  • Oh god mine are gone too. :o

  • edited October 2019

I noticed default saving was iCloud yesterday. I first moved all my miRack files to “On My iPad” and deselected the cloud save preference as I’m frequently not connected to WiFi with my iPad.

Beware: I had my miRack patches stored 'on my iPad' and updating reverted that to 'iCloud Drive' and thereby deleted all my patches :( They still show in 'recent used' in miRack, but i can't load them .

I also could no longer find the 12 key keyboard module, IIRC it had been a module tagged as controller. @[Deleted User] After updating to 1.04 there are only 5 controller modules, and no keyboard module

Are you using a NON ipad pro?

I actually have iCloud disabled FYI. Im on latest version 1.04 with 8 controller modules.

I'm using an iPad Pro 10.5 with IOS 13.1. I have iCloud itself enabled, but set miRack to use 'On My iPad' in the miRack part of the IOS settings app ( miRacks default is to use iCloud Drive if thats available).

  • Oh did I break something while trying to make the fix for iPad Pro performance available as soon as possible? I’ll send a new version for review in a few hours and will be more careful in the future.

    👍

  • Wait...

    1. All Impromptu Modular modules show fine for me if I install the current App Store version. People who do not have them, can you please post your device/iOS version again?

    2. Restarting iPad helped me to fix the document browser issues (including miRack folder not showing). Document browser is giving me too many problems, fixing it or replacing will be high priority now.

I'm on an iPad Air 2, iOS13.1.2 the app version according to AppStore is 1.0.4 and the keyboard under Controllers is missing.
(I've not tried deleting the app and re-installing it yet...).

I've had no issues with the document browser and I've set the location to be 'On My iPad' instead of 'iCloud Drive'.
(I did that change before I launched the app the first time).

Hope this gets a solution (if delete and re-install is the option I'm ready to do that too).

Don't forget to back up the files if you decide to reinstall. Are all Impromptu Modular modules missing?

Air 2, iOS 12.3.1 Storage set to ‘On My IPad’.

Uninstall, reboot and reinstall did not fix the issue of the missing controllers.

If 'Impromptu' is the Packs name then yes all are missing as there is no pack named 'Impromptu' in the Add Module browser.

  • Ok updated to 1.04 and lost all my patches and I’m missing modules now as reported by @Samu.

My bad as had problems with App Store all weekend and forgot to back up to cloud with this app as was saving patches locally as was having trouble opening the app with cloud enabled! We live and learn.

  • After update my saved patches got moved to recent folder. I could load them fine though, and all the modules were there (inc. impromptu). On the second launch all my previously saved patches were back available again on my ipad/mirack.
    Air2, 12.4, iCloud disabled

Yes yes, opened it up for a second time and my patches are back vi the cloud they must of saved yes.

  • iPad Pro 9.7, 12.3.1, and I’m missing the Impromptu modules. I have my saved patches but the visual preview on them are now plainly showing as documents.

Something related to CPU throttling or moving threads to low-performance cores. Seems to be some difference between how audio thread and my additional threads are throttled. Not something I expected to change with iOS update.

Any chance that this solved also the audio glitch problems on iPad Pro 2015?

Sorry, no. This is the next thing I’ll look into.

    Ok, thanks for your work

  • iPad Pro 2015 - iOS 11.3.1 - All the modules are here and the documents browser work fine but the thumbnails are gone.

  • edited October 2019

    Air2 iPadOS 13.1
    No ‘Impromptu’ modules
    Only 5 ‘controllers’

  • Impromptu missing here too after auto-update to 1.04
    iOS 12.4.1
    iPad Air 2

  • Thanks. No idea what's special about Air 2 that could affect IM modules. Will find out as soon as a new beta version is approved for external testing.

I’m on an iPad 9.7 and mine are missing as well. I can try the beta if you’d like.

Same, iPad 9.7 Pro 2016 and they are missing in mine as well. Will look out for beta to test.

  • Ok, a new TestFlight build is approved. Existing testers should've received a notification. v1.05 build 30

I’m on a iPad Air 2, iPadOS 13.1.2, Latest version of miRack
Impromptu modules are available to me. FWIW, I never use iCloud. Its always been disabled.
I also NEVER do the “auto update” scheme. Manual only.
miRack folder and all my patches seem to be intact.

All working correctly as far as I can tell.

    Cheers

  • i think people with iOS12 are missing modules, people with iOS13 does not...

  • Curious, ipad air2 here. ios 13.1.2 latest mirack 10.4 but no impromtu !!!

At least one of the people reporting that modules are missing is running iOS 13.x

  • edited October 2019

@mifki Updated to 1.05, still no luck, still missing modules. I checked an old patch and controller module is not there and I don't see in module list. I've used iCloud for my setting.

  • Ok, I'll be uploading new beta builds until this is fixed, whoever can try them, can send me the results privately to avoid spamming here, if you prefer. Thanks for all reports.

  • As stated above:

    • IOS 13.1 iPad Pro 10.5
    • iCloud enabled, but miRack manually set to 'On my iPad' in settings app
=> no impromptu modules and lost all my patches during update to 1.0.4

Have you tried restarting your iPad? Unless you deleted the app nothing is lost, it’s just not showing for some reason.
