useful
Thanks guys, but the routing feature was preatty easy once the multi-output was implemented.
BTW please remember to write or update your app store review, it's very important for little indie dev
Hi @ElliottGarage, I am thinking how awesome it would be to import multisampled acoustic drum hits to EG Pulse. For instance, if I have a folder of snare hits at multiple velocities and they are named something like snare_v1....snare_vx, with vx referring to the velocity level, I could drag all of the samples onto a pad. The auto mapping feature would simply, based on e.g. the file naming convention above, map the samples into equally sized velocity ranges. For example, for 4 velocity layers, sample_v1 would be mapped to velocity 1-32, sample_v2 to 33-63, sample_v3 to 64-95 and sample_v4 to 96-127, and so on, depending on the number of samples imported. One could of course also edit the ranges manually after import if needed but it would be so time saving to have a similar per pad based velocity range automap feature. The more layers of course, the better. Something like 8 or 16 layers would already allow for super realistic drums. What do you think?
@ElliottGarage
Really nice app. The only downside imo is that it’s virtually impossible to get the AUv3 showing full screen in AUM on an iPad Air2 9.7 screen. I’m sure it’s better on the bigger screens though and I know it’s time for an upgrade lol
How do we set the number of bars for a pattern ? I must be missing something obvious.
Maybe, I misinterpreted EG’s message. I misread it to mean that multiple bars was in 1.15. I guess it means that multiple bars is on the timeline for a future update.
Holy shit this is a life saver, thanks for the awesome update
Done 👍🏻
.
is anyone else experiencing problems with EG Pulse reloading samples?
Sadly, in the two projects I have worked on since buying EG Pulse earlier this week, the samples have been missing when I re-loaded the project. This is despite me saving the kit.
I also notice, if I have put more than one of my own samples into an instance of EG Pulse, upon saving the kit all samples expect Pad 1 will be missing. The pad name will reflect the sample that was previously there, but there's no sound coming from it.
Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug?
I can agreen with this, using a standard 2018 iPad. After double-tapping the AUM bar to maximize, there is still much scrolling needed, for instance to see the bottom row of 1-16 pattern selectors.
Even on my 12.9" you have to scroll (inside AUM)...
@ElliottGarage these updates sound great!
Any chance copy and paste from one pad to another could be added to the timeline? It’ll make this app so much more nimble and presumably not that hard to do??
I agree with the size thing
On my iPad mini lots of scrolling, recently brought iPad pro 11inch, and still lots of scrolling, the app doesn't resize as I would expect like lots of other other au3's
Still kicks arse thou !!!
But really want more than 1 bar, thought it wasn't going to be a problem, but gradually beginning to annoy me
about fullsize ... if you grab the left bottom corner of the plugin in AUM you can resize the view how you like and see Pulse in fullscreen. AUM also remember the view size and it will reopen the plugin at the right dimension.
Unfortunately each daw reacts differently to the fullscreen mode, and if I change the way Pulse goes fullscreen in AUM I'll break how it appears in Cubasis or Garageband.
I think if I use the bottom corner to resize to fullscreen, with the aim to show the 1-16 boxes, I need to make the window so large that it also covers the AUM transport bar. That is a bit unfortunate.
Not sure what you mean, as I can only get most of the apps screen in view. I can not seem to get any time when no scrolling is needed. Pic below to show what I mean
Haven't used this app in a while but the updated features look great.
Can someone please confirm if the pad layout was ever updated for user customising ... to match the usual bottom left to top right (Maschine) layout?
Thanks
Nope, it’s top left to bottom right. Confused me too to start with. So used to most apps starting at the bottom left and going up
I agree about the pad layout, many updates, but this not being addressed, so guess it's not going to change
It's not a deal breaker
Great dev, that replies really quickly to direct mailed questions
Great app
Please can we have pad layout user customising added to your long list of feature requests? ... (to match the usual bottom left to top right (Maschine) layout)
Thanks for the great app
Yeah, I can live with it, as while most grid apps use bottom to top, many of the lane or two x grid types start at the top, so I’ve had to get used to many differences between apps before now
Much anticipated! Thanks.
I bought Pulse knowing it will be convenient for me one day.
So I’m giving it a try curious about the multi outs in Aum latest update.
How do I assign each sound for an output Bus?
There’s no sounds coming when I play a sequenced pattern but when hitting pads there is a sound.
Great idea sequencing Pulse with GR16. @drewinnit I use BeatHawk sequenced by GR16.
GR16 offers a very versatile probability options. I wish it was on Pulse.
Yes, I have the pad layout switch in my todo list...I just need to think how to change it without breaking the users already created kit layout. But it will come
@Fruitbat1919 Pulse automatically adjust its size to fill the container width. Simply try to grab the left bottom corner and drag it to the left (without changing the view height)
Oh, that's a surprise, must try later. Is it different from right bottom corner, where we see the AUM "-"? That's where most users are dragging from.

cool! is Beathawk reliable? What makes you now want to use Pulse?
I am looking for a Pulse alternative due to unreliable recall of samples and considering Beathawk
After Aum and EG pulse update I can’t find on pulse the output bus assignable numbers
