Just made a beat with the new update in Cubasis.
Would be nice if he could make the icons a little bit bigger.but still a good update

Really nice.. The ‘creators of instruments’ have really set the standard over these couple of months and took Auv3 to a higher level..One only have to wonder what the ‘host creators’ have planned for us? Will love to see, ‘state saving and recall’ with morphing (Maschine type LOCK) features brought to the iPad.. that will sew everything together...
    Nice track there..

Here is a creative way of recording your drum patterns from Digi to Cubasis without using song mode.just activate host sync, tap on record in Cubasis and start to manually change the patterns and then deactivate host sync when done.

But why is the interface so small on your device? That's how it looks here (latest update installed) @Paa89

Thanks very much.4pockets is listening to customers and adding things step by step.
Am also very curious to see what Lars and his team are going to release for Cubasis in the coming months.

I don’t think you have the latest update. It just came out today....it does make the interface smaller 😢

Haven't tried it in other DAW's, but resized fine in AUM.

  • i searched the appstore before i wrote my last post and it wasn't there but now it is...not gonna update then.

Probably s smart move to not update. Unfortunately i updated hoping it would improve the GUI even more, but this new ‘portrait’ mode turns the whole thing into a post stamp size GUI with a lot of unused wasted space on the sides. It can hardly be seen without magnifying glasses. Wish i didn’t update because it became pretty much unusable unless you make the AU full screen.

I am not really understanding the reason to make this change to the GUIi, to me this update was a move in the wrong direction 😔

  • Update renders use on iPhone 6s more/less microscopically unusable. Damn.

Can anyone confirm if [email protected] is indeed an actual contact to developer?

Not having any issues in NS2. Portrait works standalone too which can come in handy. My phone is too small either way with most apps so that doesn’t effect me.

This is how it looks now in non-full screen mode in GB (also in Cubasis)

  • I try not to be a complainer, but I’m kinda bummed that velocity layering is still useless. I emailed the support address, mentioned it here, and even made note in my app-store review (while maintaining a high star rating though). Nothing.

Sadly, this otherwise amazing app is completely useless for multiple samples with velocity layering. Instead of playing each individual sample at the velocity set for it, it progressively stacks the samples on top of each other. At the top velocity layer you have up to 5 samples triggered at the same time. The odd thing is an update increasing the layers from 3 to 5 didn’t address this fundamental flaw. It’s so odd, that I’m wondering if the developer thinks this is the way it should work?

    I’ll try tagging @4Pockets. Maybe?

  • Especially after this last update I'm wondering what the correct way to contact the developer is.

The website(s) I've found so far seem radically outdated / possibly unrelated to the latest output of (excellent) 4Pockets apps.

I've not heard back from my email contact to the developer (not that I would guaranteed) but it's strange that one would be as app-prolific and not more present to users and feedback.

  • The developer can be contacted by the email already posted or on Facebook.

Just give it some time. He has been posting updates at a furious rate since release. Let’s play the long game here and hope he has not burnt himself out.

How do you save a MIDI map? Is it saved per kit?

    No one?

It can be saved as a kit. It can also be saved with sample references as a song if you don't want to duplicate your samples.

I think most developers are also frantically trying to get updates out for iOS13 compatibility and 4Pockets have been popping apps out like Gremlins lately!

+1 on a need for fixing this. It is a showstopper for me.

  • I understand the dev has fixed most of the UI issues. It has been submitted to Apple. Apparently in Cubasis it has to be run in full screen mode otherwise the UI is small. Fortunately it works fine for me in NS2 and portrait mode on my iPad in standalone mode is actually kind of cool. The entire interface is on-screen.

Yes I definitely like the portrait mode in standalone. Dev also confirmed the sizing will soon be fixed in Auv3. Best of both worlds

  • Cubasis issue appears to be fixed. I don’t use it so I can’t check.

  • Back to normal / usable again on iPhone. Yes!

Wait, what happened? I woke up to a wonderful update on Saturday that let me see two panels at once on the iPhone, and now there's another update the reduced it back to one. How is this usable on the iPhone? With only one panel, how do I input fades, triplets and 32 notes notes on the grid when those buttons are on a separate pane?

Slide up and the others will reappear!

It’s not ideal, but you can enable the “H” button, then the button you want, which will make it stay on, then scroll back up to enter the notes.
